- In this video I show how I use my DeWalt laser detector to help me find the laser line over a longer distance when transferring plumb lines from the bottom timber plate to the top one.
Reminds me of days gone by. One at one end and my mate at the other end. "Left a bit, no right a bit, 2mm, and you there. " No, too much"...
Been there Gavin😆Its so much more civilised nowadays🤩Thanks for watching😎
Can’t understand why I never thought to do this. Would save a few trips up and down to check if it’s right. Great tip Del and great channel by the way 👌
Hi Kevin🖐It works a treat, and I think I'm going to buy one of those rotating, micro adjust bases to make lining the laser up a bit easier👊Thanks for watching bud😎Cheers Del
Great tip mate. It also helps when using the laser outside 👍
Sure does Tyler👍Thanks for watching fella😎Cheers Del
Great tip del, I would of never thought to use mine like that, great tool, cheers 👍
It works a treat Paddy👊 (my ears work better than my eyes now so this is awesome🤓) Cheers Del
Could not be without a laser now 🤘😎🤘
Same here Wayne👊Proper game changer😎Cheers bud
Great piece of kit 😎🧱👍🏽
I'm really finding it useful Steve👊Cheers bud👍

Good tip... and great camera skills!
Hi Marco🖐I know bud, I'm using the zoom now and everything🤯😆Thanks for watching😎Cheers Del
Хороший лазерный приЁмник от DeWALT с "пищалкой" 🎶👍
Hi there🖐Yes, my ears work better than my eyes now🤓Cheers Del
Hi great idea I have ordered mine to do just that. I have the Milwaukee 3 plane laser as it has minor adjustments which this one does not have and an offset cross line so a person can plumb a line to the ceiling and see the cross on the ground, great idea just need better tools
Hi Tom🖐I think Milwaukee hit the jackpot putting the micro adjust feature on their levels👊It shows that they are really thinking about how their tools actually get used on site👍I'm jealous of your level😉Thanks for watching and your comment😎Cheers Del
Have the same one, great tip, thanks.
Bloomin handy bit of kit Sean, and I haven't had mine long👊Thanks for watching😎Cheers Del
@@thetallcarpenter it's good alright the receiver, not the best though for outside big work(raft /foundation) I found out. Topcon all the way I'm afraid.
@@thetallcarpenter brill use of the receiver, will be v handy 👍👍👍
@@rockandmeatroll My eyes arnt that good at the best of times Sean, but my hearings still ok😁
@@rockandmeatroll I agree mate, and this little receiver together with the laser is definitely not a pro outside setting out set up🤔
ahh the fiddle to line up a laser without the microadjustbase is fun... turn 4mm at laser you think and it move 10cm other end ^^
We all have the same issues😬Apart from Milwaukee laser owners, as thier levels have a micro adjuster base which is AWESOME👊Thanks for your comment and for watching 😎 Cheers Del
I use 2 hilti dot lasers they are designed to fit over the floor plate so you just push up to floor plate one either end, dewalt do one as well lot cheaper
Hi Grant🖐That sounds brilliant mate👊then just join the two dots with a string line 👍 Time to go shopping🤑Thanks for your comment 😎 Cheers Del
Great Del. Does that detector work on just dewalt or all red and green lasers?
Only with a red if you’re using red and you need a green detector for a green laser.
Hi there🖐As Simon says, you need to have the right receiver for your lasers colour, but also this receiver doesn't work with earlier DeWalt lasers👊Cheers Del
Spot on Simon👍
Exactly how I do it 😊
Nice one David👊This laser receiver has been worth every penny👍Thanks for watching😎Cheers Del
@@thetallcarpenter I couldn't work without h a laser nowadays
@@1987pagey Absolutely the same here David👍
Do the receivers work with any laser?
No Aiden😬The laser has to be of a certain type to suit the receiver. This receiver didn't work with my older DeWalt laser👍Cheers Del
👍👍👍
Thanks for watching Pete🤩
nooice|!!!!
Cheers Garviel👊
