always good to see another video guys. Grade rods and detectors dont seem to get as much enthusiast based attention, so its nice to see something different.
*Really easy to use...set on a semi-level surface, or slap on some metal can and it self-levels. If you're lucky to have metal corner beads, the magnet will grab well. Frequently, I'm working on projects by myself. I underestimated how nice it is to be able to hold a workpiece up to the laser line and be able to shoot a screw with the free hand. It's cheap enough to splurge and adds a little fun technology to your work.*
How do you use the cross laser level on the roof pitch 12 12 so that you can put your metal roof panels on straight? the line goes left or right nephew go off center. How do you know where center is to begin with?
used a different brand digging drainage on farm fields. they are crucial for sloping a big O pipe across a hilly field. set one up Lazer on bucket of excavator, get your grade rod out and see where you need to be and voila you can dig for the day with confidence knowing your not too deep or too shallow for that water to move away from the valleys and through the hills.
Hey guys, Awesome laser setup. Love the green laser. I use these (old style) when setting grade for foundations and landscape grades. I also use them for setting deck Heights for stringers on large decks, and for setting drop ceiling Heights as well.
I bought this detector only to find that when you're outside the only one that can hear the detector is my dog. The audible is very faint and high pitch but not very loud. Dewalt you should have tested this in a real environment I even ordered a second one because the first would not read past 3' away from the laser. I am waiting for the second once and I hope the first one was just defective.
I've actually worked on one of those laser devices(the detector) that was used on a large crane. It was fried, several burnt up chips...no idea what the hell they did to it. The tool was insanely expensive so they nearly gave me a limitless budget, if I would have asked for $2000+, they would have paid it. Basically there is a 360 degree laser and the detector goes on the arm of the crane. Then there is a really long cable that connects it to a remote control in the cabin with the operator. They left me with the shortest cable they had, 100'.
You know you got a Dewalt fanboy when you have their toolbox. There are many brands that are better for chests. Not saying dewalt doesn't make many good things
OH MY GOD TRIPODS ARE ATTACKING YOU GUYS WITH LASERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL, nice vid guys have a safe trip in china, hopefully Dan you make it back! #TIACREW
Great video awesome dewalt laser detector. lasers are good the tolerance has gotten better in the detectors. Can't wait to get theses accessories thanks @toolsinaction #TIACREW
I don't know how I missed this video :/ but Thanks guys these are so cool way above my level of expertise lol! Wouldn't mind owning them though ;) T.I.A#1!!!! #TIACREW

I watched the video to Learn about the Grade Rod, they know less than I did about it lol
I have the one for the ruler like but the laser is a diffrent brand will it still work or they both have to have the same to work
What’s the difference between the big Dewalt rotary and a 360deg laser?

How do you tell if your grade rod isn't plumb? The longer the grade rod gets, the more that plumb angle affects things right?
+Evan Adams align the lines with the laser
Most laser staff rods come with a plumb bubble that clips on staff
The big thing with the coily wires coming down. Love it man, TIA is the best because of how real you guys are.

These are some nice lasers and the detectors are dead on. Nice job guys
Thank you so much
Nice and easy explanation guys.
I really need a Green Laser!
dewalt always is a good value play with the lasers. I had 2 over the last eight years. Not as nice as the Bosch, but does the job and a lot cheaper.
The green lasers are awesome
I really like this type of video. Thank you so much for making it.
You typed the model number wrong. It's supposed to be DW0892G. Accurate to 1.5mm @ 30m.
+Tae Garfman Good call
wow cool stuff didn't know DeWALT had those products
Thank u
Man l love that green laser from DeWalt. If I needed to do foundations that detector would be great. #tiacrew
J Glassey Have you found this works well outdoors? I’m looking to pick one laser that works great inside and outside instead of buying two lasers.
