I have another unexpected expense to add. When we first moved to the Central Florida area, we were visited many times by friends and family for both the purpose of seeing us and because they were on vacation. Well, when they're on vacation, YOU are on an unscheduled vacation at home. That means dining out, Disney, Epcot, and Universal tickets, sight-seeing around the state, time off from work, etc. In those first several years, we spent so much money seeing and doing unnecessarily stuff we'd already done, we actually wondered if "WE" would ever be able to go on vacation ourselves. The typical visit cost us $1,500-3,000 depending on whether we drove to other cities.
I love how real and honest you are. Great content
Thanks! I appreciate the kind words!

I can agree with this, it’s like a hidden tax when having family visit. We have had to put down our foot on many of these to keep finances in order.
