I'm 44 and live in The Villages! And have been enjoying documenting our life here! Hubby and I have a cozy courtyard villa close to all the shops and amenities. I lived in Orlando for over 24 years prior to moving here and still frequent O-Town because of friends, family, and of course Disney! You know what they say about The Villages! It's like Disney World for adults and it's so true! Lol. One of the 3k clubs you mentioned is a Mickey Fanatic's Club which I recently been accepted as a member after being on the waitlist for like 3 years! Seriously! Thanks for another great video!
Ken, I love the new you with your thumbnail! You’re aging in style my man! 😜 Grrrrreat overview of 55+ communities here in Central FL! We are beyond thrilled to live yards from Mystic Dunes GC in the Four Seasons community & love unbridled access to nearby amenities! To live where people vacation offers an incredible quality of life for me & mine and the many friends & family that visit us. We enjoy their company and they enjoy where we live! Cheers & thanks for the video! It was exceptionally well done! See ya round town or perhaps on the GC one of these days! Kungaloosh!!
Well done, Ken. At 58 and 47, we recently relocated from ATX and we loves us some DW Sunbridge! :-) Awesome location (20 mins to MCO, 45 mins to the parks, and just about 50 mins to Port Canaveral for our frequent cruises). Amazing quality of life, and such a great community of interesting and caring neighbors--couldn't be happier.
There is now a neighborhood (Middleton) in the middle of The Villages that is for families and has lots of kiddos. They have a beautiful school and their own downtown area under construction.
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
@christianalawal3695 That's actually quite impressive, I could use some Info on your FA, I am looking to make a change on my finances this year as well
Jeez, Ken, if we’d known you were coming to Oasis we would have come said hi! On the other hand, the place is a mess and we wouldn’t have let you film. :) We started talking about moving here in 2014 and got serious about it in 2021. We actually visited Sunbridge first, but it felt too big and spread out and too far from where we wanted to be. We visited Oasis, and really liked the vibe. Can’t really define it, but it just felt right. We signed the contract in December 2022 and moved in last October, and really enjoy the place! (Say hi to Jen Irvine for us-she was such a big help every step of the way!) Oddly enough, we haven’t been to the parks all that much, but it turns out we get a great view of all the SpaceX launches, so thumbs up!
Yes, I came to the comments to see if someone had corrected this. It’s 57 sq miles, not 57 acres, lol. Imagine 140K+ retirees crammed into 57 acres. 😂 Also, kids under 19 can’t live here, not 18. 👍🏻
Can you go over this same concept but for those who can afford $100,000 or less. Like the good mobile home parks? Or if you already have a recent video of that send the link? Please and thank you 😊
That's not really Ken's market. Definitely other options on RUclips to check that out. Hard to find $100K or less these days - just too low for most areas of FL. Be careful with Lot Rents. They can go up faster than inflation. But there are a number of great mobile home parks in central and eastern FL that operate as co-ops or are otherwise structured where you can own the land underneath (still usually owe a smaller HOA fee to cover shared amenities.)
Not our 3 kids! They all live in California and would never move to FL for many reasons, with humidity and politics being at the top of the list. They’ll visit us (in The Villages) and go to Disney, but never ever live here.
One mega error in the video. The Villages is the largest, single-site, residential real estate development in the United States, spanning over 35,000 acres in three adjoining counties in Central Florida. (the video says 57 acres)
@@jeanettestalmack2183Saying one thing and meaning another doesn’t help anyone watching the video, especially when the error is this huge. He really should correct it. 🤷🏼♀️
@@kenpozek According to wikipedia, the Villages is 34 square miles. I think this video might have been rushed as there are several inaccuracies with the information that was presented.
@rangerthedog8981 according to the villages own website “Currently under development and/or complete combining both of these areas there’s approximately 57 square miles.” I mistakenly said acres. I meant square miles, but the 57 is correct
We moved from Texas to Florida a year ago! It has been a great experience. You cannot beat an hour drive to the beaches or 30 minutes to Disney!

God Bless the gentlemen who made his way to Orlando from SF area. Put the work in and made it happen!! Enjoying his new chapter!
Huge move for sure! Seemingly very worth it though!

Golf at the 50+ executive courses IS included in the monthly amenity fee in The Villages. Only the Championship courses are an extra cost.
Happy to see you came to Khovnanian FOUR SEASONS ORLANDO
Tell us about the loofas!! Should I opt for the purple or blue?
I'd like to see more content about villages. They often get a bad rap, but until recently, didn’t realize how nice the shopping and restaurants are.
Great video! Thank you very much.
Awesome video Ken !
Beautiful video. Well Done!
Have lived in Orlando area for 28 yrs. Love it here, we are in Lake Mary/Sanford area. Great area
Loving the videos. We’re in the UK - would you ever do a video on moving to Orlando from abroad (preferably UK 😊)?

Awesome video idea!! This is great stuff
Thank you, sir 🙏🏼
The Villages is way bigger than 57 acres. Closer to 57 square miles and growing.
57 square MILES with the new land expansion. Definitely a verbal misstep. Thanks for the comment pointing it out 🙏🏼
Love your videos. Thank you for doing them.@@kenpozek
Starting to look for a second home.. where to start..so many choices…
close to the parks and airports is our priority, but with 10k lot or larger. hard to find
Great information! Can you tell me if it’s possible to rent in one of these communities, I’m not sure if living there is for me or not?
Yes,over 55 and a year's lease, no short term rentals
Nice top Ken, what brand is that and where did you get it?
What about Snowbirds? There must be a pretty large stat of Canadians retiring in Florida...
Ken over here making it cool to get old…
You mentioned the Villages is equidistant from Ocala and WDW but Ocala is ~20 miles away and WDW is ~60 miles away.
Ken, if I heard you correct you said The Villages was 57 acres however it is over 20,000 acres.
He meant 57 square miles
That is probably close to correct and; I sure do enjoy his videos. @@jeanettestalmack2183

Very limited audience with these houses. I'm looking to downsize during retirement, and that's not a 600,000 house
I know this is out of context . who's the clothing brand on your red top ? thanks in advance
The thumbnail is to good!!!
Dude!!! The thumbnail 😂😂😂
Hahahaha! Had to elevate my game for this one
As childcare costs rise, we can expect many young adults to flock to Florida to be closer to their parents / grandparents.
I could see that happening absolutely
Florida is expensive now though. The grandparents are leaving because of insurance and taxes.

57 acres seems low
It’s 57 square miles including all the new land. Mis-statement on my part
