Love how Stone used that little underhanded trick. Unfortunately, jury can't necessarily disregard that statement as it was apart of the records at that point
You're right, which is why in the real world that'd be grounds for a mistrial. Prosecutors can't just do stuff like that that can't be reversed/disregarded in order to get a conviction.
@@obliviouz grounds yes, would it happen no... This happens all the time... On both sides... And yes they do...
I’m a lawyer. Stone should have been charged with contempt and a mistrial declared. These ARE fictional stories!
Might not have gotten a mistrial, but it certainly left open room for appeals. But, by that point it would be out of Stone's hands and in another DA's to prevent any conflict of interest.
This was based on The Preppie Murder that rocked New York in 1986 it made it all the way to California that's how sensational it was before the internet.
"Justice doesn't give you grandchildren" 😢
What’s the point if all the early seasons are unavailable on Peacock? At least when Netflix runs a show, every season is available
Satisfying as that was, I'm not sure it would be allowable in the real world.
That judge has balls!!!!!!
I love this show
Nice 👍
Adam Storke was the defendant here--and he played Larry Underwood in the 1994 version of the Stand. Interestingly, the Jennifer Chambers murder (and the fallout from it), which inspired this episode of Law and Order, also inspired the creation of Law and Order: SVU...
Sorry but the actors name is Thomas Calabro. Starred in the original Melrose Place
@@helenmccarthy2135 Sorry, got them mixed up--they do look somewhat alike, though...
I Love Law & Order Only The Original Episodes
They are in a class by themselves for sure! 👏👏👏
I love the others too
I just saw the first episode of season 21.
The revival. And that will be the last episode I watch of it. They picked up at the end of the last batch. Inter they made it a cartoon instead of a drama.
They should’ve come back to the original formula. To bad.

justice doesn't gave grandchildren - mr stone
i remember this when you see what the suspect did you will not be a stubborn and cooperate
We find the defendant guilty.
Thomas Calabro ( who plays Ned Lomis) play in Melrose Place as Dr Michael Mancini
He was being Michael Mancini before he was Michael Mancini.
Next Judge Larkin has to deal with the case of Mr. Locarno in the death of Joshua Albert.
In a Starfleet uniform as well
If I inscribe myself and pay, I can see all the series. Perfect... It's not fair, because on the TV is free but OK. I can do that. But... Can I choose my language?
Ok... so...
Clearly getting a scar At All wasn't gruesome enough, so they had to go all in to make it Shock the viewer.
So then why not Cut the scene to just before she shows the original scar, reaction shot, then new scar??
Exactly
Why shouldn’t they show it? It’s a scar it’s not fresh
@@ellyh2247
Because she had Two different scars (one was brushed up to look more striking, but it was clearly an afterthought, because you can see the less striking version before the close up
@@juliantapia1407 ohhhh
Woo
So why didn't the woman just testify herself?
I don't know the exact legal reason, but she was not allowed to testify. Hence why the judge was angry at Stone. She knew exactly what he was doing.
Basically, because she had no information about the instant (current) case and could only speak to the defendant's prior actions. She could only speak to something happened to her, many years before, separate from the current case. The court does not allow prior actions of a defendant to be admissible in most cases.
ah yes... another entry to the famous 'changing scar' issue a lot of tv shows have...
That guy needs to shave his beard off.
Having seen him sans the beard in other shows.........no he really needs to keep that lol
@@meodreadgaming4084 wrong beards are nasty, disgusting, and unprofessional.
