I see some info saying that I should not try this because the unit must be programmed by professional after? True?
If you replace the whole rack and pinion, yes. For just the belt, no.
I replaced the belt and I'm still getting rubbing on the belt turning on the advancetrac what do I do
Can this cause your tires to jump and no steering control when you hit a bump at around 60-70MPH? Or would that be the whole rack and pinion?
I need new bearings on my 2011 4wd XLT. Can I buy bearings alone?
The bearings are not available separately at this time.
So if this belt somehow snapped... no more steering control right!!!
How long should those safely last before I need to replace it with new belt? 100k miles 150k miles?
You still will have steering control. Just no power assist. I really can't say how long they'll last. Some have gone 50K, some 150K.
@@powersteeringseals4085I’m at 305 thousand miles on a 2013 F 150 and still going strong
Will a bad belt cause my front end to jump around also?
'Jump around' can mean many things. If the belt is missing teeth, you may have moments of no power assist.
Where can I order this
This is the reason for the message code “power steering malfunction”?
If you clear all your error codes with a good scan tool, restart you truck and there is no power assist and the warning comes back as soon as you try, then it most likely is.
not sure how they can go on both directions?
If it’s angled and you flip it around its the same direction
