Love the way she calmly encourages as she instructs
“I wouldn’t hang around them anyway.” I love that quote AND the tutorial! Awesome!
Wow! These are so original! Definitely going to try painting these.
Love it!! Definitely my weekend art project and already thinking about making it a fun girls night activity.
Thank you for sharing. I really love that glass.
Thanks a bunch for this! Used it to make my brother an awesome cup for Christmas. 😄
That is really cool work you have there. I am an artist myself and experimenting with glassware. I find that If I am doing an illustration of something on glass such as a logo or a scene I usually tape off the bottom and top of the glass just to isolate the image at the center of the glass so that when someone goes to pour a drink their lips wont touch the paint. another way to make a cool star effect is to load a brush with white paint and take a tooth pick and rub over the brush back and forth to create a spattering effect. By doing that you can create cool star effects that look realistic. Anyway great work and happy painting!
I'm teaching a wine glass painting session and I love this idea. Might pre paint the layers of black and explain how I did it and go from their. Thanks a bunch.
Thank you for this tutorial. I just finished painting some giant glass goblets and they came out super intergalactic. Love it. Gonna use them as makeup holders.
Awesome! That's a great idea!
loved it I really liked the already painted glass because it had less white but they both were great thank you for the video
Thanks for watching!
GREAT PIECE. WHAT BRUSH YOU USE
Si work with a teacher that just loves the Galaxy, I will be making her a pair for Christmas, thanks for sharing
Perfect! Thanks for watching!
Was wondering if you could get the same or close to out come with faux staining
Beautiful!
Thank you! :)
Love the idea but I'm going to use a sponge brush to do mine and use them as decorations. Even put lights and fake candles in them to show off the galaxy more! Of course add some bling lol Thanks soooo much for this OneStrangeKiwi! We love the galaxy look! My daughter wants her room decorated in galaxy.
Awesome! How did it work out? That's so exciting! And I've never tried to paint galaxy on walls! Soooo cool! :)
Do put wine glasses top down on cookie sheet? Do you put parchment paper down on cookie sheet?
What kind of colors do you use? Is it acrylic colors?
I really loved the creativity but i have a question if i add some fairylight will the glass have a glow or still be dull because its an enamel paint?
I loved this video and I'm excited to try it. I have two questions; 1: You don't put a finish on your glass, like polycrylic or mod podge, why? and, 2: Are these dishwasher safe or hand washed after painting?
This was a GREAT Video! Thank you for sharing. I am NOT a painter, but you make it look like I could actually do this. One Question - is it okay to go that close to the rim? I'm guessing because it's heat set and its enamel for glass it is okay.
I always get pretty close to the rim, and I've never had a problem. But if you're unsure, I'd keep a bit more distance from the rim. And, if you're having a hard time making a straight line (you can't exactly use a ruler here!), you can always make a wavy line across the top, so it waves across the top with the galaxy look.
Great!! 👍🏽
Thank you!
How do you get the glasses shiny mine look Matt and I used gloss enamel
What tool are you using to apply the stars?
Is this just enamel paint or special enamel paint for glass
Ok my kitchen is black and grey how can i paint my glass this color. I also want to know where you buy your paint at and what is the name brand. Thank you.
I would just incorporate some grey into the galaxy... between the color (purple or blue), and the black. Maybe add grey stars with the white stars. I use Folk Art enamels, and I get them from Michaels, but I've recently seen them at Wal-Mart. You'll know you have the right ones when there's a sticker of a picture of a wine glass on the top of the paint bottle lid! :)
Love the Galaxy design and colors, but I see you have painted right up to the rim of the glass, and most videos say you must do that, that the paint must not come into contact with your mouth , so I am not sure now as to what is ok.
I guess it would depend on the individual and how they sip their wine. :) To make sure, you can come down further on the glass. And you can always make the painted edge wavy so it adds to the galaxy look.
i dont like it
