Video is awesome man. I have a 4th Capra with a winch on a front bumper and I wanna run dig. Got the reefs coming along with a dxc 5 pro to operate all my goodies perfectly
Very nice!! That setup is going to be fantastic for you-I'm excited to hear how it all comes together! But I've always thought that two winches on a Capra would be rad-you may have just inspired me to do something similar... Cheers! 🤘🏼🤙🏼🍻🍻
Hi, I’ve just watched your video on dig setup on the Capra. One question, removing the capacitor to free another channel, will this cause any damage now or in the future? Great vids by the way 👍
Much appreciated!! And that's correct-neutral dig is essentially just the space between DIG being locked in and out, giving the rear wheels the ability to free-spin. 🤘🏼
Good video Bro. I used the Savox SH-0255MG servo from amazon. Better price than the Reefs and a lot better quality than the POS Spektrum servo Axial recommends. The Dig engages/disengages perfectly without the need to reverse the truck. Subbed✌
Total nubie here. Based on reviews, I have a Capra on the way. While my skills may not warrant it, would like to have all options functioning. Your video made it seem simple. Thanks. Your efforts earned a sub
U said to just take out the capacitor for the dig servo, but didn’t say anything about it needing to be plugged back into another channel, or if it can just be ditched entirely. Which one is it/did u do?
Did you install that with the factory controller? I bought a Flysky and had to order a ESC to pair with it. What is that capacitor for that is factory installed?
I actually swapped over to the Spektrum Rugged and have since swapped over to the flysky GT5 for easier control of the rear wheels! And not sure on the capacitor-it was from the factory but I have no clue what it was doing; maybe storing a little extra punch for the steering servos if they demand more power in a bind?
Oh nice! What brushless system are you thinking about going with? The new Hobbywing fusion prices are enticing 🧐 but I use both Flysky and Spekrum and love them both, but I'd go Flysky GT5 for the value and easy ability to run rear steer on a potentiometer.
@@highnoonhobby thank you so much, my apologies, new to the hobby, this video was full of great information, you are great at making content! I made sure to subscribe, you really know your rc cars!
As far as I can tell, you'll have to get a different ESC and an RX that works with your FlySky. Someone could come along and correct me, but that's what I could figure with a bit of research online and around the hobby shop.
Thanks for this video, this helps a lot. Have a good one.
Glad it helped!! Much appreciated! 🤘🏼

Hi there, great question! Removing that capacitor will not cause any issues, now or in the future. Much appreciated, thank you!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Great video! So, the “neutral” dig mode allows the rear wheels to spin freely and essentially making the Capra front wheel drive only?
Much appreciated!! And that's correct-neutral dig is essentially just the space between DIG being locked in and out, giving the rear wheels the ability to free-spin. 🤘🏼

Awesome recommendation, thanks for sharing. I appreciate the sub as well! 🍻

Morning bud, widebottomrc checkin in!!!
Howdy pard'! Thanks for hitting up the video!

I have a question if you know, will the dig unit work/mount on another axial transmission?
It will only work on this transmission from Axial!
YOUR RUclips CHANNEL IS SUBSCRIBED.
What was this servo horn. I'm in canada and so far my only options are the reefs micro horns
This was actually just a random servo horn from the hobby shop, but I'll see if I can find a link!
I’m planning on installing a brushless system when I install my dig servo what transmitter would you recommend

@@highnoonhobby I was thinking of going with spectrum firma 2in1 crawler combo but don’t completely know yet
@@sweatbigcon9729 idk if you got the 2 in 1 but I put the 1400 2 in 1 and it’s a beast for my crawler and no Esc space needed
If the truck can run without the capacitor what’s it there for
Great question! I have no clue 😂
Where did you get the custom body panels or did you make them yourself?
These are actually just the stock body panels with a gold vinyl wrap on top!
Do you have to remove the spacer in the transmission for dig to function or is it just to get that spacer for the eyelet
You do have to remove that spacer from inside the trans to enable dig functionality. Great question, thank you!

So if using a Flysky controller do you have to replace the esc? Or just bind it to it?

If you buy a Flysky it comes with a 6ch receiver but you'll need a new ESC. I used the Hobbywing 1080 and it works great.
