- We are reviewing the 2014 VW Scirocco 2.0 TDI 175bhp model to see what is best for performance. Eather the TDI Tuning Box or the Rolling Road Remap..

What exhaust system is being used? I’m going to get a dpf delete on mine to create more noise and power but that sounds sweet
What about tuning box on to remapped diesel engine (box + remap together) ?
I got one for my Astra but ended up taking it off because the car started cutting out(not good on the motorway), it did drive better an was quicker. I sent it back to them, it got returned but they never said if the did anything, but it still caused problems, took it off as we needed the car for a holiday and the things sat in the house since. I should have been more proactive with dealing with it tbh as I waited to long. Plugged a diagnostic tool in an it came up with 13 codes..... Needles to say anyone asks me I tell them to stay clear an get a remap instead. Funnily enough another tuner channel did tests on various boxes an basically confirmed the same, wont mention the name but you can find it easy enough.
It’s so obvious this video was specifically designed for bad publicity for the TDI tuning ! From all the videos I’ve seen on the box everyone was really happy and surprised from the results, even if the box doesn’t give the extra 50 hp they claim .. but only 25 to 30 hp it’s still worth the 400 $ , remaps are way more expensive !! Here in Canada for an extra 30 hp remap companies charge $1400 , and it ruins the warranty.
wow $1400 for the remap. ive noticed i watch alot of vlogs from different countries and the prices are 3x as much as the uk
In Ireland a rolling road remap costs £250 and the difference is night and day
The tdi tuning box gave me an extra 13 Hp for 400quid rip
Really good video. i have VW CC 175 bhp 380 nm . and bought a TDI tuning way back in 2016 took it to the local dyno and it only gave me 191bhp and 420 nm. they claimed on website that i should get 240bhp and 500nm.... got a full refund and got a proper remap on a dyno.
What numbers did you get after proper remap? Who did it for you? I'm in Lithuania, so I might give it a try
What and where did you go to get the power you wanted and what power did you end up with are they even worth spending the money on these or should I just sell my gtd and buy a GTI

@@anthonyshackleton6178 gti is very petrol thirsty i had 1.2 micra petrol and it used 7 l i cant imagine 2.0 petrol with turbo :D

Wheyy, this was a waste of time.
TDI tuning tell you up front that it improves over time, doesn’t even say how long he ran it on the car.

@@user-fs8lz9re2q i was wrong about it being over time, it's instant. Dont regret buying mine at all.
Would have been more objective and credible if you'd carried out you're rolling road test at a completely independent rolling road facility, as opposed to using that of the competitor to TDi-Tuning....
The outcome as such was predictable and non credible.
If I'm honest the video came across a bit as a hatchet job on TDi-Tuning's box and your result is completely inconsistent with all others I've seen and read about.

The rolling road centre it was dyno'd at was a petrol and diesel remap centre.. the tuning box was not going to get run the car was just going in for the dpf and egr delete and a dsg and ecu remap but brin at west yorkshire tuning said he would like to run the box just to see what power it actually made as he ain't tryed one before.. thank you
