I am currently doing this course. It has been a fantastic/seamless process so far. I’m 2 months in and the mentor/tutor support is amazing. I would recommend this course to anybody looking to get into a Data Analytics fast track career course. Will keep this community up to date when I finish and get a my first job !!!! - Billy Fowler II
I'll definitely look further into this program. I'm glad the job gurantee specifies a job related to data analytics, a lot of bootcamps just gurantee for any job whether coding related or not so that alone gives this one a step up
I’ve been looking to make the switch from pursing a career/grad school in Physical Therapy but have always been hesitant to sign up for a boot camp. This one is definitely one of the best I’ve seen thus far and I’ll look more into it. Seems like a solid price for what you’re getting too.
Happy to see this after seeing your other thoughts on bootcamps... I'm partway through acheivement 3 in the data immersion course with CareerFoundry. So far so good!
Hi Alex. I just want to say THANK YOU and to tell you how much I appreciate your content. Your tutorials, portfolio series and interview tips have helped me so much to finally land my dream job as a Business Intelligence Analyst. Thank you!
I don't know what to say about the job guarantee... It says on their site that if you are offered work that is at least 15 hours a week, that it qualifies as a job offer. Essentially part time with little hours. I feel like people that take those kind of offers just won't be valued as much by their companies. Also, since it's 15 hours does that also include freelance and contractor work. Data analytics is such a broad term that I wonder if the guarantee actually covers real data analysis positions.
I read that, but you are the one applying for jobs. I would only be applying for jobs that are full time or full time contractor. That's my thoughts at least. Can always ask them on their website?
@@AlexTheAnalyst I'll definitely ask. I know the student chooses to apply to the jobs they want, I just find it odd that they included "15 hours a week jobs." I don't think any student would have that in mind after a bootcamp. I have to find out if it's not some technicality that could end up being an issue... I dunno, it's possible that they require one to apply to part time or contract work.
Some bootcamps will find you a job upon completion, but the catch is, they’ll underpay you while collecting full price from the employer for some period of time.
Hey Alex, I’m a recent grad at the University of Michigan. I’m equipped with a bachelors in economics and minor in entrepreneurship, as well as elementary programming concepts covered in some of my first-year courses and more advanced statistics and econometrics courses. I want to land a job in data analytics but have found myself scrolling thru jobs that require a couple of years of industry experience, which has brought my career to a halt. Any advice?
Are there any good places to buy *just* the mentorship? I feel like I can learn most of the technical skills on my own, but I really need to find a mentor. I would rather be able to just pay to consult with a mentor a few times per month.
Hi Alex, I watched this and it really helped, but then I found Springboard data analytics bootcamp and it is pretty comparable to CF, except it also includes Power BI though seems less focused on Python. It's more expensive and is shorter. Do you have any thoughts about specifically these two bootcamps?
Thank you for the review. I'm doing the free course right now and searched for reviews to make sure I wasn't getting into something that was useless. The only other time I had looked into a bootcamp I was disheartened at the price. I am thankful the introductory course is available foran easy price because it will take more than the free part for me to decide to shell out several thousand dollars for this. I am dipping my toe into finding another career and data analytics keeps coming up. Unfortunately, based on a brief search locally, I don't think I will be able to replace my current income but I figure pursuing the skills will still be fruitful. I was wondering how much prior knowledge of SQL, python, or other languages might I need?
So I’m about 75% done with the Google Data Analytics Certificate. Does CF go much deeper into the skills where it would be worth it to enroll after the certificate course or is there too much crossover?
Hard to say. There will definitely be overlap in the things you learn, although I think CF goes deeper in most aspects. The biggest selling point is the mentorship and job guarantee that Google Cert doesn’t have.
Hi Collen, i am also at the same point in my career as you were 9 months ago, i would love to hear any updates from your side. Did you join careerfoundry and how did your job search go. It would be really helpful if i can get a reply.

Yeah bootcamps can be expensive - that's the number one reason I never did one. I get so many people asking about them though which is why I thought this video would be interesting. The self-study route through the Google Cert is still really good!
The stipulations of the money back guarantee are a bit sketchy IMHO. They can find you a job paying $40k, extremely underpaid, and if you decline - boom there goes your money back perk
Well that's true... but they aren't applying for jobs for you I don't think. They help you get everything together to apply for jobs, but you choose where you apply. 40k for an entry level job is decent to get your foot in the door - unless you're in the Bay Area or New York lol

Meh, I'm just not convinced. It just seems like an expensive super-google data analytics course. I don't see how well this course will prepare anyone for building portfolio projects and that type of experience is what we need to show potential employers since many of us will not have experience or background as a data analyst. This just feels like a "teach yourself" bootcamp service. Everything I have seen can be learned online for free in under a year as well if one were so inclined.
You're definitely right which is why I don't recommend bootcamps for most. This is mostly for people who do want a bootcamp for a good price. You really just get the mentors and job help on top of it and job guarantee which people like.

Outside of the mentorship and the tutor aspect of the course. How does this course stack up against the Google's DA course though Coursera?
It's more in-depth. It dives deeper into the technical areas. Google's course is more beginner focused.
