Save up. I paid about $140 ish for my vita SD card and the SD cart mod. I have over 60 vita games 40 psp games and like 4 ps1 games. You can overclock the vita and get another app that lets you cap fps and set video rez to make games run/look better. It's crazy what you can do on this thing for how old it is. I'm even using emudeck for windows pc with an app called moonlight that lets me stream from my pc to vita so I can play ps3, 360, gamecube, and everything els emudeck can do all on the vita.

God of war two is a great game and really set up god of war 3
Yeah, there are a lotta cool collections of games they made for it. I can actually try out MG now on a decent screen, unlike the 3DS version.
Love the psp gow, havent have time to play the gow collection on vita yet

So the fought "The Colossus of Rhodes" for the 1st Time on that little PS Vita screen?? That's just a Darn Shame to experience that 1st Boss Fight on 5 inches of screen. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful to the PS Vita, but games like GOW2 should be played on a bigger screen for the 1st Time.

Is the vita worth upgrading to from a modded psp 1000?
Yes indeed.
Firstly, with a modded vita, you can play all your psp roms on it. Then there is the huge library of games. Then there's something called PKGJ which allows you to download any vita game straight to the console without plugging it in each time.
I upgraded from the psp 3000 to the vita and never regretted it
And believe it or not, what I mentioned just barely scratches the surface

I think he means the HD collections, like Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, etc. not to mention Persona 4
