I told Cathy a few months ago they summoned their innermost Paul/Grace on this one. I think I've played this song 100 times since I first heard the studio version some 5 months ago on our public broadcast radio station.WVIA (Pennsylvania). It wasn't til I realized there was a video for this much later that I realized Donny & Cathy wrote this song. Way to go guys. Best Jefferson Anything has done since.......well....This is my earworm song for the last 5 months. There's live version's available too watch also.
This is a catchy song! Very worthy of the Jefferson Starship tradition in my opinion. I'm a longtime fan of the band and I don't have a hangup with evolution and change. You guys sound great!
Music to my ears, a peaceful song, I can so enjoy this over that shit of today.
You all rock, thank you.
I've become attached to Grace but I gave the new JS a chance and I'm glad I did. This is beautiful! 🥰
Keep your hands off of her, she is mine.
That sound!!! Cathy's voice is phenomenal and the band is awesome!!
Wow what a wonderful music wonderful band, thank you very much for the work of art that brings us and will remain for many years to come. Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
Nice song 🙂
Strong song, love it.
Ace song, ace lineup. Loving David's lifelong musical journey. Great great vocals.
Pretty good. I just hope you guys and Mickey Thomas will be back together as one someday. A perfect family reunion, plus being inducted to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame together!
Not if Donny has anything to say about it (lol).
love love LOVE THIS ...
Brilliant song
Didn't know they were still kicking it in 2021 lol, was just sitting here thinking with their songs in my head, so here I am listening on RUclips............. oh the memories their Musick brings.........
Loving this!! Great tune!
I Saw Jefferson Starship a couple years back in Meridian Mississippi. Great show!!! I love the new album! Anxious for you to get back on the road. Can't wait to see you live again.
Great tribute to Paul Kantner. JS still flying
So good to hear this sound. Time travel to be sure.
Yay!! I've been waiting for this song to come out! I fell in love with the song when I saw them perform it a few years ago at the OC Fair.
The return of great music thank you for all you do! What a great voice! Sexy classy beautiful.
This song is good
Cool thanks for sharing rock on J. S. Have a good one 😜🤘☮️❤️🍀🤟🦋
Incredibly well crafted, this song! Consistent with the best you would expect from JS! Many thanks, guys!
Wow, so, so timely.
Beyond Amazing!
Grupazo........ bravo ...! Starship .!!
Awesome ...... Hope you make it to Denver some day !!!!!
Sounding good!
JUSTICE!
Phenomenal. I had heard about this coming out, but decided today to check it out. I should have done it a long time ago. I caught the Covid upload of SOMEBODY TO LOVE and that was killer too. Keep up the great work!!! Glad to see Freiberg jamming and in good health. Cheers.....MC Malthus. As Kantner would say - Carry The Fire.
Well now.... Good song. Good message.
This who Album is killer
Nice song -can you add the lyrics to the description, so we can sing along?
WONDERFUL! I’M WAITING FOR MY GUESTS OF HONOR! JESUS CHRIST AND LUCIFER!
paul kanter from the great beyond
Good song guys. Catchy and carrying a political message for the days, which is what Jefferson Starship (and Jefferson Airplane before it) always seemed to try and do. The voices change, the styles evolve, but the overall feeling is still there. Arigato!
🌠🌌🌋
🤘⚡️🤘⚡️🤘⚡️
Good song but it's not the Jefferson Starship I know and love. No one can replace Craig and Mickey. I know it will never happen but t would be great to see the mid 80's lineup.
Mickey was fired from the band in 1984. In the 46 year history of the band, Mickey Thomas was in it less than four years.
B D S THIS MESS
@ age four I often wonder what are they waiting 4
Like it , who is she
Cathy Richardson, long time lead singer
Cathy Richardson too over years ago after a brief reunion tour with Signe Anderson (Airplane singer from 1965-Oct. of 1967, before Grace Slick). Signe died the same day as Paul Kantner, so I guess we'll have to excuse them from this year's reunion. Micky's Starship band has a singer named Stephanie Calvert. Met her a few years back. Wonderful lady with a powerful voice like Signe, but also has a style of her own.
@@stevebenaszeski9153 Thanks for update on Signe Anderson RIP
Are there any original members?
David Freiberg (founding member of Jefferson Starship) and Donny Baldwin; also, Pete Sears has been playing bass with them and Grace Slick has had a hand in songwriting.
@@simonbone David Freeburg was also a founding member of Quicksilver Messenger Service. Another great group from that era. And sorely missed.
Great new EP! I interviewed Cathy re: this and the entire legacy, including Paul and Grace-- lots of music and video, and thanks to Cathy for being so amazing!

Джефферсон Аирплейн...вся жизнь с ними....
Grew up with the Airplane. Will always be one of my favorite bands. That being said I do prefer the original lineup.
JIm, You are certainly allowed to prefer them- They were great. We are lucky to have these talented musicians to carry on PK's tradition and the legacy of both the Airplane and Jefferson Starship
@@jeffhagen2277 I agree . Though when I think of the Airplane I see the original lineup. Probably because I was able to meet them when they played the Electric Factory in Phila. back in the 60's. From what I gather Grace Slick wrote one of the songs on their new album. Times change and I guess we have too. But we still have our memories.
@@jimconaty6218 I think you mean, the classic line-up with Grace Spencer and Jack intact. Not Signe, Bob Harvey & Skippy, correct? Myself, other than the 1989 tour, was too young and the JS was my band, all along (From Dragonfly to now). I am lucky enough to have counted Paul as a personal friend and to know Marty, Slick, Prairie Prince fairly well. These folks all played in PKs 2000 era Jefferson Starship. They are fantastic people and great musicians. The classic Airplane JS still exits in these videos, on vinyl, cds etc and in our hearts This version will tour and make the music live again for us
@@jeffhagen2277 your right, I met them after grace slick joined the group. My memory ain't the best anymore. The 60's and 70s are catching up with me. Probably to much acid and pot. Unfortunately I don't listen to music much nowadays. Thanks for reminding me of the "original lineup ".
@@jeffhagen2277 The Electric Factory was a small venue in phila. Saw a lot of local bands there plus a lot of well known groups.
Food for thought: the sound is good but a very far cry from Starship because every member is different except for maybe one. The legacy of the real Starship now has evolved into a whole different set of members, even though Richardson came on board after the decline when Kantner was still with us. So is it fair play to use the same name? I don't see Kantner, Balin, Cassidy, Slick, Chaquico, Thomas, or later members like Aguilar, or even Diana Mangano. Only ex Quicksilver Freiberg holding a torch for semi original member. Its like Mel and Don calling themselves GFR without Farner. I am good with evolution and change. I just think a bands name should be treated more delicately, my opinion being highly subjective.
We know dude. . The band was given it's blessing from Paul ,whom I met & talked to several times over the years...incredible soul, & Grace ( whom co-wrote song off new E.P. Enjoy this incredible song etc. for what it is & move on. "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR"...If your waiting for another "WE BUILT THIS CITY" which Paul & Grace loathed. .....go hold your breath.
Nope, sorry...
