I totally understand how negative and thoughtless comments are so hurtful to you both but I would urge you to focus on the overwhelming number of positive and appreciative messages from those of us who know how hard you work to include us in your wonderful travels. Thank you.
Loved this one Bob, Burrs is our local site and it was nice to see the local area from someone else’s perspective, I was born and brought up in Ramsbottom and then worked in Bury until my recent retirement. We haven’t stayed at Burrs as it always felt very close to home but I think that may change now and we will give it a go. It was nice to get the chance to thank you and Jenny in person when we saw you at Southport last Sunday as we filled up with water on our arrival. We really appreciate all the work you both put into your videos and we always find ourselves watching your “arriving at” when we are going to a new to us site, finding them really helpful. Your guides to what you consider to be essential and nice to have was very useful when we were kitting out our Motorhome and everything we purchased has been great. Lovely to see Poppy and Tara too who always look to be having the very best time.
Hi Bob, Jenny and the girls, just watching the train reminded me of when i was a young boy in the early 60s, standing on the railway bridge being engulfed by steam and smoke, happy days and i could actually recall the smell.
Really loved this, a must for when we get our motorhome! It never ceases to amaze me how much we have nearly on our doorstep . Loved the train journey ! Brilliant! Thanks Bob and Jenny , Poppy and Tara xx
Thank you very much for your wonderful video, that’s another thing that I would love to do, poppy is certainly a proper watchdog, thanks again Jenny and Bob,👍🐾🐶.
Hi, bob, jenny, poppy & Tara. You bring me such joy watching your trips around the country. I loved this one of the steam 🚂 & the campsite. Take care, lots of love Linda xx
Great video guys. Doing what you do best. Will be visiting that site one day on strength of your video, thanks. Jenny looks great either hat on or hat off !! Take care both and thanks again. Regards Vanessa & Colin Wells
What an amazing site Bob and Jenny many thanks for sharing. Looks absouletly perfect for me with steam trains right on the doorstep. Enjoy your time there. ❤👍
Haha do you want a dog wash Poppy erm no thanks :) made me chuckle. I may have said before my Grandads brother drove the flying scotsman but mostly The Mallard a very long time ago.
A timely video - we’re off there tomorrow, service pitch too! 😉 All day roving pass for the trains on Sunday so looking forward to that! Thanks for the informative videos.
Brilliant vlog ....my favourite site ..spent Christmas there and also the steam gala in Feb .One thing you did miss out Bob n Jenny on whats near ..Bury market and the black puddings...without doubt the service pitches are ideal for watching the trains
You were very close to the park in Ashton in Makerfield ( Three Sisters) going the way on your video you needed to look for left hand turn after the bus depot and its it the bottom of that road.
Thank you both excellent video as always. Lovely views of the steam trains. Just booked in at Burrs Park. Glad to be back in your own van I would imagine 😊 Best wishes 🇮🇲🇮🇲
Lovely! One of our favourite sites ("home" or as near as). The train never gets old :-) . I have to share that one of us once spotted the extra space between the W and the N on the pub signage and forever shall we call it the "Brow 'N Cow". Probably just us 🤣
Yes we spotted the spacing is wrong someone didn't get the Kerning right😉"process of adjusting that space to avoid awkward-looking gaps between your letters and improve legibility" We love the Burrs to ☺️👍
Your video certainly got my attention as the blue loco in the thumbnail is one which I look after at the ELR. D832 ‘Onslaught’ which is a warship class 42 but the gang just refer to her as ‘Beefy’! Glad you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you soon!
Omg I hate that roundabout! Especially when there’s cyclists on it 😬 I found this vlog so relaxing to watch, just what I needed tbh 👍 Thanks both👌 Em 😘
Hi bob and jenny, just watched your latest vlog from burrs, and I never realised you were a Bury lad !! Both me and my hubby are born and bred in Bury, you literally drove past my house on your way to burrs ( you could off stopped of and had your lunch here 😄)love the East lancs railway,I grew up not far from the Summerseat station Looking forward to seeing where you end up on your travels this year Joanne Xx
Thank you, love train trips. Also love watching Poppy take it all in, bless her. Are you happy to be back in your own van, or will you miss the Adamo ? Take care.
Hi Bob,Jenny and Pups, it’s a really lovely campsite. Must be nice to watch the trains go by,Loved the train journey, we are going to the Black Bull campsite at Pickering soon and going on the steam train into Whitby. Do love a train journey. Great video Bob as always with very interesting content, thinking of booking into the campsite and the train journey, how long did it take to walk to the station from your van Bob? x
I volunteer on the West Somerset Railway at Minehead and strangely enough, one of my colleagues who works there , lives in Bury and volunteers on the East Lancs railway as well.
Hi Bob & Jenny - I find your videos so informative and entertaining - many thanks for taking the time to do them. Just a quick question, you mentioned you used Vantrue dashcam - is this something you would recommend - as I am considering getting a sat nav with a dash cam in it? Plus, would you GoPro not act as a dashcam for evidence if ever needed? Many thanks Sally N.B. at our last campsite we saw two Starfire motorhomes :-)
I did a video on the Vantrue ruclips.net/video/BpGcXTrWlic/видео.html I think a GoPro would be an expensive dashcam, and it's not really designed to be on all the time, would tend to overheat. Also GoPros tend to produce 8 minutes long files on 1080p, dashcam use a shorter 3 min format, more suitable for finding the footage you need. We use a remote control to switch the GoPro on and off, so I don't end up with huge amounts to edit. As for Sat Navs with built in dashcams, I've never tried one, but think that devices that do just one job well, should be better than devices doing multiple job like mobile phones with sat nav or sat navs with dashcams.
Hi guy's...another great vlog. What i would like to say though is, as nice as the site is...I think £36 a night is too expensive if all you are doing is parking up for a night and using a little electric. I guess it's a nice one off stay destination if you are interested in the steam train. We have done it ourselves and enjoyed it, but we couldn't justify making it a regular acurrence at those prices. We stayed at a sight last year in Northumberland that was £9 a night cheaper , and it had an outside heated swimming pool, bar & cafe.and entertainment....also next to the coast. Alot of folk buy motorhomes, buy all the equipment so they are self sufficient...so they only need a safe parking space and a little electric to charge their gear up....too many sites I think are taking advantage. What do you guy's think?
We think it is a great site and yes £36 a night is a bit steep for some. Don't forget last year VAT was 12.5%, now 20% so the Chancellor now takes £6 of that nightly fee now. As for a little bit of electricity, we were charging up all our equipment, cameras, phones and mics etc, using our own showers so other people could use the six showers in the crowed facility block as the site was full. Plus it means we don't hold others up at the Motorhome Service Point. So, perhaps, we were thinking of others, to quote a phrase.
When leaving Summerseat you said "what happened there" Just before 21.30 on 17 February 2021 a cracked gas main caused an explosion which destroyed that house sadly killed Hazel Wilcock 61 who lived there. Very sad .
That little hobby railway was founded as the East Lancs Railway back in 1987. Hopefully the life of some Welsh coal mines will be extended, until new supplies can be found and we can continue to enjoy our heritage.

Yes, I was born in Bury, lived there until I was 14.
Hi Bob and Jenny really love your videos especially the Scotland ones as I go every year ,when will you be going again? Debbie
On our way to Northern Ireland in September.
Great video, lovely couple and Jennys one liners are so funny 😁👍
Well dobe Bob, who doesn't like a bogoff deal? 👍😂 Perhaps they were in distress?
If you mean the East Lancs, the two for one is something the CMC agreed with East Lancs and it certainly seems to keep the trains busy!
Thank you, love train trips. Also love watching Poppy take it all in, bless her. Are you happy to be back in your own van, or will you miss the Adamo ? Take care.
Happy to be back in our own beds, but we did like a lot about the Adamo.
I do like going in the LampPost cafe . Don't bother with having a meal at the Garsdale as the food has gone downhill.
Oh, that's a shame.
Burrs is one site we keep meaning to visit, but something always gets in the way. ATB Mark & Coral
Yes, you should go.

Hi Bob, bit confused you don't sound Northern?😀
I was born in Bury, Lancashire. Moved down south when I was 14, only moved back up north in 2015. 40 odd years down south messed my accent up!
@@BobEarnshawMoHo 👍
Nice to be in your own van?
It was nice to be back in our single beds.
Your van sounds noisier this trip!
It's the Lancashire potholes and the cobbles I guess.
Did you hear the last colliery has closed so those little hobby railways are struggling to get the proper coal. What a shame.
