Thanks for watching!
I remember having a pair of jeans like Jenny's in the 70's i loved them, i think it's time for 70's fashion to return 😂
The Lamp post is a really nice DOG friendly cafe, it was nice catching up with you both.
Love the photos.
I'm here at the moment, staying for a couple of weeks. while exploring the north west and putting my feet up, its a great place.
Im a complete Newbie but Burrs was one of our first sites last year....really beautiful especially since we have an agricultural show in the field next door....plus of course, that fantastic old steam train. Brilliant! Keep your super videos coming.... they are brilliant Bob and Jenny....and you both have such a beautiful motorhome relationship too. Lovely.
Thank you, very good of you to say.
Good to. See the water pipes not frozen as they were in December. We took the metro into the Manchester Christmas markets was nice and easy.
And the cobbles were great for checking to see if anything was loose on our new van.
Had to call at the Trackside bar when we had a walk into Bury to buy our black pudding, as you say always an excellent selection of beers.
There is a good micro brewery in Ramsbottom with its own bar.
We went to Burrs Country Park this time last year. It’s was Max’s first motorhome trip and we were in Madge. We did use the little area to let him play off lead. The lamp post was lovely. Rob and Lynns video reminded me how lucky we are to live on the door step of Cannock Chase. Take care Gill
Love the throwback pics!
Thank you, Jenny's idea!
Looks nice and relaxing there. Another great video.
It was very quiet that time of year. 😊👍
Thanks Bob and Jenny. As always, interesting to see another campsite and the surrounding area. Loved the old photos. We just wondered if there’s a Blue plaque in Bury, to commemorate Bob’s birthplace?!! 🤩👏👍 If not, why not!
Lol, don't you have to be dead first?
Oh goodness, yes we think you may be right … 😬 so in your case they should make an exception! 👍
Great video as ever Bob and Jenny well that will probably the bumpiest entrance to any camp site! The cobbles would make any fillings come out 😂
It looks a great place to stay the pitches are really generous and lots of facilities on site and nearby but despite being close to town looks a relaxing place to stay I would love the pubs and steam railway! Hope Jenny and poppy had a nice time whilst you were at the show all the best Daniel
Yes, it's always been one of our favourite sites.
Great photos of you both 👍🏻
We are off to the Manchester show tomorrow. Think we have Burr's booked for Pepsi's 4th birthday at the begining of march for a few days.
Just returned from Lady Margaret Park cmc last week. Off to Clumber Park in a weeks time for Susie's 8th birthday. Looking forward to all the travels and the show!❤
Let us know what you think of the show.
Hi we were on pitch 16 over new year .The wardens are mending that bollard as a motorhome reversed into it lol
They had electricians in doing the lights in the laundry.
our local site Bob ..you mentioned the market lots of times ..but no mention of the famous black puddings .haha,We are down there on Monday to give the van a run out
I have visited the market many times and being a non meat eater even bought the vegetarian version before. 😁
We stayed at Burrs a couple of years ago in a rental motorhome and that cobbled road certainly stuck in my memory. It really rattles all the fillings out of your teeth doesn't it!
Slows you down a fair bit too!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi
Thank you for the comments on a previous piece video regarding caz.
I just realised after buying ours swift just missed euro 6!, bristol want a £100.....why do they call motor homes goods vehicles just because it is over 3.500 kg....it may sound a odd thing to say horse boxes are call livestock carriers ! Not goods vehicles and are or not in the heavey vehicle. understand that they are not charged as much, if at all. My motorhome I am OK with the M25 ? !
Now, I'm looking for a within reach of a site of Bristol without being I the zone, by the way its a bessacar ....W10 DUN look forward to meeting with you one day best Regards Ron&Jen weldone both of you
Yes there are some peculiar taxation classes for Motorhomes. I don't know the Bristol area that well, but the CAZ is quite small in the city area. I'd Google campsites in the area around the city if I was going there.
Hi, could you tell me what road atlas you use please, in your older videos it seems very detailed. Many thanks.
Don't tend to use road atlases these days. Sat Nav and Google Maps. We have got a Philips 2023 Great Britain and Ireland book for emergencies.
Thanks Bob. Love your videos.
Thank you
I think Harrogate was better for new releases, plenty to see.
Yes, there's much more space at Harrogate.
“Why are we here” …….new van 🤔
Hi Bob , is there a clean air zone charge getting to Burrs site now?. The thought of having to pay on entering then again when leaving as entering the zone again , feels like it’s better putting that money to another night or paying for a treat whilst away on a site where you don’t get charged . I do like Burrs but it has put me off going regularly back due to this charge , 😢 thanks
No, the clean zone has been implemented after much public concern. Currently on hold www.manchester.gov.uk/info/200094/taxis_and_private_hire/8309/clean_air_zone_information#:~:text=The%20Greater%20Manchester%20proposed%20investment,hardship%20to%20residents%20or%20businesses.
Hi Bob, you really must allow Poppy more time to check her pee mails!
Lol, she must get more pmails than I get emails...
