From DC to Boston in Record Time: The Amtrak Acela High-Speed NORTHEAST Rail Corridor (NEC)
Amtrak, in collaboration with federal and transit authorities, has revealed an ambitious initiative aimed at overhauling the infrastructure along its Northeast Corridor (NEC) line, spanning eight states. This endeavor aspires to trim nearly 30 minutes off the rail journey from New York to Boston and is aptly named the "Connect NEC Plan 35" or C35. The unveiling of this monumental $117 billion, 15-year plan took place at the Moynihan train hall in Manhattan, under the aegis of the Northeast Corridor Commission-an amalgamation comprising eight states, nine transit providers including NJ Transit and Amtrak, and federal transportation agencies. It's worth noting that this plan received unanimous approval from the Commission members on June 24, as elucidated by Nicole Bucich, NEC Commission planning director.

What you consider to be a record time should be a normal time with highspeed bullet train technology. Amtrak you are decades, decades behind the far more advanced countries of the far east and Europe. You need to take a look at the big picture. Highspeed bullet train lines not only in the northeast corridor but, the entire United States Eastern seaboard with bullets that runs from Boston Massachusetts to Jacksonville Florida stopping in one city in each state it travels through. With this you could move millions of americans up and down the entire United States Eastern seaboard with great comfort and at speeds of 200 to 225 plus mph and not a ripple on your martinis. The United States Atlantic bullet line should have been built 20 or 30 years ago!!! You have to get our devided government on your side to support it which would grant you the money needed to build new lines and new track. You already have the new astom bullet trains which is just sitting around in some rail yard somewhere doing nothing! If you're not sure what to do then you reach out to someone who does. Call Japan! The cost to do this may cost between 300 and 500 billion dollars which is better than 600 billion dollars needed to put some fool on mars! A mars mission will benefit absolutely no one except for the fool going there if they even make it back alive! Remember all the money the United States government gave away in stimulus packages during the pandemic? The cost came to over 7 trillion dollars, (7 TRILLION dollars), given away!!!! Its not about money it's about stupidity. If the United States government would stop bullshitin and help out like the Chinese and Japanese governments do, we could give rise to these advancements. I make the 831 mile trip from Lancaster Pennsylvania to Jacksonville Florida and takes me 11.5 to 12.5 hours to complete. Thats 14 to 15 hours by EV. But, with the Atlantic bullet line i could reach my destination in 4 to 6 hours. You damn right i would park my car and take the train! I could drive to Philadelphia Pennsylvania and take the bullet to New York city in 30 minutes or less and go to work and still be home at the end of the day in time for supper. This is called economic growth. This would free up congestion on i-95 and relieve many who sit stranded at airports due to cancellations and delays during the holidays and travel seasons year after year. But stupidity and ignorance and a devided government in this land called United keeps the mighty United States of America from ever advancing in these modern marvels of transportation. America wake up!!! Highspeed bullet trains and maglev super train technology, the new american dream......

Virginia was left out of the Northeast Corridor, Virginia is a part of the Northeast Corridor with routes into Norfolk & Newport News both of which are a part of the Tidewater Metropolitian area in Southeastern Virginia and also into Roanok,VA.
