SECRETS of NEC 2037 Railway Project REVEALED!
For close to a century, the NEC has borne the weight of neglect, but the infusion of dedicated, multi-year funding through the BIL signals a transformative shift. The CONNECT NEC 2035 program, unveiled in July 2021 by the Northeast Corridor Commission, serves as a bedrock for this resurgence, presenting a comprehensive 15-year service development plan. This visionary framework aligns with the long-term goals outlined in the Federal Railroad Administration's 2017 NEC FUTURE Record of Decision.

Unless we can build railways at a price that other countries can, ie France and Spain for example. Its not worth the price tag, same up here in Canada, it's sad but not worth it.

Is this really the best they can do? In 1969, the Metroliner made the nonstop run from NY to DC in 2:30. When the "American Flyer" (Acela) was announced, it was promised that it would take 3 hours from NY to BOS. We will never have a "world class" high speed rail in the NEC unless dedicated HSR lines are built. The Shore Line between NY and BOS is totally unfit for high speed trains, especially the part between New Haven and Providence. Even with the projected times, it will still take 6 hours from BOS to DC, which will not be a viable alternative to flying. Why do they have these lines in Europe and Asia? Because their governments aren't for sale to the highest bidder.

What's even worse is some sections of the NEC and the Keystone Corridor still have fastened and bolted tracks with wooden ties as opposed to welded tracks with concrete ties supposively making the trains run faster than normal!!!
