- Lovable, round, and easy to care for, Pac Man Frogs are an excellent low-maintenance frog, especially if you want something unique. They come in a wide variety of morphs, offering a lot of colors and patterns to choose from.
These awesome frogs are named after the popular arcade game, and for good reason. They seem to be able to fit anything in their mouths, including each other!

@@allisoncastro2907 doesnt matter. Its common knowledge not to handle without gloves as human skin is really bad for them because of the oil
@@spectrespartan8140 there is some research that shows that some gloves are more toxic than human skin. Clean hands are actually safer than laytex gloves.
These are one of the most well know breeders and professionals in the frog world, you can sanitize your hands properly, they are not idiots.

I know I'm super late to this video. I never realized fantasy frogs were sterile. I'm raising a few frogs to try to breed them for a fun project with my family and 2 of the males a fantasies, literally. I'll keep them as pets they're really cool looking and gnarly eaters. Lol Thank you for the very good information, I've seen your displays at show, and am always in awe of all your animals. Keep up the great work, maybe I can pick up some frogs at the next show. Also, my wife wants Milk Frog for a Paladarium, I'm sure we'll be trying to get them when you have them.

Question-do the apricot Pac-Man frogs get dull and discolored as they get older??
Because pac mans get more rotund the coloration usually spreads more so than it changes.

One question, would I be able to keep one Thumbnail frog in a 5 gallon tank? Or maybe 2 depending on the tanks height?
I live in a small Rv for now because I’m always traveling for work, and don’t have space for anything bigger than a five gallon, any suggestions? I’m open to other species of frogs as well, as long as I can one/two in a 5 gal
CatchinHawgs TV if you get a male YES! they tend to burrow, and they don’t like to move at round much! if you get a female, it’s probably best after awhile to upgrade to a 10gal, because they grow to be MUCH larger than a male.
CatchinHawgs TV pac-man frogs can’t be put together, they are very individual and will eat eachother.
Cheater Riginex another species of frog that can be kept in 5 gallon is a African dwarf frog
i know i’m late but do not put pacmans together ever the bigger one will try to eat the smaller one and if they’re the same size both of them will suffocate and die

Feed babies every day, juveniles every other day, adults 2-3 times a week
If they stayed that small I'd buy your whole stock. Although no live plants would be a bit of a bummer.

Yes, I used distilled and dechlorinated water but I read that spring clean is healthier, I use spring water now.

Babies can be kept in small, plastic reptile enclosures, whereas adults can be caged in enclosures of 10 to 20 gallons. Pac-Man frogs love to burrow. Therefore they require a substrate that they can dig in to. Coir (ground coconut) makes a great substrate and is available at most pet stores. They get MUCH bigger. And I dont know about this guys frog specifically, but usually around 20 dollars, with a 40 dollar shipping cost if you buy online(which I would reccomend). Buying them from petsmart ect. Just fuels to their mistreatment of animals. I once saw a pacman frog, in with at least 6 anoles at a petsmart!!!!! :(
This came up on my recommended and it made me really sad bc I had a pacman frog named George but the place I got him from didn't treat their pets well so George was sick and wouldn't eat much he passed a few weeks ago

hi!! this is a week later && im not an expert but id handle pacmans as little as possible with bare hands as the oils and chemicals may hurt their sensitive skin, so if you do need to handle them id definitely use some non latex gloves!! :)

i have a question why would a pac man frog spit out chewed up food
If you're feeding crickets or roaches it could be something to do with the hind legs being too sharp so there is a startle response. It could also be related to taste of the feeder itself or the supplementation.

Pacman frogs hibernate during months. This is maybe the case for your frog. My male ornate burries 4 to 5 months per year. No issue.
