do you do any lighting with your frog? Since it is albino, I am confused on what to do if I got one lighting wise. I dont wanna hurt it, but wanted to have a bioactive setup
You’re so natural on camera! I came here from Alex’s channel you two are changing the lives of reptiles and amphibians everywhere because of the knowledge you’re sharing thank you
2:39 I think you can definitely call it enrichment. I hate seeing sand boas in boxes of sand and pacmans in boxes of dirt, with nothing else in them. I was told that my sand boa wouldn't use anything I put in there, and it uses everything that other snakes use. I got a Pacman recently and I'll be giving him a real setup just like my sand boa. Just because an animal doesn't climb on things doesn't mean it doesn't use them! My sand boa doesn't climb on his decor, but he gets enrichment from having something to bury under/around, and from having a more realistic environment. Even if you don't see your animal using its decor, it still gets value just from having its environment replicated correctly. I'll definitely be putting decor in for my new frog. He'll get just as much aesthetic value out of it as I will :)
Great video, got my froggy friend a couple of months ago and no regrets, absolutely adore her. She is such a character, even though she mainly just sits there. Highly recommended as pets.
i came across your channel recently from the spider ball python video and i have been watching and really enjoying your videos since. your care for animals really shows and is very refreshing. your knowledge of the hobby is also great and really fascinating. definitely a REALLY under appreciated channel! keep up the great work dude !!
aren’t pacman frogs supposed to be handled as little as possible because of how the oils in our skin effect their sensitive skin? your care video was very accurate but i thought i’d mention this just for clarification.
What if you wore gloves like latex or nitrile? Or maybe those looser plastic film gloves that you often see in food handling. I guess those could also have chemicals that could leach into their skin and hurt them, but maybe there is one that is completely inert to them
He explain smoothly...it's pretty clear to understand...I do like it...detailing of taking care ...just bought 1 pacman recently...and I learn a lot from you...thanks for the info...
Nice video kid! Keep them coming. We acquired a Pac-Man frog and your video was very helpful in getting her set up! Your a natural on camera! God bless!
Very nice video. The word for breathing through the skin is called “cutaneous respiration.” Think I’m going to get a Pacman frog to help my leopard gecko eat crickets, instead of them dying and going to waste. 👍🏼
Very informative video. My 7yr old son is a frog/toad expert and he just got one for his birthday. Thanks for the heads up about the bite! Your close footage of your frog is very nice!
Have you tried making the pacman's tank bio active? I used to use a mixture of charcoal and water to spray in areas that would try to grow mold. Not sure if it actually worked or if the spring tails took care of it, as my tank accidentally became bio active when I started planting things. I never see mold any where. Those things act fast.
Thank you so much for releasing this video today I just purchased my first Pacman frog and I want to make sure that he is well taken care of and I don't want to do anything wrong he's an adorable little guy
I actually just got a Pacman frog I already have some chubby frogs and I'm so excited to have another frog thanks for the video it was very helpful looking forward to more videos!
Just stumbled onto this video. I wish I had this to look at when I had my Pac man frog! Great video and Eliza is a beauty! Would you talk about your thoughts on red leg in Pac man frogs? That is what killed mine. New sub here! Thank you!
Hey! Red leg usually comes from unclean substrate or substances within the tank. It's a bacteria infection. But I'm very sorry for your loss. It's always hard to lose an animal
Just got a baby pac man frog and I really appreciate the information. So when it's adult I should most likely be able to tell the sex now because of the size difference. There is a lot of mixed information on them so it's really nice seeing your setup and your very healthy happy fat lazy frog.lol I am very excited to help this little baby grow just as healthy into adulthood. Right now it is the size of about my thumb. ❤
Great video man. All information solid and holds up well. Only thing I’ll add that’s changed: Pac-Man frog owners state now on enclosures being minimum 10 gallon, but as they get larger, 20 for male possibly 30 for female/
Awesome video! I'm getting my first Pac Man frog pretty soon. I'm more of a snake guy, I have 8 snakes lol but I'm a new subscriber so if you can do an update video on all your snakes, that'll be great. Thanks and keep up the good work 👍
Thank you so much ! We just got a baby Pacman Frog. We named him Reginald! But if he wonds up being a girl, we will call her Regina! :) Either way, I am I'm love !!! Adorable little face and body !!!
i bought the plantation soil in the description. really should have read the reviews first so it’s on me but it’s some of the worst substrate in terms of soaking. It took 2 days of soaking and a lot of prying to get it loose. I’m apparently not the only one with this issue according to half the reviews online.
Thank you! This was really informative I was really happy to see it was you when I clicked this video and not some random person I don’t trust lol I watch you guys on GoHerping all the time
I used to have 3 of these guys years ago and they were the best! I would pick them up once in a while. They never screamed at me tho! 🤣🤣🤣 I couldn’t believe she did that! Haha! She’s huge tho! Great video! You take great care of her!
Thank you so much, your video is very helpful. I just bought a Pac-Man frog on impulse (I know, stupid of me right) tonight. I absolutely adore him. I’m also very scared of him, but only the biting and the sudden jumps. I also have a leopard gecko, two fish and a lot of furbies (that’s what I refer to as my fur babies/mammals).
Transport is simple, just put them in a small container, like a round tupperware with holes in the lid, and about an inch of their substrate. As with the enclosure, make sure the substrate never dries. Zoomeds' Reptisafe is always a trust-able water treater!
I need to clean out and handle a Pacman frog as part of one of my assessments and this is really helpful! But I wish I'd seen it before I knew they have teeth and got bit in the middle of my practical lesson : )
I keep my house at around 76 - 78 degrees with AC (I cant stand the cold) and in the winter I bump up the heat to 72, so should I even invest in a heat mat or still get one just in case? Im also in Florida so the winter weather here is usually not horrible.
Regardless of whether or not your soil is damp enough to "not" have a water bowl, you should ALWAYS have a water bowl for any frog Species. This is just basic Amphibian care
From what I've seen pac man's do not swim and can even drown in their water bowls so they aren't exactly just like other frogs. I just got my first baby and there is so much conflicting information. Most amphibians do hydrate through the skin along with other reptiles so he's not exactly wrong by their biology. If you do have a water bowl I've seen people warn that it needs to be shallow so that they don't drown. So I would think either option is okay? I have lizards and snakes but this is new to me. They seem hearty and healthy so I'm excited for this journey.
You couldn’t be any more wrong, these frogs prefer moist soil, to burrow and retain moisture, do species specific care instead of lumping all frogs into one care routine. The way you assume is harmful to many
I have 2 pac man frogs and have had them for quite awhile. They absolutely have to have the soil moist to absorb the water but they also use their water bowls as Jacuzzis also. They will sit in the water for hours and jump out when they're ready to bury themselves
TOTALLY FORGOT TO MENTION THIS, PLEASE SUPPLEMENT WITH CALCIUM POWDER EVERY OTHER FEEDING!
Amazing Animal Adventures I never knew how big of doodoos they take
And can I feed regular minnows
Hello! I am totally new to keeping Frogs and I am a tad confused by this. How do I supplement with the Calcium powder? In water? I am confused.
just dust there food
@Ru22eLL not that much. Just enough to lightly coat.
@@reptitan5498 Thanks.
the most beautiful lump
Indeed.

@@RadiantReptilia What about it's poop? Do I need to change the substrate constantly?

Pacman and bull frogs: *I SEAT*
this channel is underrated
Yep
I agree
That was pretty much everything I had questions about thanks. Even the poop
HAHA glad to help!

@nobody2021 that won't harm them but it's still stressful for them
He said he handled her fairly regularly and she seems to be thriving. She was also very calm and didn't seem distressed at all. So it's probably fine.
