My curly hair tarantula is pretty much the same way, accept she's an 8 legged pet rock, unless you mess up her burrow, them she's going to be very busy for a little while because she is very picky about her burrow. Also do pacmans need uvb? Because I might get one.

I had an American toad for around 15 years and she drove me nuts sometimes, what with all the splashing and whatnot during the night. Pacman frogs confused me as pets. since they don't do much just sit and eat and you can't even hold them for more than 2-3 minutes since their skin will be harmed by le toxins on your hand.
They're not a "pet" in the entertainment and love way, it's more like "whoa this animal is cool" and "how the fuck are you fitting that much food inside you".

lots of people think that a good first pet is a hamster, rabbit but I really think that pacman frogs are much better first pets because they are low maintenance, easy diet, and don’t need a huge enclosure like hamsters or rabbits.

He hasn't come out to eat and I'm not sure if he has had any water either. He looks like he hasn't lost any weight but I;m not sure if this is normal or not. If he comes out (which is very rarely), I open the tank and he runs straight back into his hide.
Hey I have a question about my Pacman frog I haven’t found anyone that can help me out so I came here hoping someone could help out I’ve had my Pacman frog for about three months and it’s still a baby but it hasn’t really ate since I got him and hasn’t pooped that I’ve noticed but about three days ago I noticed that he looked really big almost like a dead animal when they blow up and get really big i was confused so I googled it and I came across water edema syndrome I think that’s what wrong with him but I have no idea what to do or how to help he’s gotten so big it looks like he is vary uncomfortable
There are show piece animals . even chameleons are more for show most do not enjoy handling. I dont have to hold all my reptiles and it doesnt bother me. If i had a pacman frog i would build a beautiful tank around it. Not so much for him but for me. Green tree pythons are another example of a show animal they just sit on a branch coiled up and good luck handling them easily. I know there are exceptions
Pac Man frog is obviously the technical scientific name. I believe is a Latin term, but I don't speak Latin, so I can't say what it means, but I think 'Pac' means lumpy, and 'Man' means large mouth. Lol

No, they don't. If you need additional heat, then a heat mat is recommended. These like most amphibians, don't need uvb.
Some morphs don’t do well with uvb (like albinos) and so they don’t really need it but they do need vitamin d3

1 they’re huge which is awesome 2 they come in s many beautiful colors 3 they are super easy to care for 4 they can eat just about any feeder animal!

I've had him for around 7 months and he has eaten well. I've replaced his big hide with a smaller one and he seems fine now.
