You also have to pick the right compressors based on the material, this gonna have more impact than changing compagny even if UAD is far better than Waves exept with a handfull of theirs
Interesting… Now days I have used a combination of Mixbus compression then subgroup then on solo bus I either traditionally, serial and/or parallel with VERY LOW ratios and reduction makeup… The only thing I find myself more aggressive on is drum work… But I will try this… where solo bus compression is only needed on back end…
So basically choosing the right compressors for the job, while dialing in the right settings for the appropriate music. Got it! But he is a master in it!

I did this with waves plugins as was like cool but did it again with uad plugins and was like damn this is really nice.
