    In my case (VOLVO V70, 2005) only this helped: Key position II, when lowering the window I pull out the fuse, then the key to position 0, after a few seconds I put the fuse back and turn the key back to position II. Now attention! I lower the window holding the switch in the first position (manual lowering), the window goes down to the very bottom, and I still hold it for about 10 seconds. Then the same up - I pull the switch and hold it in the first position (manual lifting), the window reaches the very top, and I hold it for about 10 seconds. After that, the window started to go automatically (switch in the second position) down and up perfectly!

      Thank you! The video disabled the automatic up and down (which I was fine with since the windows were no longer lowering by themselves), but holding the button for about 10 seconds when the window was closed did the trick for me. I didn't even have to hold the button in the lowered position on my 06 xc90 2.5t.

    There can also be a seal kindof protruding out by the plastic where the mirror is on the inside provinding resistance enough for the safety mechanism to stop the window. Had that problem (V70N)when I had wind deflectors. Hope its useful info!

    It works. Thank you so much. You're the best!
    You made pulling out the fuse look so easy. I had a tough time pulling out the fuse because it takes a lot of force to pull it out and the plastic fuse puller easily slips off. I had to use the fuse puller to pull the fuse partially out so it was loose but still connected, that makes it easier to pull out at the right time.

    On my 2004 S60, the passenger side window's auto-close is permanently disabled, is there a way to enable it? That is clearly an option, not a malfunction, as the switches read ok when in "auto" position, and both windows are calibrated.

    • @TechscrewHome

    • @TheBypasser
      @TheBypasser 8 месяцев назад

      @@TechscrewHome Nope, not the same ;) The auto-open works on both sides for me, only the passenger side auto-close doesn't. No calibration issues (I used a scan tool to both check and reset those just for the case), no switch issues (again, tested by reading the state of the switch with the tool). According to the manual, some S60 versions indeed have the auto-close disabled on the passenger side, and I know another person with the same "issue". Wonder if it can be re-enabled using VIDA (I use ThinkDiag, which lists some programmable options, but nothing on this window feature in at least DDM/PDM and CEM, only actuation tests and soft stop).

    everything agrees, it's just pointless trying to remove the fuse before the window starts to lower. just extend the window past the first position of the window switch and the window will stay up. Then remove the fuse.

    The calibration is still not precise. You are missing a very important step in the video...open and close the boot 3 times before pulling the fuse out. Come on, just kidding. 😂😂😂
    Hold the switch to a lift position until the window stops in the frame and keep it for 2-3 secs longer. Perform the same with the down position. Ta-da-a-aaaa. Window positions calibrated and no fuse pulling needed.
