      The Goodbye Girl (1978) Manhattan, residence was on Amsterdam at Lower West Side. Foul Play (1978) was mainly filmed in San Francisco, that would be neat. Amityville Horror (1979) , although the house they used was at 18 Brooks Road, Toms River, New Jersey. Not sure of other locations.....

    Hey Boppers,
    My name is Moise Morancy. I’m the writer, director and producer on this proof of concept. I also star as Cleon in this. If you’re like me, someone who appreciates and loves “The Warriors,” you know in 2005, Rockstar created a video game based on the cult classic and gave a backstory to how the gang was formed. Myself and others believe this needs to be remade as a prequel. No one can hold a candle to the originators but I wanted to pay homage and give them their flowers. Because they weren’t good…they were “the best.”
    I hope you enjoy! 🙏🏿

    • @Charlie_Fucsard
      @Charlie_Fucsard Год назад +3

      Cleon! You're the man. Glad to see you survived those countless downward elbows from those illinformed Gramercy Riffs, you're one tough mf'er :). I love the movie & loved the game. It would be amazing if the game was remade to modern standards. I remember how sad I felt when the game was over, I just wanted to keep hanging out with the Warriors haha.

    the gang meeting sequence was filmed in Riverside Park at a place now called dinosaur playground. there's some children's play equipment there, but the rest of it pretty much looks the same. I was just there 2 days ago for the very same reason, to get a look at the filming location.

    • @D33Lux
      @D33Lux 5 месяцев назад +1

      It was a no fvcks given feeling back then, it was dirty, dangerous and loud. Felt exactly how it looks in the movie. I hope they never remake this, but it would be good to see a modern movie back story on how it all started. Even how all the gangs started.

    Can't believe they were actually stepping on and jumping off of real people's gravestones. Also, weird how some trees grow a LOT over that time, and some weren't much different at all. Thanks! :)

      Now there's a huge boardwalk and a peer, but the peer is not tall. Met some O.G. Puerto Rican guy fishing for crabs, he told us story's of growing up in the 70's smack era (heroine). Showed us where there were larger piers where homeless and junkies lived under there. Told us about friends who were murdered, stabbed, raped and killed. Hard times back then.
      Another good movie that show's NYC in the 1970's was Taxi Driver, Death Wish. Modern movie was Carlito's Way showing the 1970's. Tons of movies were filmed in NYC back in the 70's and 80's.
