It's a nice layout! Just pull out that lysol or clorox and scrub that place down - or complain to the management since you haven't moved in yet, see if theyll do it (doubt it though).
As a former Bronxite I really like that layout! Makes more sense than the studios in Orlando 🤷🏻♀️ wish my fridge and stove were stainless like yours! 😍

Maybe look to share a place? It might be the easiest way to get a place until you have work history etc. Most apartments want you to have 3x the rent income. Do you have anyone in the states who can cosign ? Maybe the company who you are doing the internship with can recommend housing? There are buisnesses that can help you find a place as well.

Really nice place. Congrats! FYI, small NYC apts rarely have pantries. Typically, a closet with shelves next to the bathroom is a linen closet.

I would keep it as a pantry. Your bathroom is large enough for an amour or some type of mounted or free standing storage for linens n such.
Thank you for sharing. I’m always interested in living spaces in other parts of the country. I’m in Georgia, so the comparison is a lot different.
