Has to be one of the biggest studios I've ever seen in NY. Bigger and has so much storage than my 1bedroom and the price???!!!! A DREAM! Lol. Great space! Love it.
Wow your apartment layout is unconventional in a good way! I like how the kitchen is separated from the main living area; it makes your space feel more like a 1bd/1ba layout as opposed to a studio.
Thanks for sharing your space! I live in rural Iowa so it's exciting to see how a New Yorker lives! I would be in heaven living in your tiny yet spacious apartment. You did a great job of making it cozy and your own. I love the nighttime ambiance.
This is a great space for NYC! And that price is half of what many studios are going for! To live alone for $1300 is amazing. Often it'll cost that much or more to rent a room in a multi-bedroom place! You've done a great job with it too! I know you said that you struggle with the green bathroom, but I did notice as you walked out of the bathroom that the jade green of the couch matches well with the bathroom colors!
Your apartment is beautiful. I like the minty green bathroom. I think it looks fine. The yucca would probably grow better in the main room where there's more light.
Your bathroom is really charming! I had a similar bathroom in San Francisco - but it was pink and black. Instead of trying to hide its age, I tried to highlight the charm. I think you did a great job! Once that light is fixed it will seem brighter and happier.
im currently looking for places in this price range and this video made me feel hopeful for finding a cute spot like this. you're so charismatic too!!!!!!!
Thanks for showing that IKEA table I’m moving into a studio next month and I saw this table online It’s really big and the chairs are nice ! Nice studio! Very spacious and you have it decorated so nice ! Thanks for sharing !
If I'm not mistaken there is a smaller version of that table and I think it also comes in black. I've had the table in the past and it's quite good quality but I think IKEA has nicer chairs that aren't too expensive.
@@moniqueb8545 I’m not sure about a smaller set but yeah I saw the black and it’s nice too! Also, I saw that ikea has seat cushions for these chairs so I might get those to make them more comfy!
I looove your couch! Not me coming across your video just when I'm trynna make a decision on what colour of couch I should go for. Beautiful space girl!! Love from Kenya!!
Thanks for sharing. Your studio is awesome, with so many closets. Leave the bathroom as is, it's perfect. I love the separate kitchen, to keep smells inside.
Hey sis, another native New Yorker here, I'm a bronx girl born and raised lol I grew up in a Co-op....thankfully i have a great career with the city and i can finally afford to have my own space. This is LOVELY and very affordable. I plan on staying in the Bronx myself but there are affordable apartments, people just dont want to compromise space or living outside Manhattan or Gentrified Brooklyn
What a great apartment & the price is awesome. Green is my favorite color so loving that couch & bathroom. So much room plus you fit in an eat in space in the kitchen. Can't believe how much counter space & cupboards you have. Score! I hope you will be happy there.
Okay...so I think you're adorable, BUT please get rid of those hanging circles in your entrance. Your entrance should have things like Parisian posters with colors, maybe two or three big ones. Not too expensive on Walmart or Etsy. Second thing, please get organizers for your closets girl, and do buy narrow bins w/lids with wheels to put more if your clothes away for the seasons and you'll have more room. You can buy those bed risers (Walmart's) to lift your bed higher and you can slide the bins under there. Love your little kitchen setup and your alien friend Simon? but you need a nice, printed frame in there also. Maybe some nice farm animal prints or something you love. In your living room you might need to invest in an small entertainment center to neatly place some of your chachkies. I believe N.Y. is pretty strict about wall paint because I grew up there but see if the landlord will allow wallpaper for one wall or if you can paint one wall. For your fire escape, place some nice plants that will grow outside and inside to provide oxygen for you. Plants in your home clean the air inside for you. You can even start an herb garden right over your sink with a sink shelf and add them to your food. For your bathroom, buy a nice shower curtain in a shade of jade green, or hunter green with prints or designs on them and get a nice long rug, the length of your tub. Your bathroom is also long enough to get some nice tall plants like eucalyptus which will make your bathroom smell like a spa. And do get some nice bar soaps from bath and body. Anyway, thanks for sharing your place. God Bless.
Your place is amazing! Thanks for sharing! Whereabouts in NYC is this apartment? Please be careful with the fire escape. I hear people saying all the time that they use it as their personal balcony but I'd just like to remind everyone that a fire escape was not designed to be used for that purpose. It is not structurally sound enough to hold the weight. It is for emergency use only when fleeing a fire. *Forgive the rant *
Thank you! And its in Brooklyn. No need to apologize for the rant, I love people giving advice. I def make sure to keep the fire escape clear of any plants or anything that can obstruct during an emergency. I will 10000% keep your comment in mind in terms of weight requirements so thank you!!
Congratulations on your wonderful apartment! Gosh, when I saw your place, I was wishing The Decorating Fairy would come along with $10,000 to help you make the most of your space! Your couch couldn’t have worked out better if you’d ordered it yourself - and I think your instinct to interject color into the place is right on the money, honey! In the bathroom: A large mirror on the wall opposite the shower would help offset the bathroom’s narrowness - but I know they’re pricey. For the hall light fixture situation, rather than paying a lot & getting frustrated with professional fixtures, I’d dangle something inexpensive from an import store like a round wicker basket or paper sphere. It’s a good opportunity to add a pop of color up there! I love the kitchen cart, but I’d paint it black to look more sleek since the wood doesn’t coordinate with the cabinets. Regarding living/sleeping: If your bed was facing the other direction, it might make it the room more comfy - guests could sit on the end of the bed without feeling like they were invading your personal zone. If you did so, an attractive throw draped over the bottom 1/3 rd of the bed - perhaps in a leopard print - would make it more inviting as seating. The couch could use contrasting pillows or a throw to make it more stylish (look for deals on Amazon). Also: They make these $15” square, sturdy, collapsable cushioned cubes that are inexpensive (under $20 apiece on sale) that can be used as ottomans OR extra seating. You can collapse them when not in use, or push them up against a wall. Two together gives the look of a bench. AND they give you more storage!!! To compliment your color scheme, go for a bright color that’s not emerald green - maybe fuschia, tangerine, or violet (red would read too Christmas, and yellow could look dated besides getting dirty easily). I imagine you’r aware that a big picture above the couch would ‘elevate the space’ as the pros say - but art is crazy expensive. I’ve heard of people getting a cheap framed canvas at a thrift store and painting their own modern art over it with acrylics - which I think is a great idea! Find an inspiration picture online and go to town! Also, I could imagine a fake tree or branches strung with fairy lights over near the couch ....something that would give a sculptural element during the day & sparkle at night! I think all my ideas (except the mirror) could be pulled off for around $250. Whatever you decide, I think you’re on the right track. God bless!😊🎉
Lovely studio flat! Loving the setup! Nothing like making it your own, as comfy as possible. You may've mentioned it already, and I'm sorry for asking a question that you may've answered, but where did you get your neon table lamp, please? Well done!

hey if you want a nature vibe in your front hallway you should replace those purple banners and hang fake leaves instead and put the purple banners above your couch! :D
Cute lil' apartment! I like how you have it fixed. Maybe down the road if you have the $, you could buy a few pieces like open bookcases that would allow you to section off a small space for the bed and give a more defined space for the small LR, but...all in all, pretty good, especially for a young career girl. Sigh...remember those days...you enjoy, girlfriend!
You did an amazing job with your apartment. It is beautiful. Word pd advice though, please don't move the camera around so fast, I got motion sickness watching this...but the apartment looked so neat that I had to watch to the end.
