i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a way to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Nolan Nova I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thank you for this video. I am going to build several of these to store my wife's canning jars! I think I will build ours to hold 18 jars. The crate will be wider that way for stability to stack up. I am going to use 7/16 OSB and 1/2 plywood siding on the bottoms. Because I have a ton of scrap just laying around in my way. The round edge cut off from the 2x4 I will use as cleats on the underside to stop them siding around when stacked. Good way to use up all the scraps in my way constantly. Better way of storing empty jars than cardboard boxes that are constantly falling apart. I love the handle and router idea as well. Again, thank you for the light bulb idea!
Another great video as always! About to go make this out of scrap laying around for my kitchen renovation. Love these types of videos. I can see 1M subscribers in your near future.
This is an excellent video. First, the project and explanation are simple and thorough, well thought out. Second, you gave a perfect tease for the next video and tht's got me clicking on your page link!
If you coat them with vinegar it ages them , the smell of the vinegar disappears after a couple of days. I have used this method for so many items I have made.
@@BeccaPickles turn on captions. I watch a lot of youtube videos with my kids sleeping nearby, so I have very low volume, but I turn on captions and just read it. It's not perfect, but it's good enough.
Anyone have any idea roughly how much weight these can hold? I'm desperately looking for something just like this that will be able to carry about 50lbs worth of material
Great question. I ripped down the 2x6 into the thin strips on the sides. If you don’t want to do that, you could also buy a bundle of lattice. I’ve done that before
I TRIED TO GET MY QUESTION ANSWERED FROM SOME BODY ELSE AN NOTHING WAS ANSWERED SO I WILL TRY HERE... I AM LOOKING FOR STACKABLE BOXES FOR MY FULL CANNING JARS WITHOUT THEM TOUCHING THE TOPS OF THE FULL JARS BELOW THE STACKED TOP BOX... [[BUT ONLY 2 BOXES HIGH]]... WOULD THESE BOXES THAT YOU MADE FIT JUST 12 QUART CANNING JARS?? AN IF SO WILL THEY STAND UP TO THE WEIGHT OF THE CANNING JARS BEING FULL??? AN WOULD THESE BE STACKABLE?? [[I WOULD NOT WANT THEM TO STACK AN THEN FALL OVER]] AND I WOULD BE LOOKING FOR BOXES THAT WOULD FIT 12 PINT JARS THAT WOULD BE ABLE TO STACK 3 BOXES HIGH AS WELL... WHAT SAY YOU...??? I dont even know if you're going to read this comment, given how old the video is BUT I'm trying to get started woodworking and making a simple project like this would be ideal. (What I'd do with these boxes once they were made is beyond me) I do really HATE projects when people say "You don't have to measure [the gap between the side slats], just eyeball it." I'm Autistic and, with that, I have ZERO concept of distances, so just 'eyeballing" anything fills me with dread. Makes me not bother wanting to start. (It was a great project to tackle because I don't own ANY clamps, and I never saw a clamp in sight in your video.) Mind you, so do any measurements that aren't metric, to be fair.
Why do people love wooden crates I get people stopping at my house asking me if I'm that guy that makes wooden crates and want me to build them some crates I'm known as the wooden crate guy
I`ve watch a few of your other video`s and you scare me. Don`t get me wrong but if you want to continue in woodworking Please Please Please wear a respirator. If you look at the dust laying on the saw, drill press and miter saw that`s what your lungs will wind up looking like. So i loved your video hope to see you around for a long time to come as i`m sure your family does to. Thank you for sharing.
Those turned out nice and strong! I really like the way you made the handle without the jigsaw.
Thank you! I appreciate that! Thought I’d try something new!

Love the handle tip. I HATE trying to cut those with my jigsaw!
Thanks! Me too!
Quite slick. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. ❤
Great job Josh! Love the content you out out. Looking forward to the furniture piece in your next video.
Thanks Jon! It’s definitely one of my favorite pieces. It’s very interesting
that’s a great tip on the handles of these crates. Great project.
Thank you! I hate cutting them and sanding them to try and make them perfect

Great project! Thanks. Where can I find the free plans, please?
Your crates are nice. But are they faster and a bit easier to build than Steve's? Yes. But are they stronger? Gonna have to say "No".

Great video, I will look forward to making these
Thanks!
Do you have a video of building a sprinkler valves cover, to protect from sun?
I don’t. Sorry

As someone who doesn't hear as well as I used to, is there anyway to mute the music when you're talking? Hard to tell some things you were saying.
I wish there was. I try not to use as much music these days

What are the size/length of the bras nails?
I can’t remember, but 1.5 - 2” should be more than enough

Thank you! I’m really not sure. I’m not 100% what size an album is

Each crate can hold something 8” tall 11.5” wide and 16.5” long of that helps you

Sounds promising, but you lost me in first talk-cut-talk cycle because of soft voice plus loud tools (step up your sound editing pls).
Thanks for the feedback
you lost out on some great tips, especially the brilliant handle. Glad you left the chat, but you spited yourself.
