This is just awesome air airline cant wait to book a seat for it. I love the colour and especially the design and also changed the interiors which looks fabulous. The colour and designs tell me this is the way to my home fiji
The manual override isn't a guarantee of safety. If the pilot is disorientated, then the stick-shaker and manual controls mean very little. Birgenair 301, Aeroperu 603 and Flash Airlines 604 all come to mind. And Airbus' system prevents the plane going to far. If the plane lets the pilot override it, then it will crash. And in any case, it prevents simple errors such as Korean Air Cargo 8509.

but don't forget, the reason they bought/lease 330 is also to replaced the 767 (very old aircraft). in terms of maintenance and crew, well I assumed airbus 330 has lower maintenance cost (2 engines versus 4 engines, plus fuel burns) and less crew.

Fiji Airways is a great airline but I am confused Why haven't they bought the B787-9 Dreamliner
They were supposed to have been the launch customer for the B787 Dreamliner, in the Oceania Region. Somehow that order got pushed backs.
wrong type of aircraft? this kind of aircraft (airbus 330) that fiji airways needs according to market condition for fiji airways. they don't need 747, or even 777 it's too big for them (from market conditions). Airbus 330 is a great aircraft!!
They should have sticked with boeing aircraft not airbus a330.
