JD I really wish you would look under these units to see if they did anything to prevent rodents getting in. It is so important on something that you are going to leave at a property. The last Montana I had basically highways for them down both sides right into the belly of the unit.
Oh good idea!
Too narrow
Only 2 slides was such a missed opportunity. Imagine how amazing that living room would be with a super slide on the opposing side.
@@bradentraub Yeah. Not as nice a use of space as the Roost, which has 5 slides I believe.
I’d like to see more destination trailers with 2 master bedrooms and no lofts.
It's too small, where is the slideouts? The bathroom is too narrow. It's made if you weigh 95 pounds. Needs 2 bathrooms for how many it sleeps. Range too small. No counter space. Go back to the drawing board. Just too much wrong with it. Needs dishwasher. I wouldn't buy it.
I LOVE the look of this. BUT........... Manufacturers need to supply a wheel cover panel for all Destination units that blends in with the exterior of their units. Especially with something that looks like this, they could make a fiberglass wrapped/printed panel that covers the wheels that would look sooooo cool on this unit in the horizontal wood panel design. a simple bolt or snap it on would be EASY
Not impressed at all. To much design, not enough function.
no storage in the lofts at all so all the kids clothes would have to be in the master. Not a fan of the bath setup feels claustrophobic
I love the kitchen, the living room, and the outside. I would use the lofts for storage, but the bathroom is way too narrow. Back to the drawing board, folks.
Wow! I absolutely love the exterior graphics…insanely cool. I’ve never seen such an exterior. That entire rig is one of the nicest and overall awesome rig…I love everything about it!
Nice unit, but the access to get to the bathroom from the bedroom is very awkward since you have to walk down the steps.
Bathroom design is tight squeeze for plus sizes people. Lofts there is no storage area for the kids to keep thier stuff.
JD, you missed that they actually have road armor suspension on this. Would that allow this one to be move more frequently than your typical destination trailer?
Do you know if this retains normal cedar creek construction? With the hung glass sidewalls, glued and screwed studs, removable underbelly panels?
With the increased popularity of tiny homes, these park model RVs are trying to compete. Look at the exterior of this one. Not sure if the RV build quality will ever match that of a tiny built home built like a residential building not like these park models built like an RV. Not too bad though. The bathroom was the worse part.
Folks, for those complaining about the exterior or the look, this is what you would typically see and what would be considered a tiny home setup. So, I think they were going for that sort of look and maybe that type of buyer. Personally, I have never really been a fan of the Loft setups and any of the trailers because I don't personally like the idea of having to crouch down when you are wanting to get into bed. I understand that in order to have higher ceiling Heights on the bottom floor that you have to have lower ceiling Heights in the upper deck but I believe I would personally rather have the higher ceiling height for my bed area and lose something else. I just think it could be designed differently so that you could have a different setup otherwise. For me, I would rather crouched down a little bit if I was going to sit and watch TV in the living room area so I would rather have a lower ceiling in there because I'm probably not going to be spending much time standing up in that area if I'm sitting and watching TV whereas I would probably be standing up more if I'm getting in and out of my bed area. That's just me personally. I also agree with everyone else that said that the bathroom is completely horrendous and is obviously way too narrow even for just most people in general. They should have just simply redesigned it and had the entry or exit door come out in the hallway and that would have taken care of the issue with it coming out directly to the kitchen. Again, you're obviously going to sacrifice one thing if you're trying to improve another so there has to be given take somewhere along the lines but I just think this is a poorly designed set up overall. I would also agree with others that stated that it was pretty ridiculous that they did not put a slide out down in the living room area. They should have obviously increased the slide-out situation and that could have increased the room so much more.
I’m a plus sized person. I’m not a fan of the very narrow bathroom. I think there is a lack of kitchen counter space. Opposing slide outs in the rear quarter of the camper would help.
It is good looking, but for our family of 4 living full time while building our new home, I like the layout of our 2020 Cedar Creek Mid Bunk better. I think we have more room for our family of 4 in it that this new one.
Don't like the fake exterior, if you are going for this look than but the little more effort and make it real. I had the shut off like usual, I just had lunch. I will have to wait for one of the other reviewers to tour it. Too much and fast panning I get vertigo. Please slow your roll. I have that sink in my home and love it
First impression of exterior - don’t like the wood look. Think it would look better with out the wood look and all the black/gray material.
Tacky fake wood galore! Fake wood exterior decal, fake wood ceiling beams, fake wood floors 😂
Interior colors and decor are outstanding! It can definitely sleep more than it can feed. Need 4 adult seats for eating. Bathroom was doable but narrow. Couch was really nice.
4” would have gone a long way in the lofts and I agree…missed opportunity on the slides
That bathroom is a deal breaker for me. It’s beautiful but that’s a very weird location.
Wow, that's hideous. Surprised that exterior made it past any design committee.
So my question, is why does thia have to be a destination 5th wheel? Does the front cap design cause damage over time? Just the higher structure have stability issues?
as a destination unit, the lofts are very short- great for kids but what happens when no kids and guests arrive- "Hey Dave and Shirley- your over night crouch room is upstairs... enjoy" plus the drier racks are great, but this is a one bathroom unit ? ......... Sue just did the laundry and Casey has to use the facilities, dilemma, paint the trees wet- or wrap everything up that is out to dry ?
End comment- i don't think this is a well thought out destination unit, unless it is meant as an entry level low budget unit ? No disrespect- i don't know the design unit's budget nor goal. I think there are 5th wheels that deliver better accommodation packages- just off my cuff thoughts- as always the review is great, leaving open for wondering on both positive and negative sides ! :)
Yeah the clothes rack completely closes of the bathroom? I don't even hate the bathroom if it wasn't for that.
1) I really like this.
2) What would the MSRP be for this?
3) I kept hearing some high pitched noise which sounded like it was coming from the outside. Were you by chance near a railroad hump yard?
4) Great job on the video JD.
Yep. Near a railyard
Residential without a dishwasher is a hard pass from me. Sorry.
External graphics are a good thing but that wood grain is cheesy
really like it, however the bathroom does seem pretty tight
This is just a singlewide with lots of lipstick.
I've never seen 42 feet seem so crapped
One bathroom in a family unit no bueno.
The bathroom seems really narrow. 👎
3:36 Something I haven’t thought of ask before, what would the max weight rating be with it unconnected to a tow vehicle considering JD’s rule that you’re transferring 20-30% (I think) of the weight to the vehicle to (presumably) get that 20k weight on 18k lbs worth of axles? (I hope that makes sense)
The gloss finish ruins the illusion on the outside. Also, the cabinets near the toilet don't have much space to open.
Very tiny house looking. Agree with you on the table options. The pantry cupboards seem pretty inaccessible above the counters and as high as they are. I am picturing climbing on the counter to get things in and out.
I am not a fan of this floor plan.
The table fireplace area should be a slide out, not crazy about the wallpaper/backsplash it could be better, otherwise Bravo!!!!
I’ve already seen this before but it is wonderful! Definitely a unique style, enough room for a family, and someone could easily live full time in this. I wouldn’t mind living in it full time lol!😊
I really hope they transfer the kitchen living room layout and design, without the loft area that is above the living room area, into a fifth wheel. I really like the layout, design and color combinations but I don’t want a destination RV. I want to be able to travel with it.
I absolutely love it. Only things I'd change is I'd have a slide to expand that bath it's way to narrow I'd prefer that be the master & have a half bath maybe under the living rm loft stairs. Id add doors to the loft above the stairs for either storage or a master closet.
Let me see if i get this right. If I need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I have to get up and go downstairs to the KITCHEN, then walk to the back of the narrow bathroom to use the toilet. That's a hard pass.
I really like the Undermount drawer slides.
Love the interior !!! Definitely more slides. 1 loft is plenty. Bathroom is definitely narrow 😢
I WOULD CHANGE THE BATHROOM UP.
BUT ALTOGETHER I LOVE THE I THINK IT'S A BEAUTIFUL 5TH WHEEL
YAY ALL CAPS!!!!!!
That rack in the bathroom is a spaghetti drying rack! why else would you have it that close to the kitchen!😂
I like the interior but I cant stand that exterior design. It would have looked better either all wood tone or metal siding tone.
Carpet is a NO
Copy of the Hand Built BARCLAY RV. I bet Robert will be not too happy they ripped off his design ideas.
The exterior looks god awful. I really don't get this design.
That would be a matter for individual taste. Personally I really like it
@@Blazeddonuts4241 to each one their taste i think. I don't get that fact that the wood does looks really good, but those gray slates looks so fake. And the horizontal/vertical mix is really weird.
I love the exterior. Modern and streamlined. Awesome exterior.
Nice. Would prefer a 2nd full bath. Need to have one of the lofts tall enough for adults.
rofl frosted window on bathroom in kitchen/living is a little strange 😂
Nope. Not a good design. Would like the exterior appearance if not for the fake wood.
Park models need to start offering Mini-split A/C systems
Matt looks leaner, maybe that andrea has been working him out some? ;)
Matt seems to be getting fitter. Liquify works!
140,000$????
I don't like the lofts. The rest is ok.
Take way too long to show interior
SWEET RIG
No genorator. ??? Diesel. Onana ??
Looks more like a tiny home than an RV really
This, is hideous.
Went on a factory tour last month and saw this unit being built.VERY NICE UNIT!!
Did it look sturdy?
Kleen told me never to use this product or any other rv toilet treatments. Thoughts?
Did they give any reason why?
@@BigTruckBigRV the guy told me long term that stuff will eat through the tanks. They use a solution that is a mixture of pinesol and Calgon. The combo helps lubricate the tanks very well.
I learned about them through the channel Changing Lanes.
Definitely unique. Nice unit for sure
The Matt cameo was awesome!
Absolutely ❤it!!!
Love it! Thank you!
Absolutely gorgeous

they need to ad two big huge awnings.
