I got this one. A) I prefer shiny and new look, B) it's bigger and I'm over 6'2" tall and thus have big hands, C) I heard the TC one has had many customers complaining about joints breaking and this one replaced a lot of them with diecast metal joints.
As far as quality goes, I give it 90% or so. The pin holding the sliding foot in place which fits inside the other foot in car mode was loose, there are a few paint blemishes/chips, the antennas on Bee's normal head are REALLY loose and the top of his head comes off way too easily, the angled armblade is ALWAYS wrong (seriously, just WATCH THE MOVIE, toy designers!). Honestly, these aren't major flaws, to me at least.
Even after all that, once he's in robot mode, I friggin love him. He doesn't even look like he can transform when on display.
Hey Ben, it appears your hip joints on your original transcraft beetle are actually facing the wrong way, if you were to rotate them, the hip joint will actually sit much lower and provide a better transition when transforming him into his car mode!
I actually prefer this one to the Transcraft original. I find it being larger really helps with the transformation and getting all the panels to line up. I'm also a sucker for the ingenuity of the transformation, having so much of the car in the legs and feet feels really different and interesting.
depend, if you collect threezero or oversize mpm this may fit the scale, but if you have original size mpm transcraft one is the right scale
When you compare the 2, which one functions better on articulations especially with that part on the chest that need to be attached to the armpit? My King Bee Knight is, like Ben suggest is very stiff armpit rotation (i mean we love stiffer joint of course in most cases) but lots of time it causes the attachment on the chest (lamps-nips part) to be off and the proportion became weird somehow..
I dunno if Transcraft has the same issue (visual wise the parts seem to sit better on TC to me) ?
Got mine in December last year. Very great when posing it side by side with toyworld optimus
Ive had mine for a couple months now and I have no problems getting the red lights inside the legs, when you fold them in you will get to a point of resistance just push a little further and they click into place, just push a little further then you did and they will click into place, mine sit inside nicely, I even posted some pics on some of the facebook groups for people asking about this very thing. I love this KO of Transcraft bumblebee, all the diecast joints and he scales well with the likes of BMB and WJ Bumblebee Movie Prime. Also the magnet comes in the box with mine had its own spot in the plastic clam shell. Both led boards worked just fine for me. I even took one board and reworked my M09 Prime for it to fit his head so I could use the hammer to turn either one on or off.
Is it nice and sturdy? My Transcraft Beetle crumbled and broke wherever there was gunmetal plastic. Ta.
@@giantbonsai8950 I never bothered picking up the trans craft version it was a little too pricey for me for what it was. So I cannot give a comparison of the two however I can tell you that I played around with this one several times and I've had no real issues with it. And for the price of it given a cost half of what transcraft cost he was definitely worth it any scales perfectly with my m09 bumblebee movie Optimus Prime

Ben, the switch for the magnetic light is on the back of his head, not the front (the metal sheet where the batteries sit in).
Regarding the LEDs in the other head. Check the rubber strips on the sides. On one of mine the rubber was too long and pushed out on the base by the circuit board. I trimmed the excess rubber and the head works.

I loved my Transcraft Beetle until it broke. I repaired it with glue. It broke in a different place. I repaired it. It broke in a third place. I repaired it with glue and a reinforcing screw. The paint job in car mode starting rubbing off on my fingers. Then the whole neck assembly crumbled into shards and i sighed and put it in the parts bin. Great design but shoddy, shoddy materials. I may have to get this knock off if they fixed that.
Mine too, I was looking up a video for the transformation and then something broke during mid transformation

Sam against CE-01 in vehicle mode looks like The Mountain standing beside Bumblebee.
I keep being told that it can't transform with the battle mask but you just did it so kinda confused. Excited for mine to arrive though

This King Bee Knight BB looks awesome! As you would say "Sublime!" Looks like he just hopped out of an oil bath. Body articulate seems poseable/flexible. I will have to look into him. I like the gun metal for the non-painted alt-mode.

14:50 that hinge piece that becomes the rear fender fell off the right leg. So they sent me a replacement. And it happened again! Same leg, first time I touched it. Anyone else encountered this issue?? This is one of my all-time favorite figures, and I'm 0 for 2 in getting a good copy. Or maybe it's me? It's not happening to the left leg though.

At the first look I think I want to have this but then when I realise that head lamp on the chest have two, one real, one fake, then I back off from this model. Maybe just wait for the next movies.

I'm looking for opinions, which Bumblebee movie Bee is best for scaling with the MPM Bayverse Autobot cars in vehicle mode?
The regular MPM-7 and Transcraft Bees scale in both modes quite well.
Are his Hands detachable?
The heads take 2x LR41 each. They should have been included.
Man perfect timing I just got my ce-01 in the mailbox today lol 😆, already have an issue with mine his horns falls off if u just try to angle them straight up there’s no joints on them I managed to put the back on though, overall it’s a nice figure it has some weight to it which is good and shows quality materials.
a think you know this now , but when you transforme it you need to change to the normal head

Never understood the need for the big exposed hinges on the roof, still don't, they should have fixed that as it's a right visual turn off for me in vehicle mode! Otherwise nice figure. Dumb question but did you try reversing the batteries?

There should be two LED versions .. I think they are both the same though
Remove the faceplate too for much easy access.
The back metal plate that holds the battery has small piece protruding at the bottom. This needs to be bent inwards or cut to make the bottom side round and will allow you to push it further and sit flushed inside the plastic head housing

Im torn, transcraft is more size accurate to my collectinf BUT cyber era is better and includes the hammer i want!

Yep
Transforming it for the first time was a nightmare but after doing it a few times, it really is kind of fun.

Man I’m not the biggest fan of bumblebee which i mean he isn’t my top 5 but damn i love the looks of this guy. I love the clean shiny yellow like he is fresh painted car. Pretty sweet if i collected movie bots this is one i would own.
Kinda wish I could get my hands on the original transcraft. But the load of die cast parts makes this *very* durable!.
Tbh the transformation doesn't feel all too bad either (do I did need to refer to your video for a couple of pointers) all in alluch better then the likes of zeta pioneer!

Aaaaaaaaargh. I literally just sold my TransCraft Beetle, because it was just so miserable to transform. This looks like it would fix most of the things I hated about it, but do I want to spend more money on this Bee!?
If only they didnt make a fake chest piece, iwouldve bought this one. Im not a fan of fake chests, the transformation shud be accurate. The robotmode looks amazing but unfortunately the transformation not accurate
This is the most incredible piece of engineering I think i've ever seen, and the best Bee movie Bee on the market by a mile. I will concede that fake chests aren't for everyone, though 🤭

I'm torn on him. I mean on one hand he's obviously a better fit for the ThreeZero scale stuff I've been collecting of the Bumblebee movie, but then there's a lot of glaring issues it has like the leg cleanliness and lacking paint details. And the second I saw him in the previous video those wrist ball pegs immediately started yelling in my ear the second I saw them...

Not gonna lie buddy you really can’t transform your figures very well can you? I seen this one and the knight orion Optimus prime and you couldn’t do that one either. Lol
