In my 18 acre lake there is a beaver... what I believe to be a lone juvenile beaver. He (or she) first appeared late last October and over the course of the winter, into the spring it's felled nine of my beautiful, majestic trees, directly into the water. Bearing in mind his (or her) kin have lived here since the beginning of the Holocene era, although driven out over the past 100 years and only now making a return, I have no intention in the slightest of hunting him (or her). Now, having watched some of your vids relating to this tiny special needs fella I actually feel very protective of the little fur-ball currently swimming around in my lake.

A long time ago in a place far far away, I actually had a little beaver as a pet. He was my friend for about seven years. His name was Simon. After I had him for about six months, I woke up to find him gone. He had gnawed a hole in the door and just walked away. Three weeks later who should show up on my door but Simon. And for the next few years that he was in my life he would visit me on a regular basis, sticking around for a day or two and then it was time to go back to wherever he went. I really missed the little feller.

Seeing Huckleberry swims there makes me so happy, and he's so big now. How old is he now?
He'll be 2 years old sometime in June. He's still technically a youngster, wouldn't have even left mom and dad yet.

I was a little late to this one because I was in a final when it came out but I'm so excited for my animal friend with a similar disability. Go Huckleberry go! Disabilities are manageable and we make do. I'm not very good at stairs either. I often have to go on my butt so I feel this.
I was just going to say: If Huckleberry were a human, he'd be diagnosed with ataxic Cerebral Palsy (I have spastic cerebral palsy, myself, which means my muscles are tight, instead of floppy). I hope that learning about how Huckleberry lives his life as a beaver will help your viewers become more accepting of the different ways different humans manage things.

@@CapriUni HI! Nice to see you. Yeah my cerebral palsy is mixed-type, and hemipledgic, although on the opposite side of the body, compared to Huckleberry's case. Well besides my eye, which is a newer problem.
At least you don't have to wonder if Huckleberry loves his new pool. If he could talk, he'd definitely be asking "One more jump?"

He's SO HAPPY in the water, aah! It's really amazing to see. He kinda struggled with water as a little baby, but now he's so ready to embrace his natural spaces and do what a beaver is meant to do!

Beavers are great swimmers and builders too. With their teeth, they build a damm which helps not make a huge water storm because if the water pops out then it will explode and break so, it’s really important that beavers should build, swim, sleep and eat mostly on chopped off wood and grass and vegetables and fruit.🥬🥒🌽🥕🥦🍆🍅🥝🍒🍑🍌🍉🥭🍍🥥🍈🍓🍇🍉🍌🍏🍎🍐🍊🍋🥔🍠🥗🥪🌴🌱💦

I live in Sweden (.Scandinavia.)I have wild beavers who live in cottages near me.I communicate with them.About 6000 years ago near ice age beavers was as huge like between black bear and grizzly size, about 300kg .They lived in Manhattan area for.ex.I was wondering now. Did beavers swim from Usa to Europe long time ago or from Europe to Usa?Notice the huge distansies between New York, Alaska ,Russia and Scandinavia for.ex.I dont think beavers want to walk on land long distansies they prefer rivers (swim in water, but not salt water i think.).Isent this an interesting question?

Anyway I'm super psyched that he's getting on in his growth and training- beavers are very social and learn all of their skills from their parents over several years, etc etc, so this one-on-one training and practice time is incredibly helpful to him!

I saw a beaver in the wild recently. It slapped it's tail on the water. Why do beavers do that? Does Huckleberry do that?
Some hunters make me angry here in Sweden canada and usa etc when they hunt trapp and kill my beaver friends with guns etc. for stupid reasons like" it look so ugly with beaver fellt treas near myhouse area"yes stupid people still are easy to find .Am a vegarian like a beaver. If all people where vegetarians on our planet , our planet get less animal suffering.Also beaver built cottages and dams are built by invarement friendly material like aspen tree mudd and grass. Beavers have been on this planet eating plants a long time like mountain gorillas etc. so we can get a cyclic balance harmonie between the eaten plant and plant eater.Even dogs with come from wulf can survive with vegan food , this is posible and with higher morale and also a solution and true , right?

I would of killed to have a bear when I was a teen in Canada, at my parents place we had a river and a pond within walking distance(The river just for me) and lots of trees with in walking distance that we chopped down all the time for fire wood. I had a 40 pound flemish giant rabbit that was extremely tamed and trained so I hope that would of prepared me but it still probably never would of worked but a Canadian can dream, either that or a buffalo of my new Province animal but their is a herd only 20 minutes from my place in Winnipeg and its fun to run to chase them and as soon as you walk then run the other way they chase you and the alpha males shoulders are like a massive 7 feet and he is no steroids compared to the rest

Huckleberry likes swimming even more than he likes his treats. That tells me that he’ll be happy there when he finally gets to move in permanently.
