Empathy is an indicator of a superior intelligence. Empathy is associated with grieving and highly empathtic people have usually experienced grief to a far higher level than the average person.
This allows highly empathetic people to dive deeper and touch a divine level of Intellegent consciousness. Many I.N.F.J's are actually unaware of who, what or why they think the way they do and this one aspect of an I.N.F.J is what sets them far apart from the average human being !!

I dont believe we are the smartest intellectually, I believe we are long time planners and have very strong emotional intelligence which is what makes us intelligent but we are overall not book smart, for school we are probably average except when we love a certain subject.
What we are really good at is at observing and processing information, we are really good at seeing patterns form from our observations and anticipate future problems and events, we always look ahead more than everyone else.
This by far is one of our greatest strengths which is extremely valuable in a workplace environment as long as we are listened to, we can change tasks and make then quicker, I know because I have done so in the past and I love to make peoples life easier.

Intelligence is not knowledge. Why would a INFJ be "book smart"? The whole education system is a façade anyway.
Im very logically sound with a decent IQ. It comes as a package almost, that's why there is so much disparity in IQ scores.

    • @earthtaurus5515

I agree, don't think we are smarter intellectually, I guess the uploader was referring to how others process information and coming to what turns out to be clumsy solutions in the long term. Whereas the solutions we come up with tend to work out better in the long term perphaps it is because we're more focused on the people and how the solution works for them as opposed to forcing people to mould towards a perceived solution.

I am an INFJ. Ever since being a child I could feel deeply another's emotions. I would write letters to people dying and be told that it was like I was in their mind. I never felt brilliant as I was often told I was retarded. I believe that was due to being a female and also thinking outside the box. Because of that I decided to work with retarded children. It was there that the light came on like with Helen Keller. Her light with water mine tying a retarded child'ss shoe. It was then I Knew that I was not retarded. From there I took off flying. I got through to kids best with drama. I loved taking the kid that felt retarded and couldn't carry a tune and felt no confidence and give them a lead part. They would become excellent singers and confidence soar. I took all my weak spots and transformed them through my life's journey. As a bulllied child I took other bullied children and helped them gain confidence. It was rewarding to see the bully stop. I've led a lonely life as few understand me. However, I have felt gratified helping those in pain have comfort. I have often felt like I did not succeed as I had too many interests. I love googling. Since a child I loved asking questions. My goal was to always go deeper! This tape was very meaningful. Thank you.

Can totally relate. I seem to specialise is solving long beloved unresolvable problems. I think we don’t make assumptions others tend to do, by starting with understanding the basics and then building from there. Most only swim near the surface, where the bullcrap and problems are evident. Don’t assume, think. Think for yourself, forget what others think and say. Go deep.

You can only solve a problem by thinking differently to how others have thought about it. And don’t expect the answer to necessarily come from an ‘expert’ in the field concerned. Often breakthroughs come from outsiders, who are unconstrained and novel in their thinking. You can’t teach innovative thinking. I find it fascinating that those who are often seen as odd and/or outsiders are often those who make the greatest breakthroughs. ‘Different’ should be valued rather than mocked, because without it we would still be primitive people.

We also don't appreciate it when a person in authority on a subject (i.e. a teacher) telling an INFJ that it is not the time to discuss the details of the subject because it's considered to be "more advanced". This is the same as telling us that "you're not allowed to know that" and "I don't respect you enough to support your interest." This is especially true when we are very young. To us, it is the same as lying.

Girl of 28 here. My mom thinks i have asperger. I think this INTJ explains a lot of my traits. I don’t know if they are mutually excluisive. I don’t see asperger as a curse but as a gift, but i think i just have this personality type. Also i’m grown into this gradually. Before i tested as INTJ. I made the test 5 times over the last 8 years. The first two INTJ and now INFJ.
Life went rather well and everything always worked out for me, work related. (Under delivered in school tho). I’m in the design industry. Then i got in a difficult situation and met myself. My ego had to die to become what i am today. After experiencing that difficulty I met with the emotional part of my brain. Before i was so rational and that part always was on auto-pilot. I gained (emotional) depth and I am grateful for it.
It is indeed a gift to be able to see what another thinks or feels. I can easily filter out disingenuine people because what they say doesn’t match bodylanguage and/or expressions. Truly a pure gift. It only takes a toll on my battery. Figuring out everything in miliseconds. Keeping tabs on bodylangauge, expressions, what they say, what are the intentions/hidden agenda, how am i reactiong, how do i word everything, make eye-contact, what is my hand doing. I really have to charge up.
For me internally it is like beeing a walking contradiction. It’s like im torn in two extremes. Two extreme and opposite perspectives on every topic and than coming to a balanced opinion mostly in the middle and be aware that everything is a spectrum. We’ve just given things names to set boundaries and make life easier. See it as the color spectrum.
I also feel like my brain is made up in 50% analitical (intellectual) part of the brain (left i believe) and the other 50% is the creative (emotional) and trying to find a balance with that on a daily basis. And than the balanced conclusion you made about an topic, is decided over by the heart. The heart makes the final call.
Despite this INTJ beeing the ‘Advocate’, i gravitate in work towards architecture. Maybe it’s the INTJ part, but i have to be creative. What’s inside has to come out somehow. I think the architecture part is because, i think the best architects have to have a right balance between the analitical and creative.
In art for instance do i like MC Escher, but i think that tinckles the analitical part and Alex Grey that intrigues the creative side. And then there is everything inbetween.
I mostly like to have intellectualy stimulating conversations, but i miss that completly in the current population.
Please stay authentic all the way, whatever you do.

I know many love to praise the “INT” types for being the “most” intelligent, but INFJs want to be both logical & understanding. We give people chances that most others don’t, we understand others to a degree most never will, & we strive for truth and logic in our lives (most of us recognize our weaknesses and actively work to strengthen them). I would say, when our type is HEALTHY, we are the most well rounded type out there; both intelligent & empathetic.

I'm forgetful, I'm lazy... My life is a fantasy.
I haven't succeeded at anything in my whole life, I'm a failure..

You are! It all comes down to more experiences, reading and finding the dictionary a playground to language expansion to articulate in different ways.
Tell yourself, I am smart, and I'm gaining the knowledge as I learn through experience and practice.
We all had to learn to crawl & stand through practice, before walking and running.
      I believe in you❤
If you are self aware to call yourself lazy, what solution can be implemented to change that story and keep promises to your
      self discipline structure?
The more we keep promises to ourselves, the more trust & confindence in self rises.
      How?
      Consistently showing up for ourself.
Start with always, always making your bed before starting the day and keep adding and building on to that.
      Just a thought, and example.
