    As a INFJ I very much appreciate this video.
    However it’s not that we want to be right...
    it’s that we attempt to avoid being wrong...
    thus we are routinely intellectually cautious and yet under the right circumstances sometimes rather recklessly deliberately making mistakes in order to facilitate understanding more quickly.
    So long as the mistakes are affordable and not dangerous.
    We are perfectionists but we don’t want to be or believe that we are the smartest person in the room.
    Our intuition gives us a nonlinear cognitive function...
    and many people who lack a functioning intuition want our intuition to be a emotional reaction and irrational behavior rather than a logical cognitive function...
    As many people often claim that their emotional desire and emotional reactions and emotional wants are “intuition”... that’s not what intuition is... but it’s a common method of human behavior and human nature to claim that their “intuition” caused them to act thusly or whatever...
    So when some people recognize our nonlinear logical cognitive function and label it with whatever words that they are comfortable with using...
    Psychic, mind reader and so on and so forth...
    We have to interpret their beliefs and agendas into our thoughts and thinking.
    When they recognize our intelligence it enables us to facilitate their skills, abilities, knowledge and intelligence into the groups interests and objectives.
    Just as when people want us too fail for whatever reason... they are usually massively disappointed with their agendas and actions because they never recognized us for who we are and what we were actually doing and how we were actually going about it.
    We don’t want to be the strongest link in the chain...
    we want to support the weakest link in order to strengthen the chain.
    Everyone is important and everyone has value.

    • @paivirautiainen8760

    I generally sway away from calling myself intelligent, even when those around me disagree, mostly because I view intelligence as something that is relative and fluid, so I sometimes think that the information that I have now and the way I process things now may change, and compared to other people, simply because they may process things either faster, or slower does not mean that they are more, or less intelligent.

      Processing speed is factor but I would say that a better indicator is the resolution at which a mind can comprehend information.
      Stupid people have difficulty seeing nuance in reality. Smart people seem to grasp the subtle texture of aspects of existence that most people don't perceive.

    • @blktester
      @blktester 2 года назад +3

      There is a saying. Consider the source! Most people that consider me really smart, I've concluded are simply ignorant of the value various forms of knowledge provides. The majority of people believe once you graduate from whatever your highest level of education maybe, for some reason they don't need to learn anymore. It makes me cringe when someone tells me I'm one of the smartest people they know, when there is so much in the world one could know.

    true infj according to Carl Jung MBTI test...
    There is a difference between having a selective group of friends and not having no social skills or having awkward social skills. INFJ figure out how to be sociable which is why they are highly intelligent. They are confident so having small or deep conversations is easy for them. They read people so they know what they can talk about...because they know to be successful in life, you need to have good social skills. They figure out how to develop intuitive social skills and thus tend to be popular and successful in work and social settings. They are never bored because they have a rich creative internal life filled with art.
    so if you are an introvert who considers themselves socially awkward or unable to talk to humans...then you are not an INFJ

    I think objective intelligence should be measured according to who is the most well-rounded in not just #Thinking intelligence (IQ)... BUT also intelligent in #Feeling (EQ: Emotional Quotient), #Sensing (SQ: Sensory Quotient) and #Intuition (iQ: Intuitive Quotient)... l don't think one can measure ALL intelligence based on ONE quotient: Thinking (IQ: Intellectual Quotient).
    But what do l know, l'm just an INFJ 🤣

    • @z.e....3175
      @z.e....3175 2 года назад +2

      I AGREE!!
      Also, I have a theory that IQ is like only a measure of general intelligence of a certain individual. But if we were to play close attention to what they're good that, which is among the 9 other types of intelligences like Musical Intelligence and Kinesthetic Intelligence I think they will only measure one of these specific ones. Like Mozart, he has high musical intelligence but not Natural Intelligence.

    • @symix.
      @symix. 2 года назад +2

      @@z.e....3175 Uhh... IQ points _are_ actually measuring g-factor "general intelligence factor", so you dont need to theorize it doing that, because it already does it.
      But g-factor strongly correlates with all intelligences.

      Perhaps your only an INFJ who grew up in the environment you did. I was labeled with a neurodevelopmental order ADHD. For decades is was my intuitions glass ceiling for truly understanding myself. Finding MBTI located a master key to simultaneously open countless mental barriers at once. While doctors said I can only see myself through some obscured glass window, something wrong with you, the world needs you different more extroverted…. Take two of these and call me in the morning give me time to not care about your understanding of yourself and everything you think, feel, and are. I was a mislead kid labeled HSP with ADHD trapped unaware in an intangible cocoon I didn’t create. Instantly when this pattern was exposed I meteorically awoken metamorphosing beyond my all preconceived notion’s implanted by people in a position a trust. Becoming what I have always unknowingly been an INFJ -A Super Empath. INFJ defines me with uncanny level s of accuracy previously unbelievable to me could ever exist. I was found, and findable. A breath of fresh air to find out I’m not as different as I’m aware I am. Hope this was helpful in some way.

      I think the criteria for labeling someone “autistic” has perhaps widened too far and swept up many who simply have an INFJ personality (which most of the “world” doesn’t understand, so they’ve decided such rare people MUST be “neurodivergent.” 🙄)

  • @blktester
    @blktester 2 года назад +4

    I appreciate and agree with most of the topics, but not necessarily with the conclusions. Like enjoyment, I personally find great enjoyment in successfully completing my goals, which are both long term and short term. Making friends, what really! The conclusion seems to forget we are not one of those people that need people, introverted. Being introverted makes being alone especially after interacting with other people like heaven on earth. Thinking so much, about every interaction, circumstance or situation is an intellectual process that elevates our mindset. It isn't a burden which seems to be the implication. I can only speak for myself, but finding out I was an INFJ, 4 years ago was a blessing. I knew I was different and tended to be more well read than most people (even in the workplace) and I often wondered why people seemed to be so willfully ignorant in general. Learning I was an INFJ also gave me understanding why Spock in the Star Trek series was always my favorite character. LIVE LONG AND PROSPER.

      Creativity creates, and if something is created it did not exist previously.
      If it were so there would be no innovations, from the wheel to the printing press. Just by connecting existing ideas, or using what exists diffrently, something new is being created.

    There is no such thing as an emotional quotient or emotional intelligence these are made up buzzwords that have not been proven to exist.
    Social calibration is controlled by environmental factors and is a learned behavior. Anyone can learn to be socially aware and competent in social environments with regards to interactions with people.
    No amount of practice training or education will make a person more intelligent, just more knowledgeable and there is a very important distinction between the two.
    This kind of misinformation is harmful and causes people to have an incorrect idea about the nature of the intelligence quotient with regards to cognitive capacity.

      Intelligence is kind of a broad term. I think you can become more intelligent in some ways. It really depends on what you mean by intelligence. I know diet and lifestyle can play a role in cognitive abilities.

      @@SantanaBanana47 Not really. Intelligence is defined along three key forms of problem solving:
      Well defined problems (book smarts).
      Poorly defined problems (street smarts)
      Problems requiring inovation (creativity).
      Social awareness would best fall under street smarts but as I said before it is a learned behavior that can be taught to a person of average or below average intelligence.
      That is why it is a very important to be accurate in defining terms. Understanding the distinction between intelligence and knowledge is also very important as intelligence refers to the resolution at which the brain can comprehend a problem whereas knowledge refers to the information within the brain.
      It is true that diet and certain external factors can affect intelligence to a small degree but intelligence quotient is defined by genetic traits that are inherited and are static.
      No amount of healthy living will affect a person's intelligence quotient by a significant degree. You have what you're born with and it doesn't change appreciably.

      You are assuming that everyone can learn to be more emotionally sensitive. WRONG assumption. Emotions are feelings and feelings are derived from our perceptions with regards to any given circumstance. If one's perception is logically based the emotional perception is lower. For example, some people live for the moment, these people tend to be more emotional (not that there's anything wrong with that way of life), and others live to achieve goals and that gives their lives meaning. Like myself, so I tend to view things less emotionally and more logically. I've been this way all my life and only took the MB personality test 4 years ago. Not everyone is comfortable being emotional so the degree for being emotional can't be learned by circumstance because it would be rejected mentally. There are some things in human beings that make us individuals among many. Emotional quotient is one of them. As for being with what you have, if emotions have anything to do with intelligence it could be the desire to learn, the feeling of wanting to know or understand our world, how man has affected it and exists in it. And ultimately, what we have learned in the process.

      @@blktester it is important to maintain accurate distinctions between emotional regulation (one's ability to control how they manifest their emotional state through observable behavior), social calibration (one's ability to effectively navigate social situations and awareness of what is considered appropriate and inappropriate in a given social circle), and emotional awareness (one's ability to read other people's emotional states through observable behavior)
      Owen Cook is an excellent example of an ENFP who through training and practice has gained public speaking skills that allow him to maintain the attention of a crowd and control perception. He comes across much more composed and structured than most enfps usually do and discusses his topic material in a highly analytical manner.
      Jordan Peterson is an INTP and while they are typically known for having very awkward and limited social skills he has an excellent public speaking presence and can engage his students in a charismatic manner.
      I've encountered intjs on social media who despite their very limited ability to express emotion can come across as charming and charismatic because they've learned to analyze social responses.
      All these examples have one thing in common: Learned behavior.
      Once again I emphasize that it's important to understand the distinction between intelligence quotient, which is an innate quality and social calibration, which is a skill set.
      If emotional intelligence existed as a measurable quotient then it would be a quality that is impossible to teach to people since it would be innate to each individual.
      "Emotional intelligence" is a product of experience and knowledge. It is true that different personality types have an easier or harder time with it than others, but all types can learn it. That's why you'll encounter istps and istjs who are competent comedians, and you also find isfjs enfps enfjs esfjs and esfps who are socially awkward and struggle with their interactions with people.
      Emotional intelligence is not a valid term because it is not an innate quality.
      No one can be taught to be a super genius.
      Anyone can be taught on how to interact with people.

      @@SantanaBanana47 Intelligence is the collection of knowledge utilized once the knowledge is comprehended. If knowledge isn't used it is forgotten. The human mind doesn't retain knowledge like a CPU, it fades if idle. On the other hand what is emotional intelligence, I'm aware of emotional sensitivity, but intelligence is a mental function not an emotional feeling.
