This young pianist has to go very far. His musical language and technical precision is almost unmatched. Definitely for this piece. I hope he will work on more Liszt pieces in the future as it seems it fits his style. It's a joy to listen to him, so inspiring. It's not only his speed or technique, his musical ideas are great, he really feels the music as well.
it's amazing what people can do when pushed to the edge. but often not good for them personally. hope this guy finds a good outlet for his amazing ability.
It’s like paganini/liszt driven motivation to reach yourself to this level, where the only person you’ll ever outclass now is yourself, like selling your soul to the devil fr
To anyone wondering why he deleted his channel : he now assumes his name and identity and does not wish to be referred to as LDF. He also cut his hair to show furthermore his transformation, as seen in his Feinberg 3. And to all people wondering why he doesn't play as good on stage as in recordings, it's because he has enormous stage anxiety, to the point where it's become a disease. He's a perfectionist and always wants to play perfectly but since he's so anxious he'll rush a lot when live, but when he's in a recording studio after some attemps he'll forget his anxiety and play more freely. I know this because he's the friend of one of my friends in my conservatory. That said friend showed me a non-published recording of 4b which was better than the versions of the 2 competitions he attended.
I don't even come close to his technical skills, but I wouldn't trade fate with him. No matter how fast , and perfect he can play the piano, I'm pretty sure the dude is half-hearted . It shows in his facial expression. There's something wrong with him. (as with Evgeni Kissin) but Kissin's career was more fortunate. If I could play the piano as fast as Yi-Chung Huang, I would record the 24 Chopin Etudes faster than anyone has ever played. He could beat Sokolov too.
he deleted his account for some reason a couple weeks ago on youtube & instagram that i know, i tried looking for his account even with the link but it said "this account does not exist anymore" so...
@@t8RKfUsBPeA If I remember correctly, LaDivinaFanatic was his second account. Pianists like Hamelin don't doubt the authenticy of his online performances, and you should see him play in live competitions. His playing there is a lot more crazy than here, and impossible to fake. Anyways I personally believe someone with his personality would never take such shortcuts.

It really is.
One of the best performances ever made in the history of music, period. Thank you, Yi-Chung Huang.
Yeah, it's close to unparalleled in terms of sheer virtuosity. Pretty monumental.
I third that. I’ve listened to it hundreds (not an exaggeration) of times over the last several months. Well done and thank you
