@@deet4895 don't get me wrong the K20Z3 is still a pretty damn potent motor and with bolt ons is still pretty quick car. And if you have the $$ you can swap the suspension setup of the FD2 to the USDM FA5 Si as well I've seen it on the 8th gen Civic forums.

You need to add a disclaimer warning of the dangers of adding too many Type-R stickers. I put fifteen on my project car that doesn't have an engine and I got a speeding ticket.

on the same boat about the red badging and type r badges on non type r cars. my USDM Acura RSX Type-S gots its USDM badges removed and I decided to put the DC5 iS badges instead and since my DC5 is a USDM Type-S, the JDM TypeS badge was the perfect alternate to the R badge. and was even more pricey actually. haha go figure. I simply really felt that the Acura (Honda luxury brand) didn't fit my DC5. Honda Integra Type-S is its rightful name.
Early (00-01) JDM S2000s had filled red badges so there's zero issue with putting one on an S2000. Even if there wasn't, I see no issue with it. It's not the same as straight up putting a Type-R badge (That says Type-R) on a non Type-R or an M badge on a non M BMW. You can just think the red badge looks better. An M5 badge is without a doubt saying this car is not what it is. A red badge is saying it's a Honda. If you think those look better, and YOU put it on for that reason and not to make people think you have a type-R there is nothing wrong with that at all. But like I said, if you're still not ok with that, Honda has put red badges on non-Type Rs so they themselves never stuck with the Type R exclusivity. People get way too caught up in that. Also, the S2000 red badges are smaller which is another reason it can look better (Smaller than US badges at least, don't know about the later JDM non-red filled badges). That being said, I'll admit I associated red badge with Type-R. My point is that what matters is what the owner's intentions were, they shouldn't care if someone else thinks they are trying to make people think they have a Type-R. And you can just mention how they used it on the S2000. I suppose there is an argument to be made that because the red badge was used on Honda's F1 and other racing cars and Type-R cars they made later that it is still only for special cars. Point remains, putting one on your S2000 is fine, it had those from the factory before, it's a very special car, and even has a gauge cluster inspired by the McLaren F1 cars so it makes sense to have a red badge on it. The red badge is for special Hondas, but I give anyone who uses it a pass since it simply replaces the stock Honda badge and can show your car is a Honda in what you believe is a better looking way.
I don’t think red emblems came from the factory on models that were not Type R. On the S2000, I believe the red filled emblem was only on the red body. In order to match the the specific body colour. Same as Albo’s yellow emblem on yellow body. I understand your opinion on personal taste. This is just our thinking
