Your facts might be right, but I don't think PBS was so particular about singing for Rajkumar in the early part of his career, because even Rajkumar was a newbie at that time. Also I heard that others (like Kalyan Kumar) had equal (in fact Kalyan Kumar at one point had more) stardom compared to Rajkumar. Perhaps PBS was trying to find all chances in his early struggling days. Yes later on, Rajkumar/PBS combo became critical for everyone (Rajkumar himself, PBS & also all the listeners/fans). Maybe PBS's humbleness after what happened to Raj's stardom later on and he felt his association with Rajkumar was such a special thing. But still if PBS had really felt in the beginning itself that his voice suits to Raj perfectly then it was great ability/guess by him! It would have been interesting if we heard from PBS himself on this...

Initially when Dr Raj started singing for himself after SampathIge sawal, we in fact disliked him replacing PBS. We were so much addicted to PBS singing for Dr Raj that PBS suited him more than his own voice. And as you said sir, clarity of kannada language in PBS singing matched the clarity of Dr Raj dialogue delivery.
Rajkumar & PBS are two different genre, Rakumar sings very well in High pitch voice, and so romantic, so, emotional, if PBS sings, it will be melogies, but, not emotional, Rajkumar may be as an actor making the songs so intensive.

Your facts might be right, but I don't think PBS was so particular about singing for Rajkumar in the early part of his career, because even Rajkumar was a newbie at that time. Also I heard that others (like Kalyan Kumar) had equal (in fact Kalyan Kumar at one point had more) stardom compared to Rajkumar. Perhaps PBS was trying to find all chances in his early struggling days. Yes later on, Rajkumar/PBS combo became critical for everyone (Rajkumar himself, PBS & also all the listeners/fans). Maybe PBS's humbleness after what happened to Raj's stardom later on and he felt his association with Rajkumar was such a special thing.
But still if PBS had really felt in the beginning itself that his voice suits to Raj perfectly then it was great ability/guess by him! It would have been interesting if we heard from PBS himself on this...
I had video of an interview of Dr.P.B.Sreenivas wherein he himself admitted that he had requested.Raj kumar.unfortunately one day in a sleepy mood I deleted about 43 GB data.I have a doubt that even that video was in that.Still I am searching for that video.If I get that surely I would send that to you.

Initially when Dr Raj started singing for himself after SampathIge sawal, we in fact disliked him replacing PBS. We were so much addicted to PBS singing for Dr Raj that PBS suited him more than his own voice. And as you said sir, clarity of kannada language in PBS singing matched the clarity of Dr Raj dialogue delivery.
Rajkumar & PBS are two different genre, Rakumar sings very well in High pitch voice, and so romantic, so, emotional, if PBS sings, it will be melogies, but, not emotional, Rajkumar may be as an actor making the songs so intensive.
Both are great singers...
