White Out goes back to Penn State Football Games. It was originally meant to keep Nebraska fans from drowning out Happy Valley in Red when they came to visit.

In 2002 they had a big home game against Nebraska and were expecting a lot of Cornhuskers fans to travel up, and since Nebraska’s team color is red Nittany Lions boosters launched “Operation Visine,” telling fans to wear white to the game and “get the red out.” It was a huge success, not only was there record attendance but the Lions won in a 40-7 blowout, and they’ve been doing it a couple times a season ever since.

The "All-White" or "white-out" is a very common occurrence in the US and Canada in hockey and college football or basketball with different sections of the arena or stadium sometimes being assigned a color to create a pattern in the home team's colors.

Traditional Samoan funerals have guests and family dress in all white. Check out footage of roman at and of the funeral for Sika. There is no psychological factor to a stadium all wearing the same shirts.. its just a visual aspect to make the stadium & fans look good. Most teams that do color-outs in the playoffs get torched.

I've been to a thousand house shows, but I've only been to one televised event which was a Raw in 2016 (the episode with the swamp fight between the Wyatt Family and New Day) and Summerslam is on my birthday weekend this year and only a 3.5 hour drive. I've also never been able to see CM Punk wrestle live, and he's been my favorite since I saw him in a magazine before he signed for WWE. I'm so stoked!

I was at Smackdown last night. They said everyone gets a towel when leaving. Well, they ran out of them. Myself and many others didn't get one.

In my experience, 99% of wrestling fans only own black t-shirts.
At the end of the show last night they gave out very cheap white hand towels w/ the WWE logo printed on them, as everyone exited the arena.

Neyland Stadium (UT Vols) has a checkered orange and white. The ticket tells you what color to wear based on your section.
