Good morning. When garlic turns a blueish green colour is when an enzyme breaks down, it is safe to eat. It can happen when you pickle garlic, the enzyme is called allicin. It is not mold so no need to throw out the garlic. I like the way you are thinking these days. I have started to think that I only have so much time in a day, and I can only do so much. So I am not pushing myself to do so much even when I am at work. What gets done gets done everything else will get done the next day. Love your channel and have learned a lot from you and Aaron. You should feel definitely blessed to have no humidity when it’s so hot. I can walk outside and do NOTHING when it’s in the 80’s and break a sweat. I TRY to do most of the harder garden chores in the spring when the temps are in the 60’s and low 70’s . In the fall it’s our rainy season so it’s very hard to get outside when the temperatures are cooler so in the spring I HAVE to work like a crazy person to get any major things done or I’m out of luck and have to wait until the following spring. 🌺💚🙃

We here in Vegas are welcoming 108 this upcoming week as a "cool down" after days of 116 plus. My garden is about half dead despite babying everything with extra water, shading etc. Anyway, we gardeners all have our challenges. :)

I would love all shade too! I’m in Pittsburgh PA, our property only has one and small tree 😮 3 years ago we planted four trees and slowly getting shade….still need more!😂

I’m doing the math on Laura and Aaron being married 18 years, and she’s 32, then had to back it up three times to read the words on the screen when he agreed with her. So many things to love about these two in addition to loving their beautiful gardens. ❤

OMG! I’m so happy to learn that I have the “limited edition” Garden Answer logo green kneeling pad!!! I might have to order another kneeling pad and frame my logo one. It’s going to be worth something someday! 😂 Also loved the tip about using two kneeling pads - genius!

I watch another channel where the viewers are disappointed in the current content. I feel bad for the creators, because they still put effort into creating. The viewers complain.
I really appreciate the two of your disposition. When you have nasty viewers comment, you address it and then just tell them to move on.
I hope the other couple will grow into the confidence you two do.

Aaron and Laura at the Chicago Botanic Garden we enjoy the greenhouses year round by whitewashing the roof glass each April. It is a quick process and prevents leaf burn while moderating summer temps. Maybe this would help you. Much love Gin

I made pickles from homegrown cucumbers this year and the garlic turned blue in the jars. I looked it up and it is a normal chemical reaction, harmless, and considered a delicacy in China!

I wish I was more like Laura. Definitely the personality of very successful person. I have no problem at all shutting down and doing nothing. But I also have no kids or spouse. But I do like to do something in my garden every day.

I grew up on a dairy farm and my dad had a big tank with salt tablets to soften the water. He ran it for all the years we had a dairy barn. It looked like a huge water heater. Didn't take up much space. We used a lot of water

You really need to do the Strengths Finder self assessment. Laura, my guess is your number one strength is Achiever. This is your personality trait that motivates the rest of us as well! Thank you for what you do! 💚💚💚🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
