I bought 3 of these Brave 4 cams for a project that I'm working on, and they definitely get the job done. I still got a new main camera (Sony ZV-E10), but they're perfect as side cams or as a walk-around cam.
If you were to connect an hdmi cable to your TV you can stream the content from the camera’s SD card. How long this would be would depend on the size of the card and the resolution of the content.
Thanks for the run down on all the accessories. I couldn't find anything on it anywhere else and was just playing lego with it before you listed what they all were. There's a flash sale that happened on Amazon this past week that was selling the Brave Pro 4 for $87.99 US. Decided to bite the bullet on it for freediving/hiking purposes. I lost a phone through water damage with a bad case and felt like that was a lesson learned. Also rather have hands free options hiking instead of having my digital rangefinders weighing me down.
I am happy you found the video useful. I don't usually do product reviews on my channel. But Akaso approached for a review of the camera and I thought I would give it a go. A very capable little action camera at this price point.
Yes, it was a very cold day when I filmed that video. We are just entering the Autumn season up here in the great white north the leaves are changing but still have lots of outdoor fun to be had. Thanks for your interest in the channel. 🇨🇦👍
Thanks for your comment. As you can see by my channel I am shooting mostly outside. I will be doing another video on the this camera on colour grading using Davinci Resolve. I am just waiting for a day with good lighting.
Davinci can seem a bit daunting at the beginning. I have been using it for just over a year. The good news there a lots of great resources on RUclips to lead you through it. Black Magic Design also has free tutorials to teach you the basics that have been recently updated. The main RUclipsrs I use are Casey Faris, MrAlexTech and Jason Yadlovski. I strongly recommend that you watch some tutorials before you start editing, it will save you time. It is a great piece software fully functional.... and free to use.
I tested this and unfortunately there is no way to change the camera from photo to video after it is in the case. The supplied remote can take video or photo without changing the mode on the camera.... but the remote is not waterproof and is only splash proof. I hope this helped and thank you for your interest in my channel.
@@BikeBoatandTravel alright.. Thank you your reply sir.. Think so, i can use my remote to change mode video to photos.. It verry important function on action camera.. But akaso dont fit that.. Verry disappointed.
Howdies CS... Thanks for your excellent vid. I see that you actually converse with your viewers. That's nice! A question please. Does one of the little freebie extras allow to hook the little camera up to an old fashioned camera screw tripod? I still have the one I purchased to use with my Pentax K1000 camera about 2 lifetimes ago. The answer to this is about the only thing holding me off. I'd appreciate the holler! Your fan in Alabam, Norm
Hello, and thanks for you comment. If you scroll to around the 3 to 4 minute area of the video you will see a mount for a tripod. You will have to have the camera mounted in that clip on housing as the camera does not mount directly to the accessory mounts. Thanks for your interest in the channel. 👍🇨🇦
Hello back to you Mr. @@BikeBoatandTravel. I studied what you showed pretty well. I guess I'll just have to get it into my paws to finish the job. Well, the camera is supposed to be here tomorrow. I'll have to see for it! Again, super thankees for the reply.
Within their price point you cannot go too far wrong with AKASO. There are some quirks with e software sometimes but over all I have good results. Thanks for your interest in my channel.
I would say that you probably changed on of the setting accidentally. there are several that could produce excess brightness or glare. My advice would be to go into the settings of the camera and reset everything back to factory default and try some test clips.

Hello canun-spyder. Thank you for the good review. I bought the camera to get whide angle views but i was not able to change the settings. I looked many reviews and was already done to throw it in the trash.... Your video was the only one that said " you can't change the angle when image stabilization is on" I think it's sad for an action camera to not be able to have wide angles with image stabilization. That's what it was made for...
I also found that to be a bad point of the camera. There is one thing I usually do before I buy. I download the user manual and read through it to get a better understanding of the pros and cons of the camera before. Thanks for your comment and your interest in my channel.
@@mattmatt2417 all of that is done in the post production software I use to edit my videos DaVinci Resolve. Sometimes I am layering the clip from the different clip and sometimes I am using the multi-cam feature in the software. Thanks for your comment.

This was just delivered today. Curious on how the audio quality. I watched your video but I bought this to record band videos and specifically a show we have next month. Did I make a mistake?
I don’t think the built in microphone on this camera is going to give you very good results capturing live music. I only use these action cameras for voice and even then I tend to use an external mic.
The operational features look similar. The only major difference is that the V50X does not have a front screen. Thanks for your interest in the channel.
If you are not concerned about audio it would be OK. The reason is that this camera does not have wind noise reduction. I would recommend that you look at Akaso’s V50 series also. Thanks for your comment and your interest in the channel.

You can edit the videos on your computer. The recorded files are stored on a memory card that you transfer to your computer for editing. If you do not want the audio on your videos you can delete the audio portion from the files after you transfer them to your computer. I use the copyright free music from You Tube in my videos.
