    God I have to win these with another picture - thanks for the 2nd place last month!
    My lady is now 2 weeks away from buying her ordered 88 Santa Annas in a 172 but a 177 Enforcer 100 sounds like so much of a better idea (for me)
    Awesome as usual - and thank you for the Enforcer 88 review last year - I love my 179s as my everyday ski!

    I’m 5’9, 210lbs with an athletic build. I’m a beginner/confident intermediate skier who spends most time on groomed runs here in AZ and CO, but I tend to ski aggressively and am looking for something stable, yet agile and can hold a good edge for strong cuts and turns. I have been looking into the Vokl mantra m5, the Enforcer 93, and the K2 mindbender 90ti, all in the 170-177 range. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance, you guys are awesome!

    It's funny, I can pretty well tell when Bob is following Jeff and vice-versa. When Jeff is behind the camera, he's pretty much skiing straight to keep up with Bob who's ripping carving turns. When Bob is behind the camera, he's carving pretty hard to not leave Jeff in the dust. I feel your pain Bob. I'm 6'3" 290lb and occasionally follow my 5'0" 115lb wife down the slopes with a camera. It's great carving practice. LOL

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  4 года назад +2

      Haha, yeah, the weight difference is a factor sometimes. Mostly on flatter terrain or on windy days. Usually if I'm right behind Bob filming, however, I'm in some kind of weird half-power-wedge position. It's a technique I've spent years perfecting ;)

    Great review guys. I won’t get chance to test these before I sink my hard earned. But I’ve read a ton of good reviews about them.
    I’m 6ft/183cm tall, 68kg/150lbs.
    I think I’m going to plumb for the 185 length. Do you have any recommendation?

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  4 года назад

      If you're a relatively advanced skier and you like to ski fast, 185 cm is a blast. 177 cm would work too if you don't feel like you need the stability at speed.

    Hey i have a question
    Is it possible to remove those earpads in the Poc Fornix helmet? And if yes howwww?

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  4 года назад +1

      Yes, you should be able to remove them. First take the straps and pull them out of the loops on the ear pads so they're just connected to the helmet, not the pads. After that you should be able to just grab the pad and pull/rotate it forward and it'll come right out. They just snap back in after that if you want them back in. Just don't lost them, that's happened to me ;)

    Thanks for another great review!
    I'm choosing between 100s and 104. How much groomer performace would you say that i'll loose with the 104? Having a hard time choosing. I do love to smearm juno betwee bumps, skiing trees. But I also like carving groomers at high speed.
    I'm also not quite sure which length to go with. I'm 5"5 (167) and advanced. I have a pair of 177cm QST 92 that I got from a friend and find them a bit long. However there's quite a bit more rocker in the 104s for example. Is it wise to size down to the 172? Or 169 if I go for the 100s?

    • @silverback1518
      @silverback1518 4 года назад +1

      Arvid Lundgren I’m 5’6” 179#. Manufacturers don’t seem to have us in mind when they make men’s skis. I suggest you find out what is the shortest men’s ski any manufacturer makes....especially over 90 wide. It works best for me. I’ve been skiing a long time and 170 is as long as I want to ski.

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  4 года назад

      You do loose some groomer performance between the two, but if you spend a lot of time in bumps and trees, the 104 could be better for you. It kind of depends on what you're looking for. The Enforcer 100 is awesome on trail, completes a turn really well, and you can still ski it in the woods and bumps just fine. The 104 is just easier and more fun off trail, it doesn't have the same feel as the 100 when you're finishing a carve or skiing super fast, but it's still pretty darn good on trail. For length, yeah, I'd go 169 or 172 respectively, that's plenty of ski for your size.

    Thanks for these great, detailed reviews. I'd love to hear a discussion on choosing length. I'm looking at these or the 93. I'm 5'11" 150lbs, west coast. I'm used to skiing 175, so 180 sounds a bit long and 172 a tad short. Thoughts?

      @@lrac66 I thought that might have been the case! If you go Rustler, get the 180 cm. The rocker profile makes it really manageable in longer lengths. So, Enforcer - 177, Rustler 10 - 180.

    I recently snapped my faction prodigy 2.0 and am looking for a new one ski quiver. I live in the midwest but travel west roughly 2x per year and want a ski that can cover it all. I ski aggressive and want something stable in high speeds. Do you think this is the ski for me and if so what size do you recommend. I am 5'8'', 195lbs and would say I am an advance skier.Thanks!

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  3 года назад +1

      Do you need a twin tip? I only ask because you mention you're coming off the Prodigy 2.0. If you've decided you don't, then yes, Enforcer 100 would be perfect. Stable at speed, good for aggressive skiers, and versatile for different terrain. If you decide you do want a twin tip, Enforcer 104 would be the way to go.

    Is it possible to compare the enforcer 100 to ranger 107 ti ? On groomer and powder please ? For skiing fast and better charging ? Thanks

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  3 года назад

      The closer comparison would be the Enforcer 100 to the Ranger 99 Ti, which is a pretty close comparison to be honest. The Ranger 99 feels a little lighter in terms of swing weight and I think a touch more maneuverable in soft snow both due to the weight and a slightly more pronounced tip rocker profile. Enforcer 100 feels a little more damp, arguably more powerful, although both are quite powerful skis. Groomers and firm snow I'd give the edge to the Enforcer 100. Slower speed maneuverability in deep conditions I think the Ranger is a touch easier, but it's honestly a toss up, both are great skis. The 107 actually feels a little burlier than the 99 in the Ranger series just because it's wider and thus has more mass, but it still falls into a similar description in terms of overall feel as the 99.

    Wich one is better for (short) touring/skinning adventures, the free 104 or the 100?

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  3 года назад

      I'd go with the 104 if you're choosing between the two. A little bit lighter core, and the tail rocker makes them more fun in softer snow, and more forgiving in variable conditions.

    • @SkiEssentials

    Hey, i am trying to figure out what skis i should get. I almost never ski onpiste, i prefer to ski offpiste in powder or in quite technical forrest areas. Can i use something like bent chetler as "freeride" skis? Or should i aim for something like the enforcer 104? The snow we have varies alot.

    • @tomtellem
      @tomtellem 4 года назад

      I think I'm the same type of skier as you seem to be. I got the bentchetler 100 last season and they are perfect for me. Incredible performance in powder but also in pretty much all other conditions off Piste. They are also really fun on Piste (even bad conditions) and especially in the park.

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  4 года назад

      Hey Oliver! If you're almost never on-piste, yeah, a ski like the Bent Chetler is great! The Enforcer 104 is similar, but it's heavier as there's metal in its construction. That gives it more stability at speed, although the BC 100 is a little easier to flick around. So, in other words, both skis would be appropriate for what you're looking to do, just kind of depends on how you ski and how you want your skis to perform.

    6’2 185 lbs experienced and aggressive skier, what length should I buy them and would it be worth it to buy these if I also have the Nordica Enforcer 93’s?

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  3 года назад

      The 93 and 100 are definitely pretty similar. Same shape, same turn radius, same rocker profile, etc. Just a 7 mm width difference. I think you're probably best off with the 185 cm length. We have some skiers on our staff around your size who went longer to the 193, but ultimately went back to the 185, and some of those guys are heavier than you. You could consider a ski like the Enforcer 104, however, if you wanted a bigger range in performance. More soft snow performance in the 104, easier edge release, etc. Hope that helps!

      from what I´ve seen and read, the 104 is just a more playful ski with less carving potential, not super allround, goes more in the Free segment, as the name says... While the 100 is more suited for groomers and deep snow aswell, but a bit more stiff and more suited for groomers... I´d take the 100 if you ski at least 50% on groomers... • @SkiEssentials

      That's a popular comparison! We've touched on that in our comparison series videos before.
