Yeah - interesting backstory, terrifying power. The power provided a genuine tactical challenge to many super heroes. The backstory provided interesting opportunities for storytelling. I suppose, though, defying death for so long means Deadly Earnest could never truly be written off as gone forever.
i feel like it would be cool to tell a story including all of the "immortal" characters in the marvel universe and another unlikely villain. where they collect the immortal characters and do something sinister to them, with them. for an unpredictable result. one would assume that it was to gain some kind of awesome power over life and death. it wasnt about himself. it was about realizing that they were all comic book characters and the industry determined the life or existence of a character based on "sales". so his scheme was to bring life to a stagnant industry by infusing mortality to ALL characters in the marvel universe. because the only way to appreciate life is to introduce death. the only way to give life meaning is to allow things a season to grow and a season to pass. so when a character dies, they stay dead. and no one has plot armor. which allows a new byproduct. writers introduce a set of rules that cant be broken and everyone has a specific and firm set scale or range of abilities so that you cant control who wins or loses by making a character stronger than they are actually capable of becoming. a more realistic take on the super hero fantasy genre. i mean how can you tell a story and get people to care about the characters if theres nothing to lose cause they cant lose. just a thought. i think it would be cool, but its not like marvel will ever do this lol.
Please make those pictures more clear🙏
Earnest was a cool villain that was gone too soon.
