That’s partially because today the Republican Party has ditched any remaining diplomatic nuance for power driven populism. Trump is not the root cause but he certainly made things go from bad to worse. A president that tweets like he did during his term is simply not going to calm hints down. All of them unique and not comparable. You can't say that one country has the least flaws and is therefore the best - It may have less in quantity, but more in severity. There is no way to measure the single greatest country in the world, and that's the way it will always be.
