The vintage stereo bit me hard 2 years ago and I'm still infected. My collection has started to occupy my summer home in Md because I'm running out of space. Everything I have can be displayed and listened to. Now I'm buying non working pieces on ebay and fixing them. I love it!
Great video. I enjoyed it. Never stop with this great hobby. I always was a radio listener myself. On air FM. The AM / FM stereo tuners. I love it. And CD? Best format ever.... In my opinion. And tapes, lots of tapes! Note: I turned of comments entirely on my channel. Only insults, crazy irrelevant BS and hate! It just doesn't make sense to keep it open for comments. Anyways, keep those vids coming! Great channel!
@@PhilipsN2552 thank you! FM will always hold a special place with me! And i would agree with the CDs man!! As for the haters, you will have them on any social media platform. I just ignore them.
My Dad also bought a Fisher System in early 1986 when i was 2.5 yrs old it had the CA 283 Amp that you did a video on it a few yrs ago. So that stereo also has sentimental value to me. I remember having a kid's Cassette Recorder was the first audio thing I've had i think i had a kid's record player also but i think that broke probably my fault Lol. then i remember having an Emerson Walkman AM/FM Cassette I remember listening to tapes my dad made with Classic rock on them like Boston, Heart, Foghat, Elton John. I still have the two that he made on Maxell Cassette. then i had a GPX mono cassette radio the sound was not that good & the radio reception was terrible but i still have it. then after that i had many boomboxes & walkman's when i was around 10 my dad put the Fisher stereo in my room for awhile while our basement was getting finished the first CD i played was Toy's in the Attic. but my first stereo I had i was around 12 yrs old someone gave me was a 1980 Sanyo receiver with Sanyo tape deck & KLH speakers only thing was only 1 channel worked on the receiver so we just wired both speakers together. so it was mono only.
@@vladix-ty5sz absolutely. Nearly all of them are still good. Easiest way to get them if to join a group called The Quadraphonic Underground on facebook, and Quad Traders. Between the 2 of them, all my transfers are there. Otherwise we can exchange email and i can send you the download links that way.
Your parents sound amazing. It’s awesome they encouraged your hobby. Mine were the same way.
@@Brad_Bane yea man i definitely got lucky in that department

@@fb6performance271 definitely addicting! Get them while you can because eventually, they wont be readily available anymore.

I just picked up an 80's Magnavox all in one at a yard sale for $5
Good feeling that is, I know. Although where I live now again since last two years, that does not happen anymore.
Hey do remember back in the mid 90s and Class H technology on Technics Receivers?

@@stereomann83 always fun looking back on our audio journeys, we all had to start somewhere!
@@rockrollhi-figuy6824 yeah it is fun I'm sure we could go on for hours. I enjoyed hearing your story.
So, about those 8 track quad transfers... do you still have the links? I'm interested
