Have you taken a look at the Barnett Wildcat CRX? It’s a fun 280fps recurve going for $200. I bought one about a month ago and getting 263fps with 450 grains. Comes with a good red/green dot. Really accurate and on par with my vertical compound.
Cool man. I don't think you made a bad decision. I wish I would have gotten the one I saw on Amazon. I sent my Hyper Raptor back because the cables were starting to fray. I waited several months to buy that bow and it still had the cable issues. I bought the Barnett TS380 instead. It's a good bow. I actually like it better than the Hyper Raptor. I have 3 Barnett crossbows now. Thanks for sharing.
Sorry to hear about the string issues! Hate to hear that! I’m hoping the bcx raptor is better ! I do think the under 400fps might be better most of the time
Hey bud good video but you need a chronograph in order to be able to see exactly how fast these crossbows shoot they say it shoots 380 but I guarantee you it don't the arrows that come with it aren't any good I've had those arrows you can't get three to hit the same spot they're cheap I've got a vital X Killer Instinct crossbow that they claim shoot 405 ft per second and with a 400 grain Arrow I'm getting 387 so none of their crossbows shoot the speeds that they claim that they do
I was hoping the accuracy issue was the wind . Will definitely be testing that out more. As far as speed Its fast but yeah your right I can’t give an exact speed. What arrows do you end up using with yours? I’m wondering about using the Barnett headhunters . Got to look into it more. Thanks for the comment really appreciate it!
I ended up shooting the Black Eagle arrows out of my crossbow they shoot really good their spine tested and they all hit the same spot I highly recommend the Black Eagle arrows to anybody that's shooting a crossbow
Killer instinct like all other companies use a 370 grain arrow for speed testing. That's why a 400 grain arrow will not hit 405, shoot a 370 grain arrow and it will shoot 405. Get rid of that Vital X. They are crap bows and the plastic rail is very prone to warping. Heat makes it worse. Check out crossbow nation if you don't believe me
You know, now I've heard of them. Risers like that being warping from the factory when they make them. But I've never heard of anybody getting one than it warping Over time. Well, I'm glad I don't have all the problems you guys have or I would probably just quit archery hunting all together. I've gotta vital X works really good. I got raven crossbows that works Really good i'm just glad I don't have all the problems

No crossbow will cost what the sticker price is. Most crossbow packages come with horrible scopes and arrows that needs to be upgraded asap
