No filtering or accelerating experiment. Is it Safer?
RJ stickers are now available to purchase. shop.reel.tv
All proceeds, after costs are donated to charity. For more info see my FaceBook page: / royaljordanian900r Авто/Мото
i agree with you RJ, I feel it's far safer to get away from traffic than to 'be the traffic'… We can't filter here in TX, but I sometimes do when it's over 100° outside and don't have water with me to cool down. I also try and get to the front when stuck at a red light if Im only a car or two back, and ALWAYS look behind me when coming to a stop, many times I've had to move forward (into the gap I intentionally left) to avoid being rear-ended. I hope we can get filtering legalised here!
Great vid, was nice to see how a 'normal drive' was - painful!
…and thanks for the stickers! they made it safe and sound!
No filtering allowed is nuts, all studies show it's safer. Thanks for your order and support, glad they arrived ok.
I love your new riding style, it's way better for our environment!
what is new compared with his old riding style , sorry for my bad english
I would have to disagree with you, filtering has nothing to contribute to pollution, in fact it might be possible that due to shorter commute and less engine running time, there is therefore less emissions
Point proven. Never upload another video without filtering again. xD
RJ for Sainthood, No filtering or speeding! ........God, it was so boring to watch!!! LOL
Your non filtering bit is just like the summer i spend riding a sidecar outfit around London ! Going no where fast haha!
And once again it has been proved that the filtering is the best option, even when the subject is security. Every single legislator, from every single country should watch this video and try to survive for a month doing their daily commutes in a bike without a loud pipe, without filtering and ALWAYS respecting the speed limit, even if it's 10 kmph in an area known for speeding.
I can not imagine how hard it must have been for you RoyalJordanian to resist the urge to filter :) you were very strong :D
It required maximum restraint. A painful experience.
I don't know if it's safer but it is undeniably boring ;)
I was about to say lol my body couldn't hold it in that kind of riding lol
Even I sat through the whole experiment. I have to admit that it was rather painful to watch though ;)
thanks for the safety lession rj good to watch you before my riders lesson!
If I rode my supermoto over there I'd end up either dead or in prison lol. great vids RJ
it's very dangerous to ride without filtering... you might die of boredom ;)
Not too long ago I would have been far more interested in the Porsche. I think I'm turning into a bike person.
Bike is SO much more fun.
Funny you should mention that. I took my CBT and now I ride a Varadero 125. I DID turn into a bike person. :D
Dude! same!
Look Nuda. Your owner doesnt ride you the same as before. his mind is on someone else. Take the upper hand while you can
Awesome as always!
the sound of that Nuda 900R is just phenomenal just unreal
RE: the last clip... think I'd rather just take the car then lol :P
Agreed. So ridiculous to see RJ NOT filtering...:) Anyway, I believe I wasn't the only one waiting for some wildness after all that "boring" riding...:P
Id proudly like to say If you go to 10:57 there is a coach parked up on the right hand side, thats one of our coaches :) small world RJ!
Always like your daily observations, cheers :)
Thank you for that, I'm a new rider and nervously progressing with filtering. With what you had pointed out has made me think a lot more and made me feel a lot more confidant to progress with filtering. I'm sure there are a million more things to take in to account but you have possibly prevented a potential left hook.
I find these strangely addictive
I like how you warn that babies not scared your sound..as always ride safe and keep posting awesome video.tnx
Great stuff as always! Fun to see what u see everyday!
Your point is well made RJ, now I have watched the entire vid, I see what you mean.... it's far safer to filter and stay out of trouble. Please keep posting your vids, learning a lot from you!
The double throttle blip at the bus stop girls stopped me from fast forwarding.Amazing mpg i bet but a bit yawnworthy.
wow man that BMW was awesome, a nice piece of history.
We used to ride like that all the time in the Sixties, but there was always the occasional "ton up" on the motorways to relieve the boredom(before the limit of course)
You notice the bike but miss the porche and the Aston Martin
How you feel about not filtering is how I feel but being in QLD Australia we aren't allowed to filter at all which really sucks.
Non filtering riding is like living without breathing !! :D
love the end clip on your videos the music and the video matches so well! can you tell me what kind of music or the name of the band?
Now you know how us poor not-allowed-to-filter motorcyclists feel in america! it is painful to watch you not filter. I dont know how you did it! I would have gone 2 minutes and said "screw this I'll just look up the statistics on it." =P
I did it out of solidarity with you guys. Now I know how you feel :)
RoyalJordanian just dont do that any more
+tapsumbung81 same in germany
Ill..kkkkkkhhhm
"No filtering allowed today", Nuda gave you blueballs!
Maybe one day filtering will be legal in Texas and we can experience RJ's way of life.
Oh god i love the sound of your bike
I think I just saw the same 1938 BMW R71 at the motorbike expo in finland.
Filtering is a must IMO. much safer and alot more fun!
this came out to be a boring vid towards the end D: not much transitions and no filtering makes it hard to watch ); nice start to the vid tho RJ!
Congrats for your severe self-control after 4:00, RJ!
It is like point 2: "Expect the unexpected"... ^^
what's the big white cathedral like building at your left at 11 minutes?
Cheers
No filtering is dangerous to motorcycle, AMA did a study and found more motorcyclist are killed in rear end accident. Filtering reduce the risk factor a lot. You only have to worry about vehicles in your vision.
Naughty RJ at 10:39 :-)
Great 68 mate!
J'adore vos vidéos, et votre moto est magnifique. Désoler je parle Français :)
Lool RJ at 10:38 ;)
HAHAH i fucking love the "WHERE ARE YOU GOIIIINGG!!" lol XDDDDDDD
Here the road from hammersmith to knightsbridge took you 11 minutes. How long does it take you with filtering?
Nice sounding bike.
What area in London is it that you ride through?. Looks nice
Where I live in Australia, filtering is not permitted. So if you are in traffic and someone is sitting too close, all you can do is pull over and let them pass. If you cover your brakes to get them to back off a bit, you can be fined for intentionally impeding the flow of traffic.Laws in place to make it unsafe for mototcyclists. I try to leave a 3 second gap between myself and the vehicle in front which upsets the drivers even more.
That was an easy commute traffic day, wasn't it? I think filtering can be dangerous in some situations, even when you think that you're in control. Like going against oncoming traffic. There should be a point where time saving is worth the risk. I think you are very good doing it, you know how to, but that could result in over self confidence, increasing the risk. I don't know if I made myself clear...lol...it's late here and my english is poor. Anyway, I love your videos, watched them all and I love the Nuda... Take care!
well imagine how i felt before it was legell to filter.... it sucked. now its a pleasure and a gift to take a ride through town, i cant wait to warmer weather....
I wish there were more bike-drivers (and car-drivers for that matter) that followed the laws like you do! :)
when filtering you have more of a chance to swap paint with cars but while not filtering you have more of a chance of getting hurt from cars not stopping
hi RJ, can we have some ore vids where you were in ciro really enjoyed those really interesting kind of get the impression its a free for all on the roads do you have to have insurance, anyway looks really nice there,
i think you should have a rive with the barron through london
thanks and stay safe
I have tons of footage from that trip, but it clashes with the identity of my channel. Will see what I can do. Cheers :)
Throttle flirt at 10:40 ..... Thats my RJ!!
Hi Jordanian , I just wanted your help as I'm coming 17 and I want a bike and I have rode a 85cc bike a bit before and it was ok but that was on a track . So I wondered for my first bike should it be a 50cc or 125cc ?
What would you suggest ? Cool videos :)
No rain? London?
So used to hearing that throttle being opened. Was there a real reason for you not filtering hard on this one.
(Fliltering) It depends if the drivers expect it, in London they wait for you to pass them, in traffic they don't freak out, but here in Canada if i started filtering, there'd either be a fight or a crash
another great vid :)
Bro I never wanna see u not filter again ..
Could you do a test of the z800 ?
The Volvo driver didn't exactly shower himself in glory there !!
what's the music right at the end?
what gloves are they and are they warm
Filtering is good only when there is heavy traffic like in the evenings. Otherwise its safer to just keep it cool and go with the flow of regular cars.
3:40 there is an abundant litter of leaves in gutter crossing over the the side walk and not one tree can be seen hahaha
Why no filtering allowed today?
It seems strange when you dont filter rj, Its like your chained with an iron ball behind you. Awesome video though as always.
Are you filming this using GoPro?
The no filtering clips, Welcome to my world!!! We have a no filter law in my State. :(
hey RJ i was thinking about the nuda 900 to get one my self has my first bike
i think is sexy but what kind exhaust do you have on only the acrapovic or any other mods ?
See: ruclips.net/video/zTbzFabbQoA/видео.html
hey RJ how are you? are you from jordan or egypt i am half british half syrian
I check and see if the person is stopping behind me every time
'No filtering or accelerating experiment. Is it Safer?' more relaxed but 'gassed' by fumes! I'd rather have the adrenaline pumping filtering any day! stay safe pal
i like how every other person owns a really expensive mercedes in this town
Świetne filmy nagrywasz ! :)
2:20 Isn't that the same ducati you passed while filtering for the 1938 BMW ?
4:00 Safer ? NO Soooooo Boooooring ? YEEEEES !!! Why would it be 45 (around here its 50) km/h speed limit on a clear straight road ? I couldn't have resisted to go so slow :P
Whats the endind scene song,called ? :D
This is what its like to ride in Australia, its terrifying.
I have to risk my licence and filter sometimes because I fear for my safety, I hate it.
Does anyone in London indicate before changing lane!
No filtering = no fun = no point. R38 really was nice though...
wahts IMO again?
God damn that was a sweet ass bike he was pullin, and that 911! Freakin rich ppl in london I tell ya
Hmmmm no filtering....
filtering is not allowed in quebec so I have dealer with all these dangerous situations every day....A car hit me once ..... now I redoubled caution
Dont think the Volvo Driver knew what he was doing.
@ 3.06 very nice of you RJ
Very good point on this experiment now the real Question. Do you feel safe riding this way RJ ??
Great video
Thumbs up
Absolutely not. feels very vulnerable and to an extent lures you into a false sense of safety that you stop paying enough attention to what's around you.
RoyalJordanian
very true
Well, from a traffic flow point of view, having traffic flow at a lower, but steady speed is quicker overall than having people accellerating and then having to slow, because that sort of traffic will inevitably form queues.
Filtering... it would be less of an issue if bicycles had their own infrastructure, like in our cities. Car drivers are then able to hug the extremes of their respective lanes (most of the time, there are stubborn pricks here too) and the motorbikes can easily go up the middle. As it is, you're having to weave around cars and are often stopped at a front corner of a car. Once the traffic gets going again, that car then has to wait for you to go and I'm sure this has a knock-on effect in a queue. You may be "out", but things are slightly worse for those left behind. Times x amount of bikes, times Y amount of streets, times z amount of days (x2 because it's a commuting thing) and that could be quite significant from an overall traffic flow point of view.
Did you time your non-filtering commute? -how did it compare to a regular commute under similar circumstances?
As for the danger aspect, I also don't see one as inherently more dangerous than the other. That last clip looked like a regular city ride to me as I usually don't filter unless traffic is at a dead stop. Through my eyes, in the clips I've seen, you do tend to take risks when traffic is moving considerably faster than walking pace (or even running pace), especially on that overpass at the beginning of the clip. You tend to weave your way through there, even if traffic is moving along at a decent clip, when it wouldn't take much of a deconcentration on the part of a motorist (or yourself) to have a big accident. But, that's just my opinion. As humans we tend to perceive risk differently and if you aren't comfortable having cars around, then that's fine. You've got just the machine to outrun them.
1:03 damn man these things are hard to find in here
I'm not sure if no filtering is safer or not, but it sure makes a crappy commute.
10:40 ;) cheeky throttle flirt! xD
no filtering looked like hard work and no fun lol
Saludos desde chile muy buenos los videos aunque a veces un poco imprudente jaja pero bueno eso es lo divertido
Hey Rj are those stock grips?
Yes
hi, great stuff and your city's building are truly out there.
to everyone else hi I am a new channel and I wish you guys a great day
You ever had problem with your tinted/smoked visor during your ride in London? And does you have regular 9x7inch number plate?
No & No, 7x5
RoyalJordanian Thanks RJ! Will order now a 7x5 plate. Hope it's not a problem with 7 signs on the plate.
Hello RJ, is it a coustom exhaust you have on?
Yes. See FAQ on my website.
RoyalJordanian Witch one do u recomend?
Mathias Laursen Akra
The best.
Looking at the frame, the BMW looks more like a R12. It's not a R71 though.
Country roads in my neck of the woods. Yep the ladies were nice .
i drive a volvo and you cant believe how much blindspots we have.... we really try
What's wrong in London? Someone couldn't make his mind up. 2 lanes, 3 small lanes , 1 lane and bus stand , 2 lanes , 2 lanes and a bus stand, 3 small ones again etc... , and when they don't know what they want , they simply zig-zag the stripes to confuse the drivers :-)
