You are a life saver! Food was the joy of my Italian grandmother's life before she lost her teeth. Your channel is literally saving her quality of life! Great job and thank you!
Thank you Sherri Smith!!!!! I love you SOOOOOO much right now! I have had oral surgery, and cannot chew, for over a week now. I am so hungry, and so tired of soup. I can't wait to eat this chicken, it looks DELICIOUS!!!!! Bless you kind Soul!
I cant stop crying, ive been searching forever for decent soft food... I have ideopathic gastroparesis and i can only eat soft foods now... I wish i could thank you in a better way, but you just made MY quality of life get just a little better, for once... 😂❤🎉
You almost made me cry. I'm so glad you found the channel. It's so important to have the little pleasures of eating something delicious. I have some other ideas and recipes on www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood if you can make it over there. Blessings to you! And I hope you come up with some creative ideas of your own for the things you like. Reach out if you have any questions or help creating a new dish.
This may well absolutely save my father’s life. He’s disabled (has been since before I was born, bless him) and he can’t really get around or do much exercise. This means he has almost no core strength and his glutes and legs are pretty weak to start off with! He also recently had most of his teeth removed, he has dentures but they’re so new that they make his gums hurt 😢 All this means he can’t really chew much. He can’t crunch, he can’t even handle things like bacon because it’s a bit chewy/stringy. Us lucky people who can chew food tend to forget that even ground raw meat cooks up quite chewy! So he survives on baked potatoes with cheese. Not a lot of protein sources are available to him like this. I am so excited to try this recipe as he does love him some Italian food 😍 xxxx
I'm so sorry your father is going through all this, but I hope my channel is a blessing to him. Sometimes we just need some tasty food to bring some joy and pleasure back into our lives. You might also check out my Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood. There are additional recipes there. And let me know if you have any questions.
I just found your channel, and made this for my mom. It turned out delicious. Quick and easy. She loves it. Please start making videos again. We need you! 😻🥰🤗
Hi Chantel, I stopped making videos a few years ago, but I have some additional recipes on www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood. So check that out if you can. Glad your mom enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! My mom has a brain injury. Some of her teeth are missing and I have to feed her a soft diet. You don't know how much this video means to me. 🤗❤️
Thank you so much for posting! I just had oral surgery and on a soft food diet for 3 weeks. So tired of yogart, cottage cheese, and peanut butter. Can't wait to try this! ❤ sending love from Birmingham, AL
Making this tonight. thank you for your tips and recipes. They've been helping a lot. The cracker tip you gave me a while back helped him a lot. Now he eats crackers ground up with like almost everything.
Diagnosed with EC in 2015, Your soft food recipes have changed my life! thank you! I was feeling hopeless until I discovered your channel, omg, your AMAZING 👈 #LIFECHANGER🙋♀️
Tifany, thank you for your kind words. I hope to start doing more videos soon. Check out my facebook page at www.Facebook.com/nochewfood. I sometimes post recipes there rather than do a video. Keep your hope on!
Thank you so much! My 99 yr old mother-in-law has decreased her food intake, mainly because the nursing home's food is so bland. She does not like it. I'm sure she will love this dish. It looks delicious!!
I hope she likes this. She may like some of my other recipes available here and on www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood. You may want to refer the nursing home staff to my videos as well. I did have one chef from a nursing home who found my channel and was going to use it to make more tasty dishes for the residents. Worth a try.
Two weeks post TMJ replacements and not sure I can stick mash potato and cheese for much longer... and soup all the time just does your head in! So thank for the inspiration will hit kitchen and see how we do!
Hi Sherri, I’m still enjoying using your suggestions! Thank you. I did like this one. I probably used more marinara than I’d like …next time I’m going to put a couple tablespoons of hot water in there instead of the extra layer of marinara. Enchiladas work well for me as long as I use plenty of sauce and then cut it into tiny bite size pieces before eating. I’m always looking for recipes that seem more like normal eating. You do a good job of step by step process. I’ve been on puree for 17 years now!
I'm so glad you're able to benefit from these recipes! If you have access to Facebook, I have some more ideas on www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood. There is a broccoli, cheese, and rice recipe posted there using cream of rice cereal and mashed broccoli that you might be able to eat. Let me know if you can't find it, and I'll send it to you. You are such a trooper for 17 years! Bless you, and reach out again if you need to!
I thank you! These are the best recipes that I have seen for soft bite diet. I have swallowing difficulty after a mild stroke and these recipes are so great! 😊
👋 Sherri, just wanted to thank you for making this video. It's been over 3 days since I've been able to eat anything actually filling, and this sure is hitting the spot, as in on my seconds😋
So glad you like it! Check out my other videos here and on www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood. I have some other recipes and ideas on Facebook. Puree doesn't have to be boring.
I stopped by my oral maxillofacial surgeon’s office today to tell them about your channel. They were very enthusiastic and even located your channel while I was there. I also told them you’ve inspired me to make my own no-chew versions, like moussaka and maple syrup/mustard baked salmon. Most of their patients are on soft food restrictions for weeks or months. Anything to help them stick with the regimen is a good thing.
Thank you for spreading the word! I want to help as many people as possible, and inspiring them to come up with their own ideas was one of my goals. I'm glad you are running with the ball.
I'm so glad you're thinking of him! Fortunately, there are a lot of good options at Thanksgiving that don't require additional prep or pureeing : mashed potatoes, pureed sweet potatoes (I have a video for that), dressing is pretty soft if you add enough liquid, and of course, jellied cranberry sauce. Turkey or ham can be pureed in the food processor with some liquid drippings. He should feel very included at your Thanksgiving table this year, and I wish him a speedy recovery. I have some more ideas and recipes at www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood if you have access to that platform. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Mrs. Hunt here. Posting under my husband's name. This is so delicious I eat it once a week. The flavors make it taste like the real thing! Thank you Sherri for all your ideas. Can I ask how you come up with these ideas recipes?
Hi Mrs. Hunt, Glad you like it. I study recipes (some my own and some from other sources) and work out the details in my head first, then go to the kitchen and try it. I found out through trial and error when to add liquid to the puree process and when to just pour liquid over the puree so the dish doesn't turn out soupy. I want to encourage others to use their imaginations to come up with ideas that they like.
Thank you so much! Your amazing❤I’m always looking for better ideas for the purée residents we have, their food looks so bland sometimes and I feel bad for them so I came here and I’m very impressed and excited to try this with them🥰🥰🥰
I'm so glad the channel is helpful. I really want people to enjoy their food, so I'm excited that you are in a position to improve the lives of your residents in this way. Kudos to you! I also have some other ideas on my Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood. I haven't posted any videos in a long while, but hopefully what I do have here will help inspire you with other ideas as well. Thank you for watching!
So glad it works for you! You can do so many different meals by just pureeing the meat separately and then adding the different parts of the meal together. I have some more ideas at www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood if you have access to that. Thanks for the comment!
Hi, and so glad you found the channel! I'm not making new videos right now, but you can find more ideas and recipes at www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood. Thanks for watching!
Oops, I messed up the previous post. Anyway, how do you come up with the ideas on how to make these recipes no chew? I keep coming back to try more of them. I feel very fortunate to have found your channel. I've looked at many other comparable channels but yours is by far the best!
Thanks, don't know when I'll be back; broke my elbow a couple of months ago and then injured my wrist, so can't work in the kitchen right now. But I hope to be back before long. Visit me on Facebook for some new ideas. Facebook.com/nochewfood
Thank you so much. It's been a rough ride without teeth. I never knew how much you can't eat without teeth. Feel like I'm starving but everything I try to eat, I find I can't. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I love meats, and veggies, God I feel like I'm wasting away.
I hope these videos are helping you and showing you some creative options. You might also want to add some high-calorie smoothies to your diet so you don't lose too much weight. I have a video called "Super Weight Gain Smoothie" at ruclips.net/video/jisbbwn6Y10/видео.html&ab_channel=SherriSmith. If this link doesn't work, just search RUclips for "No Chew Food, Super Weight Gain Smoothie". And I have more recipes on www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood if you can access that. All the best to you in this difficult journey. Feel free to reach out again if you have questions.

Hi Joann, yes, you can do a mixture of ricotta (about 8 oz), 1 egg, 1/2 cup mozzarella, and 1/4 cup parmesan. Spread this on the chicken, then cover with marinara and bread crumbs. Try it and let me know what you think.
This looks great! I will definitely try this for my dad for his pureed food diet. I may eat it with him! Please continue to make more videos! Hi can you use a blender instead of food processor?
Blenders really don't work well for meats. It could damage your blender, and the meat doesn't get chewed up very well in a blender. You can try it if you cut the meat into very small pieces (maybe a 1/4 inch cubes), and you would have to use more liquid which will make your final product runny. A food processor works much better for meat. You may be able to get one cheap at an estate sale or from someone on Facebook Marketplace or NextDoor, if you have access to those platforms. Good luck!
