I ha e tried most of sherri receipes.and I tell you they are alot better than just eating banana and apple sauce
Wonderful. Thank you.
I tried this and its tastes just as good as the regular
So glad it works for you! You can do so many different meals by just pureeing the meat separately and then adding the different parts of the meal together. I have some more ideas at www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood if you have access to that. Thanks for the comment!
See you again soon
Love.all.your ideas.
I'm on a soft food diet bc of my Crown and this is a life saver 😌
You’re a sweetheart, thank you 🙏
I think this one would look better if made in single serves ramekins or one of the small Pyrex bowls. That way you wouldn't have to dish it up and disturb the layers until it is served.
This is like making baby food. But I think if you bought enough baby food for an adult, you'd spend a fortune.
I think CANNED peas and carrots (added last in the pan frying step since they are already soft) would work well in this recipe. What do you think?
I cant stop crying, ive been searching forever for decent soft food... I have ideopathic gastroparesis and i can only eat soft foods now... I wish i could thank you in a better way, but you just made MY quality of life get just a little better, for once... 😂❤🎉
You almost made me cry. I'm so glad you found the channel. It's so important to have the little pleasures of eating something delicious. I have some other ideas and recipes on www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood if you can make it over there. Blessings to you! And I hope you come up with some creative ideas of your own for the things you like. Reach out if you have any questions or help creating a new dish.
1. Why not season it better like a normal grill master, and then grill it to get that Smokey grill flavor, THEN food process it! 2. You could use beef broth for liquid to blend while adding beef flavor
Sounds good to me! I try to encourage creativity, so sure.
Hello. I have su8rgery for hiatal hernia the end of July, 2024. I have been watching all kinds of videos for pureed foods. I just found this channel and have been binge watching. I discovered Braggs liquid aminos at least a year ago. It is sooo good, even on veggies.
So glad you found the channel. I have some more recipes on www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood if you have access to that platform. All the best on the upcoming surgery. I hope all goes perfectly well.
Thanks for all your great videos. I can't tell you how much these have helped. Ive spent the last few months struggling to swallow due to a hiatal hernia . I've literally been living off juiced drinks and porridge oats . I've tried a couple of your recipes and they went down a treat so thought I'd say a big thankyou 🎉
You are so welcome! I'm glad the recipes have helped. There are some more ideas on www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood if you can make it over to that site. All the best to you!

I should have said www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood. Sorry about that.
I appreciate the videos you made. I came across them looking up puree recipes for my Father-in-Law who has advanced dementia and currently having denture issues and requires puree foods. Thank you so much!
Glad you found the channel, and I hope your Father-in-Law enjoys the recipes. I have some more ideas and recipes on www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood if you have access to that platform. Thanks for the comment, and blessings to you both.
What other pizza crust ideas could be used instead of the sourdough bread?
If you can't chew the bread, you could place the bread in a blender or food processor and make bread crumbs. Then mix them with some melted garlic butter and press into the bottom of a baking dish. Some people like cauliflower crust, but I've never tried it. You could steam the cauliflower, then blend it and press into bottom of a baking dish. I would then drizzle a little melted butter or olive oil over it. Let me know how it turns out.
How is this a no chew food? I'm confused.
I like your videos ❤thank you

Thank you so much for posting! I just had oral surgery and on a soft food diet for 3 weeks. So tired of yogart, cottage cheese, and peanut butter. Can't wait to try this! ❤ sending love from Birmingham, AL
So glad you found the channel! I was just in Alabama a few days ago. Loved the warmer weather there. Blessings and a speedy recovery to you!
Thanks my father is driving me crazy... i dunno what to cook anymore
Hi! I have several videos on RUclips and more recipes on www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood. Hopefully your father will find some things that he likes. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
@@NoChewFood thanks so much... he's very picky italian and you know how they are when it comes to food lol!
Thank you from Australia, just had the gastric sleeve surgery and almost at end of puree stage and this soft food recipe looks delicious. Can you freeze left overs or does it have to be used up on the day or next day?
Yes, you can definitely freeze this and many of my other recipes. Only the salads and polenta recipes don't freeze well. Since you had gastric sleeve, check to make sure you can eat the bread crumbs. Otherwise, just leave them off. Best of luck to you!
Hi Sherri, I’m still enjoying using your suggestions! Thank you. I did like this one. I probably used more marinara than I’d like …next time I’m going to put a couple tablespoons of hot water in there instead of the extra layer of marinara. Enchiladas work well for me as long as I use plenty of sauce and then cut it into tiny bite size pieces before eating. I’m always looking for recipes that seem more like normal eating. You do a good job of step by step process. I’ve been on puree for 17 years now!
I'm so glad you're able to benefit from these recipes! If you have access to Facebook, I have some more ideas on www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood. There is a broccoli, cheese, and rice recipe posted there using cream of rice cereal and mashed broccoli that you might be able to eat. Let me know if you can't find it, and I'll send it to you. You are such a trooper for 17 years! Bless you, and reach out again if you need to!
Thank you so much! Blessings 😇🙏
You are amazing thank you so much. I'm gonna make it OMG.
Been making egg salad but been wanting bbq chicken. I was going to cook in crockpot with bbq sauce then puree. I see you poach first so may try that. Sure wish you still made videos. Was diagnosed with dysphasia and can only eat soft or pureed food.
Hi again, Marsha. Yes, I've found it's best to puree the meat first with just enough broth or water to get a firm consistency. Then transfer back to your pan and add whatever sauce you want. That way you can control how much sauce you add so it doesn't end up too soupy. I do my spaghetti sauce this way too; cook the ground meat with onion and garlic first, then drain the grease and puree. Then add tomato sauce and spices to the pureed meat in a skillet and simmer for a little while. Try beef stew by cooking the beef tips with onion and garlic as your normally would, then puree and spoon over mashed potatoes with a side of pureed carrots. I do a lot of meats by spooning them over cream of rice or mashed potatoes. I will add these ideas to my Facebook page if you can access that. All the best, and happy cooking!
Thank you making these videos. I wish you would start up again as the need for recipes for people who can not chew or swallow solid food anymore is growing. I developed dysphasia this past year and am looking for something to eat besides cottages, mashed potatoes and scrambled eggs. Going to try this recipe next week.
Thank you for your comments. Though I don't plan to make more videos at this time, I do have some other recipes on www.Facebook.com /NoChewFood. But go ahead and subscribe just in case I'm able to start uploading again. All the best to you!
Thank you so much! My 99 yr old mother-in-law has decreased her food intake, mainly because the nursing home's food is so bland. She does not like it. I'm sure she will love this dish. It looks delicious!!
I hope she likes this. She may like some of my other recipes available here and on www.Facebook.com/NoChewFood. You may want to refer the nursing home staff to my videos as well. I did have one chef from a nursing home who found my channel and was going to use it to make more tasty dishes for the residents. Worth a try.
I’m going to try this later this week. I recently got a crown and am on a soft diet but I miss the taste of pizza!
marvellous video - thanks so much.
You should do a monthly budget list for pure meals!:) that help me a lot idk what to get half the time
Can you do a no chew pizza?
Yes, here is a link to my pizza video. ruclips.net/video/rJ6U2sI7gFI/видео.html&ab_channel=SherriSmith You can also do a chicken/barbeque pizza. Puree some chicken, add bbq sauce, and top with pureed pineapple (if you can tolerate that) or just drizzle some pineapple juice over the chicken. Sourdough works best, but you can use any type of soft bread. Let me know if you have any questions.

How many potatoes
I just use one or two depending on how large the potato is. If it makes too much, then I freeze the rest. Mashed potatoes freeze very well.
Thank you for sharing these recipes, my mom is elderly an she cant have regular food things have to be soft or puree. You are an inspiration in my life to see what you have shared. Thank you for making this channel- my Mom just had all of her teeth removed and is on a soft food diet. You don’t say how to purée the chicken.
I use boneless, skinless chicken breasts and poach them. Put about 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet and heat the oil. Then add the chicken and brown on one side for about 3 minutes. Then turn the chicken, add about a half cup of water, and cover. Simmer on low until chicken is no longer pink in the center (about 20 minutes). Cut into the chicken and continue simmering if still pink. Here is a link to my video for , showing how to poach chicken. ruclips.net/video/cPgjsdlrJkE/видео.html&ab_channel=SherriSmith. Hope this helps! And thank you for watching!

Sorry but you've made a white sauce not gravy. IMO gravy is meat flavored.
Thank you for these videos. Just diagnosed with dysplasia and am on a soft diet. Have been so depressed about living off shakes, cottage cheese, protein drinks. At least now I can hopefully make some of these recipes!

Great recipe, I made for family and pureed/pulsed mine, did add couple chilies because we like heat, but the raisins still came through, really nice, tyvm.
Hi, I've loved this egg salad and chicken salad, have big pig roast coming where also BBQ chicken ect.. first time grandsons running it and I observe, did test run with them on BBQ chicken last night, I pureed it like this with my sauce, and was great, still tastes same, was afraid cuz fat would get gummy, but didn't, I shredded some but was still difficult 🥺, remembered this video. Tyvm. Hope doing well.
Hi,Never thought salads🤔, I do make my Cole slaw it's like KFC but creamy and pulse it more, I have the actual original KFC fried chicken recipe, got from colonels grandson fishing buddy, 2 major differences from the draft a reporter found.. breast meat better in processor than thighs, watched lot of your videos but no BBQ yet, I'm sure there's some will find. When working through culinary school I was a grillmaster, did lots pig roasts and game dinners, half what hunted I grilled, smoked ect.. and did BBQ for homeless and low income, a church organized it so all were welcome.. church members brought pot luck too. Was great, miss it a lot, now I want to do a Waldorf salad lol. Grandsons helping me roast a pig and chicken this weekend, well they will be doing most work lol. Last year I could chop some shredded pork fine enough to eat, might have mini processor handy, just be embarrassing a bit, saw video for chicken Parm want to try soon. Tyvm PS, still working on videos? Hope ok, sry didn't ask before.
Sounds like you're handling things quite well, especially with the help of your grandsons. And don't be embarrassed about using the food chopper. Most people don't seem to mind. I even quiz waiters in restaurants about the consistency of their food. They're quite helpful.
@@NoChewFood thank you very much
Hi, family loves it, I probably could do with cream corn, but they don't like it, I puree all for leftovers, it's better with butter and ketchup heated like flat patty in cast iron, I make extra gravy so can add after, that's weekend, when have ingredients I make like you did, small version, during week because it's good, breakfast do like other in cast iron pan like hash, and scramble an egg, anything can be good, can't wait for holiday leftovers lol. Tyvm
You have some good ideas! Your "chef" is definitely showing, and you've given me some food for thought as well (pun intended). Thanks for watching, and keep it up!
@@NoChewFood tyvm. You help more people than know. I see the views, glad real cooking lol. Yes was chef, I still make meals for family when can, and find what can puree, never thought would lol, some things don't have to be as fine as others but🤷, I gave ideas to nursing home when knew the chef, but now they have regulations...
Hi, been watching your videos, I was crippled may 12, 1999, had bad accident April 19,2019, some dates can't forget, your videos helped me a lot, in 2019 accident I suffered more spine damage, broke 6 ribs, lost all my teeth and was bone structure damage in mouth, can't even afford to attempt any kind dentures, videos helped, I was a chef and grillmaster, and loved burgers, I can't eat a crusty smashburger, a fast food 'burger', but I can have a ,8oz med/rare burger with sauce and slice tomato, not toasted bun. One of few foods can still eat, but health issues catching up, so eventually will have to puree, in RI clams, seafood very big, can have baked scrod/fish with buttery topping, can make stuffies with chorizo from wheelchair, I just puree chorizo, whole clams.. mix with stuffing, and heat up, put in shells, just bake to form, freeze a lot, but that's about it, oh, tomato sandwich on fresh wonder bread lol, applesauce.. but it's amazing what can get pureed and taste great, I've pureed a med/rare ribeye lol, put on mashed potatoes, your channel is an inspiration, lots people with different problems don't know this, wanted to thank you
I'm so sorry about your circumstances. But it sounds like you are a fighter. I like your idea of pureeing the ribeye. It sounds wonderful, especially on top of mashed potatoes! I'll have to try that. All the best to you!

Did you just a use a blender to purée most food?
After grill I cut and add to food processor with grilled onions, little beef stock
@@Lemywinxx I use food processor, can use blender if a good one, but depends what things lol? I'm not talking a smooth puree tho, talking about mostly meats ect, it's finely chopped, that's also pureed
