For amplification, if you’re into modeling / amp sims, you could grab Neural DSP’s Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ Suite for $108 (the real amp runs thousands of dollars used) and then get York Audio’s IR pack of the Marshall 1960BV cab for $20 (this speaker cab is what Hetfield used on the Black Album apparently). OR, just find free IR’s of that cab or even the exact tone match IR’s of the Metallica album guitar tones (I’ve tried them and they are pretty exact lol) and then get a free amp sim based on a Mesa amp like LePou Lecto or something like that. All the MX-220's were set neck.
There’s a few comments below that mention the “EXP” models were all bolt-on. I’m not sure how true this is thou. Are the EXP & MX-220s separate models?
They made a custom shop explorer bolt on? Thats awful, and for 12k, I wouldnt buy anything but at the very least set neck.
I know some of the Kirk Hammett custom shop models are bolt-ons too! Not sure why they do that at that price point unless people ordered them as bolt-ons 🤔🤘🎸🤘
THERE IS A GUY WHIS GOING TO SELL THE CHRIS AMOTT MODEL, SO KEEP AN EYE OUT!!!!!
Edit: there is also a guy in sweden, whos Selling the 2nd version with the birds for really and i mean REALLY cheap
Do you know where these will be advertised for sale?? Thanks for the heads up! 🤘🎸🤘
I’m down for only 1 and 3. One thing I can’t stand from Metallica now is that the artwork and designs for the merch and stuff is just tacky and ugly looking all the time. Number 5 is a novelty guitar.
1 & 3 are awesome! The artwork is getting tacky & ugly now thou 🤘🎸🤘
Git ahhhhs 😂
Guiiittttaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrsssssssss yeaahhhhhhh! 🤘🎸🤘
12k for an esp and then it comes with a bolt-on neck. :(
It’s insane hey! From what I understand it was a custom shop option & someone has chosen that option. The way the market is with these guitars someone will end up buying this even with a bolt-on 🤘🎸🤘
@@GuitarHoarder thanks for that info, didn´t knew that. still crazy to pay that for a "hetfield" guitar with the "wrong" specs. but yeah, probably there will be a buyer. keep up the vids - great stuff!
@@kidvolcanodotcom thanks man! Appreciate it! Yeah the prices on all Hetfield axes are insane these days whether they’re bolt-on or not unfortunately 🤘🎸🤘
