I'm so glad my JGC is the V8. I was able to do this job with a jack and 2 jackstands and didn't have to remove anything but the heat shield and skidplate on the bottom to replace my starter.
Hello, so I changed my starter 6 weeks ago. It went out 5 days ago. So I replaced it with a used starter. I had it tested and was told it was good but it didn’t work when I installed it. Then I took the car to an auto repair shop. They replace the starter and the car shut off while my son was driving. The repair shop said the starter went bad. So they replaced it again and the same thing happened. My question is, the negative wire clip has a section that looks like it should be grounded somewhere. Could that be the reason it is destroying starter?

My wife starter went and after watching this video, I think I’ll just let the mechanics handle it

Best video for a reason never to buy a jeep cherokee
Thank you! This video saved the day! PS you sound like Charlie Sheen
what in the world were these engineers thinking of ? this is a bad design ,i thought the 04 nissan titan was bad!
I'm going to do my engine mount soon. May as well do the starter .
Very informative. Lot of complex steps.
Makes it clear why the labor cost for this repair could be high.
I'm about to tackle this on Saturday. I'll definitely follow these steps. Thanks for taking the time to video this.

Does it differ with the 5.7 trim ?
got a video for the 5.7 hemi?
How long did this take you? How many hours of labor is reasonable from a mechanic?
Great video now I’ll be hoping my starter or motor mount doesn’t go out 😄
And I thought Ford engineers hated us the most
Anyone try this without a lift?
Yeah, I think I’ll sit this one out and eat the cost..
Holly shit
Don’t buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee🤦🏽♀️
Failed to mention whether it's AWD or fwd. Thumbs down 👎🏽
