Other than possibly a single sharp note, this was an absolutely insanely good performance! I feel honored that you have shred this. Bach would have lost his mind that this composition that is usually played with two hands & two feet could be played on this instrument. You are an amazingly talented musician. Keep up the good work!
This is not just "good", here is performing an exceptional talented marimba player! So natural and so musical....if ever Bach could hear this! Congratulations Kana! ruud wiener
this was truly amazing....thank you for sharing this. this made my day! go far and do good things with your talent, some of us can only dream to be that good.
Hello Janathan Watts, Thank you so much for watching the video and thank you for your comment! I arranged it, it is published as a book called "Masterpieces of Classical Music on Marimba Vol.1" You can get the book through my website, kana-mallets.com/discography.htm thank you!
Wow....This is the first time Marimba made me cry. I'm a huge fan of Bach, and know numerous performances of this piece, so a kind of a picky listener, but this one touched me deeply.
holy crap that was amazing!!!!!! love it!!! i can barely play that on piano with 10 fingers and here you go with 4 mallets.........-_- (jealous) awesome playing! loved it!
Dearest Kana, As I watch videos from the Orient and Europe I'm very convinced that we don't have superior mallets compared to these countries. The mallets of your choice, are they to be found anywhere in the United States. I have an affinity for mallets from France and of course yours but because of the currency exchange it makes it very difficult to acquire such wonderful implements due to the ordering process. Oh, and because of you I've just purchased a brand new Korogi Spirits 5.0 octave. The LaVue in which you play has tremendous color and depth throughout the keyboard. Thanks for such wonderful playing, you're wonderful!!!!!! JW
All the arrangements I found for this go into two mallets towards the end but this one doesn't. Who is the arranger? Do you have a link for this version?
