    I always wear 2 anti static bands. one on my right hand and my left ankle. if you set 2 anti static bags one vertical and one horizontal the static that does make it to the second bag pushes off to the edge rather than through the other side.

      +ASMR Labs They certainly aren't as fragile as thin fiber glass rods but I've still had bad experiences with the pins falling off or being bent, mostly because they're gold and gold isn't the sturdiest of metals. But hey it conducts the best and the last thing we need is a poor conduction between the CPU and motherboard. One good trick though (I've learned this from friends coming to me when they've installed the cpu wrong) is if the pins are just bent you can take something like a needle and gently straighten them. But either way I enjoyed the video, I actually hope to see more like this in the future, there aren't a lot of asmr tech videos (Related to computer building anyway) on youtube.

    • @conventionfansyt3664
      @conventionfansyt3664 8 лет назад +1

      +YourName |CS:GO Content I know I already said it but stock fans have the paste pre-spread on the heatsink. I know from having to fix friends computers with fried cpus that a modern processor that's being used like a normal computer can't survive without thermal paste. Even the coolest of cpus need at least a heat spreader, arm processors are basically the only exception, they're a slightly more primitive and simplified CPU (The type in your phone or in the raspberry pi) and even then people will get heat spreaders for those if it's constantly under load.

    • @LewisPhot

      pbrad08 cable management on a pc like this isnt really necessary since you can never see into the case and its never gona run hot enough for it to block the airflow (it could probably work fine with only a cpu cooler)

    Even if it is laying on an 'anti-static' bag, only the inside is anti-static, the outside totally isn't.

    • @LewisPhot
      @LewisPhot 9 лет назад

      connor Piper its not exactly a power hungry pc even if that psu could barely output 300w its still enough for this pc

    • @connorPiper0
      @connorPiper0 9 лет назад

      ictdude1 No, the quality is the issue. My old TR2 was a piece of shit, and this is worse.

    • @LewisPhot
      @LewisPhot 9 лет назад

      connor Piper i know its a cheap quality psu (thus the reason i said it could probably only output 300w) but it shouldn't be needing to output alot of power to this pc so it should be ok

    • @DashRendar308
      @DashRendar308  9 лет назад +1

      ictdude1 Well I bought a 150 W GPU shortly after making this video. That is the biggest GPU supportet by this PSU and it ran just fine, even though I had sometimes over 300W power consumption during gaming.
      Now I got a Thermaltake again - a 530W one, because I upgraded to a GPU with 250W and two power connectors and it works just fine.

    working on carpet with the motherboard sitting on top of the ESD bag? if modern motherboards weren't idiot proofed, that thing would be fired. not to say that you're an idiot, just pointing out how hard it is to destroy a modern board by mistake.
