- Kirsty is a solo mum who has built an amazing tiny home for her and her young daughter. The home is beautifully designed, spacious and filled with everything the pair need. A truly cozy and creative family home.
Situated in the middle of an abundant orchard there’s plenty of space for the young one to play, forage and enjoy a wonderfully wild childhood.
The home is on a large property with several other young families that have come together to form a wonderful community. Here, they sometimes share meals and spend time together while the children play.

OMG Kirsty is making me want to pop over for dinner. That meal with her daughter looks absolutely delectably delightful. Such stunning fresh veggies. Yum.
Yum sorta describes her home and lifestyle as well. The biggest thing is that I would have changed wirh the stairs is to have only one set of steps and a catwalk between. It would create space for more lovely plants to be cascading over the rail. Other than adding a bit more color I wouldn't change anything else on the inside. Outside, I would have a full length covered porch with some dreamy, filmy, white curtains. And I totally agree about a place to take a dip. How refreshing.
Enjoy Kirsty, that sweet daughter is gonna grow up so fast. Blink and she will be through college embarking on her own giant journey. And you have set an amazing example for her to follow. I can see her setting up home right there with you in her very own tiny home. Namaste
Edit: I have a question for any of you guys, Bryce, Rasa or Kirsty....I see so many of the tiny houses there that have those wonderful bi-fold windows that don't seem to have screens on them. What do you do about bug control? From flies, mosquitoes and the like. Or is that only a mainland not island issue?

This is my favourite house for a small family. I love every single thing about it especially how the staircase makes it super safe for her daughter to run up and down without the scare of falling. I love how the house opens up to that as well and not the lounge💜 Well done!
I love how she did her bedroom so she can stand up all the way and all of the storage spaces throughout the house. Its simple in design but so efficient, one of my favorites so far.
I agree. I need to be able to stand in mine so it's ideal
yes and it seems you can walk around the bed which if you have a partner means they can go to the bathroom without clinbing on top of you!
There aren't many tiny homes that make it into my favourites folder but this is one of them. When you walk in and see those stairs and the beautiful blonde wood it just looks incredible and so spacious, love it.
I dont even like white walls and blonde wood, but I just looove this home. it just feels so cozy. I am danish and I can say this is a place for hygge!
No television is the best decision ever. I haven't had one for over 10 years.
You know, Bryce, many of the people you interview talk about how long they have been watching your RUclips videos. It seems that you have played a part in so many of your viewers starting on their own tiny house living adventures. It must make you feel so good to be the pebble tossed into that pond. (The reference is to throwing a stone in a pond and watching the ripples moving away from it - in case anyone did not have that image). 😊
This house is beautiful and so well designed for their purpose! And I love how they have managed to live in the country but have a community of people around them to share their lives with.
Wouldn't it be awesome if more farmers open up spaces on their farms for people with tiny home to rent. Spaces where it is more difficult to farm or along the borders
It's amazing how much more you can do with a tiny home that is just 2 feet (or 1 1/2 feet) wider than the norm. Like that U-shaped lounge and the more spacious bedroom lofts. Just stunning! Great house - beautiful location - gorgeous family. What's better than that? 🙂

Phenomenal home! Love the black stain on the exterior! The plywood in the kitchen, the bathroom, the window frames, the staircase, and more. I can't get over the plywood base cabinets and countertops and how they contrast with the black faucet! Thank you for more content Bryce and Rasa. 🙏 ❤😊

This is an amazing perfect tiny and communities for her and her friends and their children. For $120,000 usd! Was in NZ for 6 weeks, 20 years ago and my one regret was not trying to immigrate when an opportunity showed its self in Nelson, NZ. But have found my perfect place for the next 5 months in Panama City, Panama. I now chose to live in the present and every moment creates the next amazing moment. Thank you for sharing.😎

This is a complete favorite. The stairs, privacy, huge kitchen, all the plants, gardening, and the parking spot! Wow! Then Kristy mentioned Ecstatic Dance! What a wonderful village to raise children and have personal freedom!
At the beginning I'm thinking, "The only thing missing for me would be an outdoor spa." Imagine my surprise when Kirsty said the next thing to do was to "pop in a spa pool!" This is one of my top 3 tiny homes and settings for sure!
The symmetry of the stairs and window is lovely. To stand up in bedroom is smart and also getting onto bed. More Australian councils need to get on board with small scale community living like this, to help ease the housing crisis.

This one of my all time favourite designs ever! It's really noticeable that this woman is very intentional about how she lives, and that's really interesting to think about.. a lot can be done with a focused mind, and living with integrity, I can see how low impact small footprint houses foster space for good living like this

I love this!! This is definitely a dream tiny house! I would happily live in that home too! It's stunning. I love that both rooms shut, are spacious, and the priority is living, not being stapled to a screen. If I had a do over for any reason in life, I would go to a tiny house builder with this video. It's everything I could dream of.
Love this home. Really spacious, light, and airy inside. The lounge with the wrap around couch was pretty spectacular. In most of these tiny homes you never get the sense that one can entertain indoors. And a king bed in her bedroom is true luxury that I don't recall seeing in another tiny home. She mentioned that she was planning on adding a pool which will definitely be magical in the evenings to gaze up at the stars. The only other thing that I would personally want is a larger deck area. Other than that it feels pretty incredible. Good for her.
I love it!!! Beautiful home, one of my favorites to date. My husband and I are planning to sell our conventional home in a year or two, buy a piece of land, and build some tiny's for people to stay in (short term rentals) and enjoy nature and quiet. This was really inspiring for me to see. Thank you!

I loved this tiny! As Bryce so aptly stated, the double staircase is a true feature of this stunningly beautiful home. The natural timber with the white contrast in the interior of the home is absolutely lovely. The location of the home is perfect! I’ve said it before, and I will say it again, how I wish I lived in New Zealand! Kudos Bryce and Rasa! ❤😊

Always so wonderful to see families choosing and thriving in a tiny house. Would love to hear or see more of families with 2 adults and 2 kids, seems like it's on the rarer side. Wonder if thats were tiny living meets its limit...
As people have mentioned, the blonde natural timber in this home is absolutely beautiful and really gives it a fresh, light, airy feeling! It’s definitely a design to save and copy one day!
Absolutely gorgeous, and simple and green and pretty! And yet another stunning location. No wonder NZ is at the top of my bucket list! Really great that Kirsty has created a place where there are other young kids to play with her daughter, and big kids to play with her! That double staircase is not only a great storage solution, but a beautiful architectural feature as well. Wishing them a beautiful life in their new home and community!
This is one of my favourite tiny houses. It's so thoughtfully planned for maximum space and functionality, and Kirsty has decorated it beautifully.
I can relate to her, i dont have a TV in the house too. Good because i divert my time to other precious things
Please, please, puh-leeeeez do 100 tiny house videos a month. I love them so much. What a treasure this last house is: beautiful inside and out. The stair case is stunning, and the kitchen is lovely, just the right size: it doesn't take over the downstairs yet looks beautifully functional. Love this one. It's my favorite, but then EVERY one is my favorite. Thanks so much for these videos: they make me so happy.

I really like the way this house is set up! The doors on the bedrooms is such a smart idea and is a good way to future-proof things as her daughter grows older and wants some privacy.

Yes, I agree about no TV. Haven't had TV since 2007! I too would be interested in energy, heating, cooling, water supply and water collection, solar panels (Kirsty obviously has an internet connection). Great house and environment.

I love the loft for the child - this really has potential for her to be her room into her teens. Very good choice on installing doors. Imho the key to having a good life at a shared space is the possibility to be for oneself every once in a while.

One of the best tiny houses I have seen. Will cope as the kid becomes a teen. Most will not. Would miss a tv/monitor as I like to watch utube etc.

i love this tiny house, it doesn't feel cramped even at the loft. light and spacious and also having neighbors close by is a bonus.

I like the loft bedrooms. It really leaves a lot more room for a living room/kitchen/bathroom. This lady has another fantastic view with privacy and room to grow her own crops.
